Even Chloe Bella found a spot. The sunlight shines bright.
Sleepy and cozy.
Chair in place, bookcases in place, table needs to be cleared off.
He still (barely) fits on top of this basket! After much tugging and pushing and pulling, the organ is in the Green Room. What was supposed to be a 1" leeway ended up less than an eighth of an inch. I didn't measure wrong; my house is just that crooked.

After that, I worked in the entry room (the Green Room is on next weekend's agenda) and the library/study....

So today and tomorrow are the indoor yard sales up at church. I always have a goal in mind, profit-wise (it's not much; I don't expect to make hundreds of dollars at these things), and I am within $10 of my goal for the two days!! I'm very happy about that. I sold a lot of stuff, some of which had been at Burlington almost all last year, so that's even better.

Tomorrow's Day 2, and I'm going to fill up one of my bins with stuff tonight to fill in the holes on my table. What I don't keep to tak...

The Grace Creek Market

Last night, I was phenomenally weary--of the world, of everything--by the time I got home from work. So I ate a small supper, did a couple of things (like feed the kitty horde) and went upstairs to bed. I turned my light out by 8:30pm. In March of last year, I decided to stop typing my stories and novels into the computer and handwrite my first drafts. I had a slew of reasons for this, among them the attempt to limit my screen time (which has both worked and failed; more on that in a bit) and also to unplug myself from batteries and the like.

I've found I really enjoy handwriting my stories and novels. In fact, the experiment is still going strong, and I have no intent to stop it, even if I do get a new job where I'm in fron...

Owning up.

I wrote my first novel when I was thirteen. Ever since then, I've written almost every day on one work-in-progress or another. It's a rare day that I don't think about writing, or actually write a few words, a paragraph, a page, or a chapter.

And yet, for years--and I'm talking about real life, here, not my internet presence--unless you knew me very well, you would never know that I was a writer. Or that I had books published. Because I kept that part of my life not so hidden, but more under w...
