Took the quiz, I'm a Club!

I was surprised by the amount of books on my TBR that had one word titles. Looking forward to knocking them off the list.
Sarah wrote: "Girls certainly can be cruel, but there are a lot of things these boys do that I agree girls wouldn't. I think there would have been a total breakdown of order with girls too, but I think a lot would happen differently."Agreed. I think girls hold grudges far more than boys do. Everything would have broken down, but in a different way.
When I read this in high school (many years ago), the teacher kept pointing out the symbolism. A lot of it was clear so this spoiled the reading experience. As an adult, I understand why it was required reading. Unfortunately, the way it was taught did not lead to thoughtful thinking and discussion.
The tribe that would rather have fun, no responsibilities and let others take care of life's necessities exists today, hopefully we fare better than the boys did.
