Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him. That changes when the lovely mortal auditor Delilah tumbles into his arms after a seemingly random attack. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his hydraulics - that is, as long as Delilah is the woman in his arms.

His scruples about taking Delilah to bed vanish when his shrink suggests it's the only way to cure his problem. Thinking all he needs is one night with her, Samson indulges in a night of pleasure and passion.

I do believe I have found my favorite erotic book for this year and it's also has my favorite genre paranormal. This book is romantic, witty and pure down right hot. The author does a wonderful job in how she brings this erotic romance together. I was floored as I keep reading and the story keep getting deeper. It has humor, twist and turns, suprise's danger, villains, a excellent cast of vampire male characters the author can run on and OMG the sex is amazing there is a little spanking and rear door. This is not a short Novella it has over 300 pgs.

Samson is owner of Scaguards, (in other words he is filthy rich) he has a mishap that leaves him impotent. He tries everything even goes to a shrink. When his birthday come his friends let him know there is a stripper on the way. So his day is getting worse he cant get it up and now he has to have a stripper there needless to say he is not a happy camper. Until someone comes crashing in his door.

Delilah lives in New York and works for Scaguards and is sent to California to help audit at the office there. Little does she know on her way home one night after getting take out she is walking in the pouring down rain and some man tries to hurt her. She runs to the closet house and asks for help. Little did she know the owner would think she is the stripper.

Things I loved.
I loved how the author takes you into the hero and heroine past and helps them over come their issues together, it just makes for a better romance for me. I also loved how the author introduces you to the next character in this book, so you already know him and what hes like. The book reads more like a paranormal romance added with the erotic, its something I've been looking for.

3 1/2 Stars - Enjoying lighthearted steamy vampire love

It was a time since I last read a m/f vampire romance. Let it be fun. Samson's Lovely Mortal was a freebie I added with the audiobook for $2.29 some weeks ago. 9:14 hrs narrated by Kevin Foley. My first book by Tina Folsom and this male narrator. A Samson & Delilah tale. Yum, I was happy expectant.

description description description description

...and nine hours later still smiling. Good enough - 3 1/2 stars!

*********************************************

San Francisco, U.S. resent day...

The mighty Vampire Samson Woodford is a bachelor in his best years and he have a HUGE "male" problem. He can't.. . Poor fellow! Unfortunately isn't Samson's shrink able to help him. Then it all suddenly changes to better when a female mortal auditor, the lovely Delilah Sheridan tumbles into his arms. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his...

‘Well, sex was overrated anyway. At least, it was what he was trying to convince himself of. There were nights when he believed his own lies, but it never lasted long.’

 photo image_zps490b10bc.jpg

Delilah is a New York girl, quite lonely without much of a impressive party life. She is a hard working auditor (a job I feel some connection to - which made me smile even happier) and are now visiting a company ('Scanguard') in San Francisco looking for illegal cheats in the accounts. (A pretty fun and important quote for us ladies in some kind of accounting jobs: )

All attention from this stunning handsome man is both flattering and a bit breathtaking for Delilah. Samson, on his side is charming desperate. He just must get this mortal woman who arouses his desires to his bed as soon as possible. A steamy amusing romance starts ...but she doesn't know he is a bloodsucking vampire and there are some bumps and turns on this HEA-road. Add a bunch of interesting second characters to get to know more about in later books.

*********************************************

The male narrator and the audiobook edition
Kevin Foley is a good narrator ....for male voices, his female sounds a bit whining with a damsel in distress voice. Whatever, I liked to listening to this one. Nine hours isn't too long for a "good enough" romance either.

*********************************************

I giggled from start
This (poor sulking) Samson hero really needed some (hands on) help for his manhood misery. I wanted him to be cured, haha. Who wants a sulky proud vampire? Samson's Lovely Mortal could maybe be labeled as a sweet steamy PNR in "the fun for the moment - soon forgotten" genre. A genre I often appreciate. (Perfect for audiobooks as well.)
 photo image.jpg5_zpsjftii6pj.jpg

‘Delilah tilted her head back, and he seized the opportunity to sink his lips onto her exposed neck. Her tempting neck. He could feel her hot blood running through the throbbing vein right underneath her pale skin. So delicious. So trusting.’

 photo c2cab675cefb49777c9baff0a81fabd2_zps80c48256.jpg

I'm satisfied, this was fun and entertaining m/f PNR. ~ I'm not sure I'll read or listening to all 11 books in this 'Scanguards Vampires' series (standalones with new lovebirds), but I will at least pick up book #8, Thomas's Choice about Samson's gay vampire buddy. A "boys love boys" vampire romance in this lighter genre sounds too much fun to miss.

