How many have done this before?
This makes my third round. I like it a lot. Can't wait to start.
Hi all! This is my first time so I may need a little help along the way. I am so excited to get to playing though!
Jennifer we'll all help it's a lot of fun. Anyone have any name ideas? Preference for a captain?

I'm smack out of ideas for a team name though. If nobody else wants to captain I can. If someone else would prefer to captain it's ok with me too. :)
Have to think on the name thing. As for captain I prefer not to be. I don't get much time on the computer an normally only get a little time after kids go to bed to check-in. Some days more then others.
I see Jenne has volunteered to be captain, I was going to suggest Dusty seeing shes doing her third round! Nothing personal Jenne!!This is my second round to.

Dont worry JJ, Everyone helps out! I had loads of help last round!! And Dawn is never far away for advice.

I was captain last round but this time I also have Words with GR Friends going on. I'm not sure how much time it's going to take yet. So if anyone wants to captain or co captain I'm good :) I like Hunters & Collectors Kathy. I'll send a pm to Adele she might not know that threads are up yet.
I'm here guys, good to meet you all, this is my first time so not captain please as I will need support whilst playing anyway.Hunters and Collectors sounds good and I am fine with Jenne being captain I am also doing Words with GR Friends and I am a team captain for crazy bingo on CCC
Just another option, Jenne if they talk you into captain and handeling Words with GR Friends becomes too much, maybe someone will step up and be willing to be captain after the game has started and sees how easy it is. The captain is really just a go to person and and extra set of eyes for me. There isn't much besides keeping a tally sheet, that could be updated once a week, not every day.
Yeah I'm not to concerned I captained last time and really had no problems. I just didn't want to step on any toes so to speak. I tend to be a little to "take charge" sometimes. We have a good mix of newbies and vets on this team too which should make things smoother :)

lol It was all that came to mind. I can't wait to get started ya'll! I am really excited. I have only ever played Bingo like this and I love it so I am sure once I get a feel for this I will be addicted as well!
It's easier to play than it sounds. The colors should be no problem and the people. This round (to me) seems harder to preplan the books since you can only do one from each category. Last round was a ton of fun.
I vote for Jenne as captain an I'll be co-captain in less everyone really wants me to be captain. Hunters an Collectors works for me too. An just so everyone knows Dawn is my big sis. I dont live near her so this is how we still do things together.
It's good y'all can do this together! It's hard when you don't live close to your siblings. I'm good with the name and being captain.

OK ladies I have been trying to get some books lined up so I can be getting ready and I have a question or 2 or maybe 3 lol
My main question is like say the called word is orange and I also find single male, wing, bar....Okay so I get credit for the last three but like what if bar is the called word for next week...Could I use the same book since I already found the word or how dose that work? I can't wrap my mind around it.
Also the only one so far I am really having a time with is celebrity. Can somebody toss out some book ideas for that one?
To win we all have to find all the items but we can only claim the item called an one from each other section each week.
JenniferJ no you can not use the book again. You can only claim the book for one week. It gets just a bit confusing when an item gets called you already claimed. You will need to find the item again in a new book, but you won't get a credit for it. The point of reading the item again is to be able to claim the other 3 extra items. So the max you could get that week would be 3 items instead of the 4. You are still helping your team. The odds are this will happen to almost every player at some point in the game.
oh ok sweets. I think I am catching on a bit better now! Thanks ladies for helping me along. I want to do my part and this one is bit new to me.
I got cuaght like that JJ, I had my last book all sorted and then Katya dropped the bomb! Had to change my book at the last minute!I hate waiting to see what item Dawn is going to call!

There were a couple that I think might have off hand refrences but it has been a while since I read them. The ones I am sure of are:
Soulless, has the Queen of England
The Hungar Games, Haymitch or Caesar Flickerman
Hopefully it is not a first shelf called.
Jennifer I'll look through your books and mine too. Celebrity had me the most concerned too. I was thinking of a historical fiction for it since there's usually someone that was famous somewhere in those books.
You could also read a biography or memoir. In my mind I know I have read tons of books with obscure reffrences to Donald Trump, or Tom Selick's mustache or MacGyver really random stuff like that. Almost any book with a millionare would probably have them hobnobbing with celebrities or there are a few out there about meeting a rock stars too. Now that itis crunch time I am drawing a blank.
oh ok so they dont actually have to be a character in the book they just can be mentioned.
They have to be a celebrity in the book as I understand it
I have just started going through my tbr trying to find books that will fit, I like options. So far I have made a list of at least 8 books for each colour that have the correct colour cover.Hopefully other items will also be in these books.
Dawn did say, in the sign up thread I think, that as long as they were famous relative to the story , That it would count, or something like that! Just had a quick look, but cant see it, gotta go to work so cam]nt look any more, sorry!

The items don't have to be prominent in the story. It can be as simple as saying some one reminded them of a specifc celebrity. Or just the word "celebrity" will work.

This is taking a lot of planning, I have looked at the next 20 books on my tbr list and written down what I think I will be able to find in them but it takes so long doing this, I could be reading some of the books I want to finish before the challenge starts. I will leave it for now and see if I can sort it out as we are going along.
