Finished: 10/8/12
Rating:★★★★★
Heres my review:
4.75 This one was much better than the first. I read the first about a year ago and was a little put off by the heavy world building. In this one though it was just second nature. Kate really is funny and such a kick ass heroine. In this one a coven of witches has gone missing, Kate has taken ward of one their daughters, a strange bowman keeps popping up in Kate's life, and some serious crap is fixing to go down. Magic keeps flaring and odd creatures are out hunting Kate and the child Julie. Curran begins to show interest in Kate and as usual she manages to make him mad. A lot of my friends have said not to judge this series by the first book and I must agree!

Read: The Trouble with Cowboys by Denise Hunter
Found:....Blue - Annie and her sister got into it last night, and Sierra took off wiht some guy in a blue truck.(page 251)
also can claim
Found:....Open Space (field) (pg 64) Braveheart is getting along okay, I put your mare in the field with him awhile to see how he did.
Found:....Couple (On 47) Dylan made a face as his eyes swung toward Annie in time to see the couple part as the song ended.
Found:....Smoke (pg.132) The smoke seemed to be going up at least as he blew some more and a twig caught fire.
Review: I wanted to shake Annie so hard! It is clear Dylan is head over heels for her but she can't get over her misconceptions that all cowboys are trouble and refuse to let him get close to her. She tries so hard to put a man in between them that is comfortable to her but boring as day old soup. They so obviously are a mixed matched couple but Annie is so hard headed because of heartaches her family has had to deal with involving cowboys in the past. This always tends to gripe me about how folks stereotype others because of things somebody else has done.
Annie is a good person and awesome character that she tries very hard to do the right things but in doing so she comes off as hard and tight lipped especially to her younger sister which causes way more problems than it's worth. Thru the better first half of the story I felt she really needed a good roll in the hay to loosen her feathers a bit but she woulda probable done so with the stuffy banker, John whom I couldn't stand!
This story is about letting go of the reins and living a bit as well as understanding no matter how good your intentions you can't live another's life for them..all you can do is be there when they need you and let folks learn from their own mistakes.

Finished 10/11/12
Give it 4 stars
BLUE - One glance at the gorgeous blue eyed devil. Pg 19
GLITTER - The air began to shimmer, dappled glitter in a canvas of pearl, and a shape took form. Pg 345
CELEBRITY - A harpy and descendant of Lucifer himself. Pg 47
PUB - He was in a dingy pub in London. Pg 325
This was a reread for me, with not filling good I picked a book that I could read a little at a time an stiil know what's going on, an not have to reread pages to remember what's going on. I love this series an can't wait tell the new one comes out, an that's not tell next year, witch sucks.
This one is one if my favorites in the group. When a fallen Angel falls in love with a immortal warrior who is paired with a demon of wrath.

I have however, found, and will claim the two items in post Bag and Forrest"

review
I had high hopes for this book as I really enjoyed the first one

This book carries on where the last one left off, Unfortunately, I had a lot going on this week and just couldnt get into the story. My reading was very disjointed, so I just didnt enjoy the book as much as I should have. Gwen is a witch dating a vampire, Unfortunately, it has come to light that witches blood is a highly addictive drug to vampires. In retaliation the witches council declare war on the vampires. Gwen has sheltered herself from her real self, that being a witch, and so, knows very little. She is sent to Moon to learn about her magic and how to use it. Here the full truth comes out about "brew" and the vampire/witch Hate thing, and why the war is about to happen. Gwen is also faced with some hime truths about her vampire lover Adrian and is introduced to the rather sexy, naughty, Dorian Hade, the Angel of Death! Will Gwen and Adrian's relationship last all the threats of war and the advances of Dorian!?
For OPEN SPACES WEEK I will be reading

My review
Wow! what a fantastic first book in a series, I want to read the the next book straight away. The plot has so much further that it can go, this is more than just a setting of the scenne as some other 1st in series books tend to be. There is a clear plot and some very strong character's.
I love Delaney, faults and all and really like the way in which Sam's character changes due to falling in love. Micah is a very strong character who has an angry streak that I don't particularly like but it suits him and his situation.
The Plot - The Ekloge Warriors are specially gifted people (a minority of 10) who work for the Zerach, most of the people of Edenly are followers of Zerac but some chose not to pledge allegiance to anybody. The enemy are the Sarafites who are beginning to infiltrate the town again.
There are 3 love interest pairings and a couple of nice twists.
A war is inevitable to but when will it happen and will all the Ekloge Warriors be ready.