*********************************************

Well worth two single bucks.

I LIKE - to visit sexy smart vampires now and then

Samson's Lovely Mortal is the first book in Tina Folsom's Scanguards Vampires series, and I really enjoyed it. It's a sexy and fun world these vamps live in, and this one has a great mystery added to the mix. Not too heavy and not too light, it's definitely an entertaining start to the series.

Amaury's story is up next, and from what I know of him, it's going to be one heck of a read.

Just when I thought I've read it all, I see the blurb to this book. A vampire with erectile disfunction? Too funny.

The opening line to this book. “Let me suck your cock."

Did that get your attention? It certainly got mine.

Samson can't seem to get it up anymore, and so he goes to a shrink, Dr. Drake, to see if maybe the good doctor can help him.

“I'm here for . . . the issue is . . . uh, my problem has to do with . . .”
Yeah, poor Samson.

His friends decide for his birthday that they will send him a stripper in hopes to help fix his problem. What happens next is nothing short of hilarious. At least it was for me, but I have a corky sense of humor. *shrugs*

The characters were fun to read. Each of them having their own different personalities and adding more humor to the book. The story itself was really good as well. Lots of twists and turns. Even though it was a bit predicable, it didn't take away from the entertainment at all.

I will eventually read the rest of this series and I definitely recommend this to PRN readers and even non-PRN readers I think will enjoy this story.

I leave you with one last quote..

“There are good and bad among us, just as there are good and bad among humans. Turning into a vampire doesn’t make you bad. And being human doesn’t make you good.”

4 1/2 stars. Very good!!

From the very first hot sentence, to the last page, this book had me hooked. Samson and Delilah (I know *rolls eyes*, just some of the author's warped subtle humor) have sizzling chemistry. She seems to be the answer to his...ahem....problem. He can't get IT up and once he meets her...IT doesn't want to go down. Funny stuff. The connection they have is more than sexual and he has feelings for her that are not normal for a vampire. What a fun journey exploring this unique world, and their discovery of each other in a very emotional and intimate way. Some great secondary characters, a bit of a mystery, and lots of steamy stuff!!
My only complaint is that the last few pages, which were pivotal in the story, felt a bit rushed.

I will definitely follow this series through to the end and be looking for other books by this author.

Oh Sweet Holy mother of Baby Jesus..

I dont really know why I decided to buy this off Kindle earlier today.. I've been walking around in complete withdrawal mode, ever since finishing the BDB books.. I mean, I have a million books, I already own, but everytime I picked one up, I couldnt get into it because I felt like nothing could really compare to the BDB books I had just devoured.. And absolutly loved..

I really wanted something to take my mind away from the fact that I have to wait a million years for the next BDB book, so when I quickly read about this book on Amazon, and noticed it said something about Paranormal romance, and sex scenes, I just thought.. What the fuck, who doesnt like a good steamy book once in a while?

And oh dear God.. Steamy cant even begin to describe how hot this book is? I mean.. Wow..

Ok, so yeah the plot could have been a lot more exciting, and the characters too, but I'll give 4 stars, any day, to a book as hot as this one.. I mean.. Seriously.. Just.. Wow!

If you like sex and a guy with fangs thrown into it, my guess is, you'll probably like this book.. Hot!

It took me awhile to read this, and its fairly short. The beginning was okay. I like the way that Samson and Delilah meet. I was laughing at the way the meeting took place and who he thought she was. It was different. Then, I started getting bored and skimming. First, when Samson called her vagina a 'lush canopy' and her breasts Asia and Europe, or somthing. Okay, okay, I laughed at that part. Her nipples were rock hard mountain peaks, for gosh sakes!

