Its always nice to have an eclectic range of music. Something for every mood 😊

Amber Martingale Good point, but not all my videos are about music. :) Here's one of my non-musical examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed2AR... (Separatist Alliance VS Earth | FIRST CONTACT by Generation Tech)

Hi Rita, welcome aboard! I'm with you - romances as long as they have a bit of mystery and suspense in them. :)

message 7656: by Linda (new)

Linda | 1 comments Hey all, I am a crazy mad reader. I live in the Gold Coast, Australia. I love stand alone thrillers and psychological literary thrillers even better. I do not really care for series, mystery or crime novels.

The stand out book of the year for me has been Good Me Bad Me by Ali Land. Also these books were fantastic - The Twilight Wife - A J Banner and He Said She Said by Erin Kelly and all things Chevy Stevens - Never Let me Go.

I've never joined a book group before. Looking forward to being involved and getting some hot tips.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Welcome to the group Rita and Linda!!

Alexandra | 6 comments Hi everyone just joined goodreads recently but been an avid reader ever since i read Charlottes Web as a child! I mainly read thrillers and crime novels. I have read all Michael Connolly's books at least three times and have flitted in and out of others such a Kathy Reichs and Harlan Coben et al. I am currently reading Agatha Raisin as a bit of light relief but really want to expand my reading as i tend to stay very much within my comfort zone. Im not interested in high brow or classic fiction, im easily entertained just by a decent story and character (I may admit to being secretly in love with Harry Bosch). I like my true crime too i have a passion for serial killers and their psychology. Other than that i love my cats,my partner and music......oh yeah and Doris Day! x

I watched that. Pretty talented musicians. There is two brothers or cousins out there that are on youtube and they play the cello. They are called 2cellos (duh). They play AC/DC, GNR, Zep and others. Entertaining to listen as well as watch.

Amber Martingale Luck of the draw, S.A. Unless a video is literally 5 seconds away from ending or is less than 30 seconds long, everyone gets the URL to exactly whichever one of my YouTube videos is playing.

One of the shortest on my list is Sylvester saying "Sufferin' Succotash!"

message 7693: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) LOL, Amber!

message 7694: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale What? It's the truth, Kirsten, except when I'm feeling too lazy to give a separate URL to every new member, especially like when there's more than three at once.

message 7695: by Ray (new)

Ray Simmons | 3 comments Hello everyone! My name is Ray Simmons and I'm from
Bayou La Batre, the small town near Mobile, Alabama where Forrest Gump caught all those shrimp and became rich. I love my hometown and my childhood friends but I have lived most of my life in other countries. First, I was with the Army, then later, teaching English. I love books. My mom was a librarian and I grew up surrounded by books. I'm new to Goodreads and this group. I am an author also and I have four books published on Amazon. One of them is a thriller in the tradition of Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy. It features a strong, woman protagonist who is from China. I would love to feature it here in the group for discussion. Who do I talk to in order to make that happen? I'm not trying to push my sales, in fact, anyone can get it for free May 27th through May 31st from Amazon. What I want is real feedback from readers who love thrillers. That is why I would like to discuss it here. If anyone has any ideas on how to set up a discussion group for THE CHINA FORMULA by Ray Simmons send me a message. Thanks

Hello Ray,,
welcome to the group.

It is myself that you talk to !

We enjoyed thrillers, and will consider books to read, as long as you make them free for a read a long, and you answer questions.

Also we asked that you join in with the many posts and become part of the group first.

This let's the members get to know you and want to read your books.

I receive many requests by member authors to do a read a long.

Who have never posted in any threads. We are happy to support authors if they support the group, not do a read then disappear.

Many members, like myself are committed to many books, I alone have 48 books from authors and 63 books on net galley, so you could say I am about 2 years behind !

I hope you understand, regards

I am sure many will download your book and will give honest reviews. We have authors section to promote your free book for those dates.

And we can look at your book for a read a long later in the year

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) I've been so busy the past couple of weeks, so a warm welcome to all of our newest members, I hope that you will enjoy your time with our group!!!

My books will be free for the next five days. Download them and enjoy. Reviews would be appreciated but questions and discussion is just as important for me. Thanks! Ray Simmons
