Rach (reeniebell) | 11 comments Hello all, I'm Reenie. I'm from North Yorkshire, England and I like to read to escape and unwind. My life shouldn't be stressful, but somehow I manage to get wound up by it, so reading helps me with that.
As for thrillers? I really like John Grisham (the way he makes you examine issues that you thought you had such resolve on) and Linwood Barclay, and am always looking for more page turners to bury my head into.

Paula Adams (goodreadscompadams57) | 1590 comments Hello Reenie, welcome to the group. I enjoy John Grisham's books too. My sister lives in Virginia and was working on a Sunday morning at a convenience store and in comes John Grisham to pick up his copy of the Sunday newpaper. My sister happened to be reading one of his books at the time and got up the courage to ask for an autograph. Things like that never happen to me.

Enjoy and you'll get plenty of recommentations here.

Leonard Mokos I live in rural Ontario, Canada, on the shores of Lake Huron. I have been, among other things, director of security for the largest hotel in the Commonwealth and a stock trader. You can usually find me hiking through Amish and Mennonite country. I enjoy the outdoors in everything from snorkel to skiis, according to the season. I wrote a literary/historical murder mystery, “THE BAD CANADIAN”, set in 1940 in Edenville, the fictitious standby for my home town. It's reviewing nicely for which I am incredibly proud and grateful.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 85 comments Oops, I posted in the "welcome new members" thread and I guess I should have started here.

Anyway, hello all! My name is Veronica and I live in Texas. I'm married to a wonderful man and we have four spirited children, a neurotic cat, and an antisocial dog. I work full time as a social worker and I have a book in my hand every spare moment I get. I read different genres but I tend to gravitate towards mysteries/thrillers and fantasy-science fiction, with some historicals thrown in for good measure.