Certain phrases caught my eye that I normally would have been able to skim over, but for some reason they stuck in my brain and bothered me. One part was, "He knew the city like his back pocket." Huh? You mean, like the back of his hand? Or, there is a part where Delilah cuts her hand on a knife in the kitchen and Samson yells to Amaury, "Get the bandaids! They're in the drawer next to the stove." I never knew people kept first aid kits next to the silverware.

So, a few things bothered me, and I just couldn't get into the story. The characters were immature, and though the premise of a male vamp with erectile dysfunction was funny, it just wasn't conducive to a sexy paranormal romance. I think I've been spoiled by Bones and Barrons. Which is completely unfair, but there you go.

I love when I come across a book that surpasses my expectations, and Samson's Lovely Mortal definitely succeeded in doing that. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. The story did border on the ridiculous, but the humor, drama, and steamy sexiness more than made up for it.

If you're looking for a quick, sexy, somewhat silly read, Samson's Lovely Mortal more than delivers.

Samson's Lovely Mortal is the first in a series by Tina Folsom. I've never heard of the series or the author before this book. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice blend of romance, urban fantasy & mystery.

Samson is a vampire with anger issues. He's pissed because his psycho ex-girlfriend was a gold digger.

bitch photo tumblr_ll8864ihso1qg742l.gif

Poor guy has been having trouble with sexy times since. I have to say I've read a lot of vampire novels and no one has ever had this problem before.

huh photo Huh-sheldon.gif

The heroine, Delilah, is an accountant.

yawn photo tumblr_lwhtxb5d3F1r6aoq4o1_250.gif

Yeah, she's a bit boring in the beginning.

Anyway, she's a human auditing the Scanguard company, which happens to be owned by Samson. She is attacked and in desperation to get away, winds up at the home of Samson. He thinks she's a stripper sent by his friends to relieve him of his problem. Surprisingly, it does.

kiss photo tumblr_mi0kudsqss1s4kv5ho1_500.gif

The story unfolds and loyalties are questioned. The sexy times are quite sexy.

Ultimately, there was nothing terribly unique or surprising in this novel, but it was light and entertaining. And the world building was easy to follow, introduced new characters I'm sure we'll see later. I always hope for HEA, and I was not let down.

Paranormal Romance/Erotica writer Tina Folsom has the reader panting and craving more with Samsom's Lovely Mortal. If you love a hot and passionate paranormal romance then you are going to LOVE Samson's Lovely Mortal. This is one book where I do not want to give too much information away because I want the reader to experience and savor every page-turning moment. What I will tell you is the lead character, Samson, is the owner of Scanguard Enterprises and who happens to be a gorgeous vampire with a slight problem. Delilah is a mortal woman who literally falls into his world and stirs feelings and emotions that he has never felt before. What ensues is a passionate romance that not only includes very hot, intense sex scenes but the development of a truly loving relationship. There was one point in the book where the emotional build up was so intense that you could feel the character's heartache and pain that I broke down crying and had to put the book down several times to compose myself to continue on. I really enjoyed how Tina developed the mythology surrounding vampires with a very interesting one that will definitely put a smile on your face. I'm a big romantic thus the development of the relationship and the many hot sex scenes had me glued to the pages.

5 Stars for an intense book that will leave you needing a long cold shower or perhaps several.

4 Lovely Stars for Samson and Delilah!!!

"Tonight he would take her to his bed, and he would be just a man, a man who wanted her. He would forget he was a vampire."

Samson is a tall, strong handsome vampire and Delilah is the 'Lovely Mortal' They have an over whelming sexual desire for each other.....It's lovely!!

This story is witty, humorous, romantic and sexy with a good mix of goodies and baddies!! Samson has a little problem (he can't get it up, oh dear!) but Delilah comes along and needless to say she is his solution, but could the 'Lovely Mortal' be part of a vampires life? Haha, the age old question in vampire books....yes it is cliched in places and slightly sentimental but I loved it all the same!

"You amaze me. It feels like you're two different people, one wild and one tender."