Team 6 has 15 but they have the advantage this week because most of them haven't claimed open space. It would be great if blood was called next week'

For Open spaces week. four and a half

I found:
OPEN SPACE On the cover and in the text, ...and being nearly blind meant a serious handicap on her part when trying to search a large open area, like a ranch.Page 218 of 370.
PEOPLE COUPLE: On the cover...And in the text “Isadora Titan, will you marry me?”Page 368 of 370
COLOURWHITE:The red is a saucy merlot with a yummy finish and the white is crisp and dry. Page144 of 370.
THINGS STAIRS:She pushed past him and started toward what she hoped were the stairs.PAGE 40 of 370
As usual a great fast read from Susan Mallery. With a must have Happy ever after. (almost) Again I wasnt as happy with this book, and the entire series as with SM's other series. A great story and by far the best in the series so far, but a bit of a rushed forced ending. Love the Titan woman. And off straight away to read the fourth and final in the series, just to find out how the story all gets pulled together.

Read: The Prophet by Amanda Stevens
Found:....Open Space - I didn't relish entering that abandoned graveyard alone. (page 169)
OR
Normally, I would have continued along the Battery to Murray Boulevard and then up to Rutledge Avenue past Colonial Lake Park to my house but this morning I cut through White Point Gardens. (pg 111)
also can claim
Found:....Non-Human (dog) (pg 43) We shook, and then she knelt and put out her hand to my dog.
Found:....Blood (pg 264) Halfway back to my car, I realized the hand that had clutched his arm was smeared with blood.
Found:....Purple (pg.111) Casting a longing glance at the happy couple, I stopped briefly to admire a bed of purple asters
Review: This is book three and this series has become one of my most favorite series! I love Amanda's writing style and okay so I am a bit excited because the series is set in South Carolina where I am from but oh my gosh it's hard to eat sleep or anything else until I am done reading a book from this series and The Prophet was no different than the first two! They have the creep factor I love with just enough suspense to keep you wondering and enough plot to hold onto your attention!
The Prophet is not quite as "spooky" as the first two books. It mainly takes us back to characters from The Restorer and ties up some things I'm not going to go into but oh my gawd if you have not started this series GO GET THEM!!! Spooky graveyards, unsolved murders, fresh graves, ghosty hauntings, and more! I will add though that one thing that did give me the heebie jeebies in the Prophet was when Amelia found a traced heart on her bathroom mirror which was a way a particular ghost/spirit would communicate with her sometimes but what was so creepy about it is that spirits were not supposed to be able to enter her home!

My Review:
Impossible to review without spoiling it. I'm sad the series is over but it ended on a good note and the final showdown was good. In this one all of our favorite characters from the series have a role. A lot of the things in previous books I can now see where always leading up to this book.

Review
This book has a really good plot concept, a girl who can't touch a living being without infecting it, a boy who can heal with his touch and a girl who can enchant people with her touch, there is love, war, manipulation, sex, teenagers, gore and much more.
I found the first few chapters did not have enough information they jumped too quickly over years of time where nothing was mentioned.
There were some issues with believability, ie, when people first started finding out about the special powers, why was nothing investigated, it seems that the adults in the town just turned a blind eye to it, this would not happen in real life.
You will love the character of Seth, hate Ashleigh and have mixed emotions about Jenny but overall will love her.
The ending is brutal with a surprise twist and I look forward to the next instalment in this trilogy.
I give this book 3.5/5 stars rounded up to 4.

I am happy your doing it! Saves me from having to go have to see what I need! Thank you for doing it!
Adele, I loved Jenny Pox but have not made it to book 2 yet! I also thought her condition was a good storyline! :)
