That is fine, Phyllis. It is just more people can see them here. If you want to re-post here, that is fine, too! Do you know how to "edit" and "copy"?

Mini-Challenge #6: Oh no, I like it!

For me, this was Harry Potter. I didn't read them as I just thought the hype was all a bit much, and hey, they are children's books! So it wasn't until the 5th book was just about to be published that I picked it up and that was only because I was on holidays and had read all my books and this was staring at me from the holiday house bookshelf. So I decided I may aswell give it a go.. Needless to say I finished the first 2 books in 2 days and didn't look back...lol

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Mini-Challenge #6: Oh no, I like it!
For me it was Twilight series. I read the first one because a friend of mine made me do it. I didn't like the book. I even mock it and everything, but was stubborn enough to read through the series. Alas, breaking down made me like the story! I should have stopped while I had the chance.

Fifty Shades was read because I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. It made me start reading again after 6 months of not cracking a book open, so, as bad as the book is, it had some merit for me.

If you could be/meet a character from a book, who would you be and why?

Cadet Blue
I would be Ella Varner because then I would have Jack Travis, my favorite romantic hero. A tall, dark, and handsome Texan. **sigh**

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Sonia, I actually thought Breaking Dawn was very disappointing and contrived. The cop out end to the love triangle was annoying... For me, the only book I liked was New Moon (book 2)

message 208: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Weill, I blame the audio narrator. She managed to give Biella some personality. Yes, the solution for the love triangle was off. But the books never made much sense to me. What I liked on breaking down was some of the dialogues, Bella's new world and the display of the various vampire gifts.

Did you know that there are 8 phases of the moon? For this mini-challenge, can you find 4 different covers with different moon phases?

Nope, only if the task specifies that it has to be your shelf. Most of them are just from random searches.

Yep, our favorite cupcake eater is right :)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments LOL!! I really want cupcakes today, too. Or cake. Some friends of mine were talking about cake today and I can't get it out of my mind! I don't feel like baking and I don't want the weight gain so I'm just going to focus on my yogurt with granola and strawberries and my coffee, which at least has some chocolate/caramel flavored creamer, lol. Must resist cake until Mother's Day (we all know that calories consumed on special days do not count, right?? HEHE)

One of my favorite flowers, plus cake!

message 240: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Pretty.

Portuguese mother's day was yesterday. But we didn't have any cake.

Now I want some cake too. Or ice cream. A rich vanilla & caramel & chocolate & nuts ice cream.

Something like this:

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments YES! That is one of my favorite combinations for ice cream, Sonia!!! <3<3<3

Now I want a Peanut Buster Parfait from the Dairy Queen...to go with my invisible cake, LOL!!!

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments I want a cupcake now. And by "A cupcake" I really mean "5-6 cupcakes."

I am going to the store after work. I shouldn't buy the stuff to make them at home... should I? X)

Peanut Butter desserts sound good right now too. Yum.

Bad calories... bad!

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments *snort* "and by "a cupcake" I really mean "5-6 cupcakes" -- oh boy, do I speak that language, Steven. I would tell you to buy the ingredients but I'm torn between being your evil angel or the good angel. Normally, I'm all about the evil but since I'm trying to maintain some discipline until Mother's Day I don't want to be hypocritical and encourage you. Do what you will, hehe!

I did decide on my Mother's Day treat, though - pink lemonade cupcakes in Tinkerbell wrappers. Hope they're good, never made them before. 6 more days, I can do it...stay strong, Teresa.