"There was only one place she wanted him right now, and it was inside of her, captured between her thighs. For however long she could keep him there." Oh yes.....it was hot!!!

"Samson sensed this special bond with Delilah. He couldn't describe the feeling; he just knew that it was right........she sensed the connection too, probably without realizing....."

Who wouldn't love a tall, powerful, handsome, stranger sweeping a beautiful lady of her feet, falling deeply in love and saving her from her boring ordinary life and all the evil baddies??!!

"There are good and bad things among us, just as there are good and bad among humans. Turning into a vampire doesn't make you bad. And being human doesn't make you good."

4 STARS!!

To be honest...I didn’t know what to expect from this one. I only read the blurb and it sounded like a real fun: “Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore.” Hahahah...Okay... I was intrigued :D

After reading it the only thing I can say is: I LOVED it!!! It was such a fun, sexy and entertaining read. I liked all the characters and I think the book was very well written.

What I loved about it: First of all, I liked that we get to really know the characters (Samson and Delilah). We learn about their pasts and that helps a lot to actually understand the way they act. Samson is hot, funny and protective! Delilah is strong, smart and absolutely lovable heroine. Their relationship is soooo sweet!! From their first meeting I could almost feel their connection and how they are made for each other. The author does an amazing job!!

“You taste good enough to eat.”
“I thought you’ve already had dinner”
Samson smirked, “I skipped the dessert”

Ohhh...and the steamy parts....SOOO GOOOOD...

Samson's Lovely Mortal is a great start of the series. I hope the others are as good as this one. I will definitely read them!!

Samson Woodford owns a successful security & bodyguard business called Scaguards and because of his success & wealth (not to mention his dark & sexy good looks) he is one of the most sought after bachelors in the vampire world. After an unpleasant break-up he is left with some male problems, ya’know, down there. You’re going to make me say it? Okay, he’s left impotent. Poor dear.
He even starts seeing a shrink but to no avail. Until his friends decide to throw him a very much un-anticipated birthday party complete with stripper. Needless to say, with his current problem, Samson is not looking forward to it. That is until someone comes crashing through his front door that night and things start looking up. Literally.
Delilah Sheridan is in California on a business trip auditing a company she was contracted for and looking into some financial discrepancies. It’s not a very exciting job but hey, someone’s gotta do it! And she is damn good at it too. On her way home one night she is attacked by a stranger but manages to escape. She starts pounding on the first door she gets to, and isn’t it just her luck. The guy mistakes her for a stripper!

I won this book, and the next two in the series, from Tina’s guest post over at the wonderful Bitten by Paranormal Romance. Thank you ladies!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I started on Samson's Lovely Mortal but boy, what an opener! That first line grabs you and holds on through out the entire book!
Samson's Lovely Mortal is a wonderfully told story with a light & quirky dialogue and well developed characters & relationships. It really reads as a paranormal romance but with mind blowing sex scenes. For reals. The plot is simple but easily holds your attention and flows nicely. Both Samson and Delilah each have their own issues they need to overcome before they can really have a solid relationship and the book covers those and their pasts nicely without getting dull. There is also a host of secondary characters that are just as likeable as the main characters and you’ll be searching for more info on them and upcoming books after finishing this read. Overall a very intimate, enticing and humorous read that doesn’t lack on suspense with a whodunit and is filled to the brim with heart stopping romance and sexual encounters. I definitely recommend!

Warning this is an 18+ year old only review!

This first in Folsom's Scanguards Vampires series is set in San Francisco and has an opening line that certainly grabs your attention: "Let me suck your cock." This paranormal romance comes complete with vampires, embezzling, betrayal, a mortal love, romance, a little humor and a precious gift.

Folsom has created some very believable characters - both primary and secondary ones, even if she uses much of the traditional vampire lore with only a few twists. The story line is somewhat inventive although it is fairly similar to Lynsay Sands' A Bite To Remember Argeneau series story.

Sexy, 6 ft tall Samson, the male lead, is a vampire having an impotence issue (which is virtually unheard of in a vampire) until he mistakes Delilah for the vamp stripper his friends hired for his birthday party. When she leaves so does his erection.

