Hi Friends! My name is Jess. I'm originally from Maryland but now in year 2 of Tennessee. Love it here and great views for reading. I have been a life long reader since the age of 3. Favorite childhood book was the Nancy Drew series. Since I wanted to be an FBI Profiler, I love mysteries, suspenseful novels, and yes I am partial to the lead detective being a chick because I have to live vicariously thru them, for having my son changed my career path. I am a teacher now but hope to teach sociology/criminal justice at our local college...no matter how old you get, you never stop dreaming.
Can't wait to get to know all of you
Hi , I am Carrie Robinson, 45, from a little village in Ohio;). I love reading, and I love thrillers, mysteries, and suspense fiction. I have a husband named Mark, 3 grown children, 3 stepdaughters, and our 6 year old Luke. Also, I have 3 grandbabies and 1 grand baby-in-law. I am happy to have found this group.

Welcome tot he family, ladies!
I have been in this group for a while but have never introduced myself. My name is Mike and I work in the legal department (not an attorney) at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. I also run a production company called Frantic Lounge Films. We have been making movies since 2011. Mostly short films but we shot our first feature length film last year. It is still being edited. I also fancy myself a writer - I wrote the feature and the majority of the films we have shot. I have never written a novel - screenplays seem to be more my speed... and I write mostly comedy but wrote a 25-minute thriller that turned out quite well (editing on that one is also almost done)... so there you go. I try to read as much as I can but it is slow going... There are just not enough hours in the day. I read mostly thrillers but dabble in most other genres as well.
Welcome to the group Mike. That must be exciting working in the film business behind the scenes. I wish you well with your production company. Love the name. I never think there are enough hours in the day for the reading I want to do. We are a friendly bunch, enjoy!
Hi Andreia and welcome to the group.I also hate romance, vampire and all those type of books.
I read mostly thrillers/mysteries, like 99%.
I'll send you a friend request. Enjoy!
Nice to meet you too Andreia. Please share if you read any good books, I'm always looking for new authors to read.
Andreia ♥Mystery addict & Nature Lover♥ wrote: "sure ! :)"Thanks and I'll do the same if I think you would like it.
Welcome Andreia! I also love thrillers, mysteries, detective stories, cozy mysteries etc - my pile of unread book is huge and I always find new ones. And I'm a great animal lover. I'll send you a friend request if you don't mind. Enjoy reading! :)
Hi Britta, my TBR list is huge and getting bigger every day. I am also an animal lover. When I lived in MA last year I called my Congressman in DC to have him support a bill on animal cruelty prevention and punishment to those that are caught being abusive. I am always writing and signing petitions to save all animals from abuse. I read this one story this morning and it just makes me cry what some people are capable of. Then it makes me mad that they get away with it.
Hi, I'm Meredith. I'm a writer and live in New York City. I have a book coming out in a couple months, HELLMOUTH, a thriller. I read mostly mysteries and thrillers and I read a lot!

I'll keep on trying. My husband isn't as active as I am but he supports my efforts. He donates to my favorite pet charities.
Paula and Andreia, it's so good to hear that you are so active in animal support. It's so incredible what some people do to animals - so cruel and simply disgusting. Keep up your good work. - And it's so great that we have the same taste in books. I'm glad I registered here on goodreads - I found so many interesting new books which I added to my TBR pile. Greetings to everyone and enjoy reading! :)

Hi Andreia,
I'm with you - animals and mysteries are the perfect combo!! :)
My name is Jordyn, but I go by Kay Oliver (my author pseudonym). I was born and raised in Oregon, currently residing in Utah and hoping to move to Massachusetts in the future. I love reading horror, thriller, suspense, mystery which is also what I write. I've got a crappy day job, two shelter animals and the world's best husband.
Welcome to the group Jordyn! I was born and raised in MA but now reside in FL. Have to go back to MA in June to get the house ready to sell. My husband retires on April 1st. I'm staying in FL with our 2 rescue cats. Enjoy the group!

Hi, I just joined the group after being invited by Christine.. I'm an Aussie and mostly active in the Aussie groups. I read most genres but read a LOT of crime and suspense these days. Have too many favourite writers to name them all but I love the dark and gritty novels like those by Ian Rankin and Jo Nesbø. Lately I've been reading Peter May's Lewis series and Ann Cleeves's Shetland series - there's something about those dark brooding Scottish islands that's a perfect setting for thrillers.

You're welcome, Carolyn.
My name is Tim. I live in Rockford, Illinois. I was born and raised in Mason City, Iowa. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force back in 1982 and served for ten years, seven of those in Germany. I started reading thrillers back in the 80's when I was stationed in Germany and bought The Hunt for Red October after hearing several people talk about the book. I was hooked right away. After reading that I started reading books by Tom Clancy, Larry Bond and Dale Brown. Those are still some of my favorite authors. (Yes, I know that Tom Clancy is dead.) Last year I decided to check out Absolute Power. I got hooked on David Baldacci after reading it. I'm currently reading The Winner. I also discovered Martin Roy Hill last year when I received a review copy of his book The Last Refuge. I wrote a review of the book in my blog. He started following me on Google+ after my review. I also recently read a book by M.P. McDonald. I am planning on reading more of her books.Other than thrillers, I also like to read classics, mystery, science fiction and fantasy, also non-fiction. Thrillers are the main genre I like to read.