Delilah, a human forensic accountant and the female lead, is having the nightmares again and then suddenly finds herself in the nightmare in reality. When Samson mistakes her for the stripper and kisses her, she has a "severe attack of lust" and she hasn't felt aroused in a long time.

The story has some great humorous lines in it such as:
"Great, a shrink operating from a dungeon and a Barbie doll as the gatekeeper!"
"Coffins were out. Tempur-Pedic mattresses were in."

Sexually, I rate this as a 3.5 out of 4. There is sensual teasing in a theater and lobby, hot petting in a limo, sexy lovemaking on the rug in front of a fireplace and a very provocative shower scene, not to mention an entire night spent having sex in bed. There is also an angry spanking and anal sex scene that takes place on the couch between secondary characters which is the reason this doesn't have a 3 rating.

This was a very quick read for me - a single afternoon - which I enjoyed. I look forward to reading the other books in this series to see what mischief the secondary characters get into. Paranormal romance and vampire fans should thoroughly enjoy this book.

Warning Spoiler Alert!!!
This comes complete with an HEA.

Oh man, this was bad. I feel guilty trashing someone’s hard work but this was a major stinker. But the book was free and the audiobook only $1.99 if you owned the book, so I gave it 2 stars for the economy of the suffering. (You’re welcome for the commercial, amazon.)

Much of the time I felt seriously embarrassed for the author. What the hell was she thinking? The very first line is ”Let me suck your cock, which I gather is supposed to shock and catch our attention. Instead, it made me think that I was in for a plotless wonder. (You should hear from a man mimicking a woman’s voice. Hilarious!) When our tall, dark and flaccid hero fails to get it up, we learn the basic plot where the H is a vampire who has erectile dysfunction. (Oh my god! I just…I need to hide my face.) Of course, he can only be cured by the human heroine. (Oh! Oh! I can hardly stand to think about it!) Their names? Samson and Delilah. I kid you not. Truly, I spent so much time cringing, I developed a crick in my neck.

There were attempts to make it exciting by having bad guys (complete with facial scarring) chase the heroine, rescues by the H and his gang of hawt vamps (Surprise!), and an evil OW who only wanted the hero for his billions (went way OTT to Farfetched Land). Much of the dialogue, especially between the heroine and the OW, was so juvenile and ridiculous, I was almost a DNF. But, no! I suffered through the rest of it and I was not going to quit with only 30 minutes left, no matter how utterly stupid it was! I would share more but it’s totally unnecessary. Just imagine every clichéd and big bow ending you can think of and it’ll be there. The only surprise I got was .

I’ll just end by saying, if you decide to go down this treacherous road and take advance of the “great deal” on the audiobook, don’t listen while in public. You’ll catch yourself blurting out “Are you effing kidding me!” and other choice expletives. I did.

This book was a helluva lot of fun. I hate to warn you all because this one was a slow starter and poorly edited, but I have read the next books in the series, and I feel good about recomending this one because both problems are cleared up by subsequent books.

The mystery in this book was kind of "meh" but the vampire boner jokes were funny. I liked that in this universe, vampires are not so insanely powerful and have jobs and everyday problems. The book is much more like a contemporary Harlequin type romance and is much less gothic than other vampire related books. Depending on how you feel about that, you may like this book more or less.

Now lets get to the fucking point- the fucking! There is tons! And its awesome! And really pervy in the best possible way. If you don't like anal or blood drinking, go read Sweet Valley High and don't leave mean comments here because Tina Folsom is like a super dirty Christine Feehan, and I mean that in the best possible way. I would recomend this series to anybody based on that alone. As a bonus, the characters are cute, sweet and there is a wonderful and suprising HEA.

Even better, the price of this book is lower than the goodreads star value if you buy it in the bundle! I know I shouldn't review based on price, but this one can't be beat with a stick.

I put off reading this book for awhile because of the opening sentence. I needed some time to prepare myself and be in the mood for the subject matter. Surprisingly, it was nothing once I decided to read it and got past the first page. It was a light vampire read. The vampires were operating like mortals -- impotency problems, broken relationships, and seeing shrinks. I thought it was entertaining and enjoyed the first half of the book but the second half of the book lacked depth and the dialogue completely fell off. Plus, there were story lines brought up that did not add to the plot at all, such as -- Delilah's father being in a home due to suffering from Alzheimer's disease and she never visited him because it is too hard to deal with. To me, this did not add to her character. Samson was somewhat immature which was funny because he was like over two hundred years old. And what was the meaning of the love scene between Amaury and the red-headed vampire. I thought that would come back up and be a serious issue once it was out in the open seeing as she was Samson's ex. But, when it was mentioned towards the end it was quickly sidelined. See, somethings in the book just made no sense and were totally irrelevant to the plot.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!...what a great little gem this author is! I would have had no clue that she or this series even existed had this book not recently been put up as a free kindle book over at Amazon!
I had no clue what to expect going in..a lot of times the free kindle books..namely the pnrs, are very short and don't really contain a lot of story..they're just erotic novellas..but his book was FULL LENGTH and a really great paranormal romance at that!! It had a good suspenseful mystery type storyline that wasn't necessarily unpredictable, BUT it was definitely entertaining and the romance between Samson and Delilah..I KNOW!..SAMSON AND DELILAH!..how funny is THAT!?..was really HOT and sweet!! It actually reminded me of a more erotic Love at Stake book, which happens to be one of my favorite series. I would not hesitate in recommending this book to anyone looking for new pnr book..especially since it's FREE..RIGHT NOW!..so GO GET IT at Amazon.com!! I can't vouch for the series as a whole since i've only read this first book but i truly enjoyed this one so much that i am on to the 2nd one as soon as i'm done writing this review!! :)

Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires, #1) For the past nine months, Samson Woodford has been suffering from something no man wants to suffer from. Least of all a virile vampire like him. Erectile dysfunction. No matter what he does, no matter who helps him, he just can’t get it up. And frankly, it’s embarrassing.

Even more embarrassing is the fact his friends know about it and they suggested seeing a shrink. Could he sink any lower? And then those same friends arrange for a stripper for his “surprise” birthday party. A stripper rumored to do a little extra on the side. She’s bound to get the blood flowin’, right?

Samson is in the process of feeling sorry for himself while waiting for the stripper to show up, when someone bangs on his door. In the middle of the night. In the middle of a storm. And a woman flies into his arms as soon as the door is open.

And suddenly his plumbing is working again. His friends knew what they were talking about. The stripper is a miracle-worker.

Only it turns out the woman in his arms, the woman whose mouth he’s plundering, the woman who’s got his downstairs equipment working again, isn’t the stripper. But a human woman fleeing from an attacker. Well, Samson cannot dally with a human woman. Not after nine months of abstinence. He’s bound to break her. But since his plumbing is working again, and the stripper is conveniently present—and vampire, he sends the human woman on her way (providing dry clothes and a limousine as apology for having mistaken her for a stripper), and takes the party upstairs.

The only problem is, nothing seems to be working downstairs anymore. At least not with the vampire stripper. Is it possible it was all the human woman’s doing? And how fast can he get her back into his arms?

I picked this one up solely based on the blurb. Because the concept of a vampire (they’re supposed to be a virile bunch of blood-suckers that keep on going) who cannot get it up was too much to pass on. And hilarious to boot. Needless to say I didn’t expect much except light entertainment.

You can imagine my surprise at finally finding an erotic romance that appealed to me on all counts. Sex? Check. Plot? Check? Good plot? Check. But let’s not stop there. There were vampires. I love vampires. There was a suspense sub-plot. I love romantic suspense. But what really worked for this story was the humor (often self-deprecating, but that’s the best kind) and the amazing characters.

Delilah was a beauty to read (despite her descent into stupidity toward the end—but I forgave her), Samson was your usual hunky, yummy, possessive, horny, well-hung vampire (with an added bonus of his “wittwe” problem that added a humorous, yet realistic touch to the fiction), Carl, the butler, was a very butleresque vampire, and Samson’s friends were a weird bunch of hoots-inducing friends (trying to help a friend in dire straits, while poking fun of him at the same time). What struck me most was that this was an erotic romance (yes, it had plenty of sex scenes, and not just between the main two characters), with equal part erotica and actual romance. Because while most erotica novels concentrate on the sexual aspect of a relationship, the sex seemed to take a backseat to the romance brewing between the human and the vampire.

And what a cute, sweet, sexy, bitter-sweet romance it was. It had it all, the lust-at-first-sight, the sex on the first date, the misunderstandings, the lies, the half-truths, the forgive-me scenes, the ‘splaining-to-do, the make-up sex. And the fighting.

You don’t usually get much fighting between H/h in paranormals (at least not paranormals I read). The women are usually mowed down by the big, strong Alpha, but Samson and Delilah (cute coupling of names, don’t you think?) actually fought like a regular couple. She yelled, he growled that they weren’t done talking, she banged the door, he banged the door, they snapped, the yelled, they stomped...And they had make-up sex. They actually sounded real (despite him being a vampire, that is).Yeah, as I mentioned, there was a suspense sub-plot that was ingenious, and complemented the main romance story perfectly. All angles of this story worked perfectly with one-another, drawing the story forward, bringing the characters closer together, twining their separate stories into the one major plot.

Oh, one last thing. I loved the fact Ms. Folsom didn’t change the vampire lore—the stake through the heart, the burn to a crisp in sunlight—though she did add the “allergy” to silver, and the ability to live on bottled blood. I liked the labels, though. ;)And I loved the fact Ms. Folsom’s vampires don’t have to turn humans in order to bond with them, instead it’s all in the essence.

So really, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series (though I fear nothing could compare to the story of a vampire who couldn’t get it up and the woman who “cured” him :P).

When I read the back of the book and it said

"Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him"

I knew I had to read this book and had a feeling that I was going to love it either way. It such a great book and it was funny also

★★★½ or ★★★★.
This one reminded me of the Argeneaus.

This one was a bit of a surprise. It wasn't heavy vampire stuff. It was light and fluffy. So Samson was a vampire suffering from erectile dysfunction for 9 months. His friends decided the best way to help him rise to the occasion was for a stripper to come and entice his inner beast to come out to play. So for his birthday, he waited for boom boom belinda to come and rock his world.
On the same day, Delilah was getting attached, so she ran to the nearest house and knocked on the door. Of course, it was Samson house. Imagine Samson's amusement at the fact that his birthday present comes complete with a "kidnapping--save me theme".
But the great thing was the great "Acting" was really working for him, it awoke his inner hunter and his body was responding. Well for the rest, you will have to read it. LOL!

4 The Scanguard Scandal Stars
This book starts off rough and hot
Let me suck your cock

And it is followed up with a story I didn’t expect. This book doesn’t have Twilight or True Blood vibes. This book give the vibes of interview with a vampire except brought into a civilized modern world. Fangs, blood, sex, and non-apologetic alphas and with all of that .. you actually get a HUMAN story of vampires!! ( erectile dysfunction, dysfunctional love stories, cheaters, liars and more )
This story is about a vampire named Samson who is rich in money and poor in love. He has been kicked and punched when it comes to love and his body no longer responds to a woman or a man’s touch for that matter and he feels love, lust and sex will never appear back into his life. His friends try desperately to get him out of his funk.

This story is about two damaged people who find each other and find healing for their past pains and are able to imagine a future .. one that may in fact last forever.
Delilah grows throughout this book and Samson opens up as well so that was great to see happen.
The sex is hot all over the place and the verbiage occasionally just makes me laugh out loud ( think: sheathe, nipples like mountains, shaft, womb) and I think it still works even if it pulled me away from the audible for a bit.
I wish some areas were explored a bit better such as Delilah’s past it was too much to be wrapped so quick.

Excuse me, but why is there no button for 15 stars?? Because I just read a book that needs that designation!!!

Wow. Super wow. I loved this book. It ranks up there with Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall. Yeah, seriously. In fact, I don't know which I loved more. But I think they are not really similar enough to compare. Yes, they are both paranormal romance but I kind of think that's where the similarities end. As always, let me give you a little into...

Samson is a vampire, a rich vampire. No, more like offensively rich. LOL! He lives in San Francisco and owns/runs Scanguard, a security company. He has his close friends around him who hold key positions in the company but on this night, he wishes he didn't have friends!! Its Samson's birthday and they think they're surprising him....with a stripper....again... See, Samson's been having a... problem. He can't get it up. Its been like that since he broke up with someone nine months ago. There's a pounding on his front door. He opens it and a beautiful woman rushes into his arms, yelling for his help. Huh? What's happening?? Ohhhhhh!! He gets it! This is the stripper! Wow, she's a great actress!! So he plays along... and starts kissing her. And touching her. And wait, is that...? Could it be...? YES!! An erection!!! And then BOOM! She slaps him!!

What Samson doesn't realize is that that woman is NOT the stripper, she's Delilah. She's an auidtor and is only in town for a few weeks. She's auditing a company that has seen some accounting irregularities. She was on her way back to her corporate condo when she was attacked. She narrowly escaped the bad guy and ran but he followed her. She ran to the first house she saw, this beautiful old Victorian and started banging on the door. Someone answered! Yes!! But wow, is he handsome!! He slams the door behind her just in time. She thanks him and explains what happened...but why is he looking at her like that? Whoa! Why is he kissing her?!? What kind of perv did she run into? Maybe she was safer with the bad guy chasing her?!?!

Then someone clears their throat behind them and its Samson's friends and a woman dressed in a naughty nurse costume!! Ummm, someone has some explaining to do!!!

That's how the book starts out. It was quite funny in some places. I have to admit, I cried a teensy bit towards the end. There's just this really sweet part with Delilah and her father and it just broke my heart. So it has laughs, it has tears and oh my does it have SexyTime!! I think this book should be labeled Erotica but to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between Romance and Erotica. The sex wasn't kinky or weird. But there was A LOT of it. And it was nicely descriptive... ;) This book was so damn hot. I loved every single second of it. I'm so glad that I own it because I WILL be reading this again. In fact, I would read THIS again before I would read Fifty Shades again. Oh yeah. I said it. And oh yeah, its that good. I beg you, dear readers, give this book a shot. You will NOT be disappointed. Just make sure you warn you husband/wife/boyfriend/partner that you're going to be a randy little minx for a while. After all, its only fair!! LOL!! I definitely recommend this book. 100 times over!!!! Awesome awesome!!

I just wanted to start by saying that this was probably my favourite free Kindle book I have read so far. I'll presume you have read the book description so I'll just go from there. I'll give a couple of basic parts of the book to help you decide if you want to read it yourself!
Samson is a vampire who owns a security company. Since his betrayel from ex-girlfriend Ilona, he has been unable to get an erection. That was nine months ago. For his birthday, his friends decide to get him a stripper in the hopes it will help him with his 'problem'.
Delilah (Samson and Delilah, took me ages to catch on to this lol) is attacked in the street and runs for help, banging on a door... and yes you guessed it... Samsons door. So he automatically assumes that she is the stripper! (just want to say that these scenes of the book are fantastic, absolutely hilarious) and his friends show no mercy in ridiculing him for his mistake. But they soon notice the 'effect' she has had on Samsons body!
There is a really good storyline that accompanies the romantic relationship. Somebody is trying to steal Samsons millions!
I won't go any further, but I just wanted to share the part of the book that had me in stitches. Samson was my fovourite character by a mile, if you read the book I am sure you will see why.
All the other characters are really interesting and I was glad to read that most of them have their own books, continuing the series. And even though I really shouldn't add new series to my ever growing collection, I will deffinately read the rest of the books.
I suggest you go to amazon very quickly and download this free ebook. It will not dissapoint!

Pretty steamy freebie with the usual, sexy, tall dark and handsome vampire. Beautiful human woman falls into moody vampires arms.

In all his hundreds of years he has never known a woman like her. Never been kissed like she kisses him. Never shagged like he has with her. It's like nothing he has ever experienced before.

Photobucket

Yeah yeah. You know how it goes! This one is pretty much the same. Although highly predictable plot line which we have all read before. It's still entertaining, romantic and pretty steamy. Great for a light hearted vampire action. Especially when it's free.

Again, it's probably one that if I had read a few years ago, would have had me reading the next in the series straight away.
