Ah.

Part of the reason why I've been out of sorts lately is because A Glint of Silver was not going well at all--I knew there was something wrong, but I kept plugging away at it, hoping the problem would appear. Well, it did--in a way.

See, I've been writing two stories, really. The prologue and the current story. I just didn't know it until now. Now that I've realized it, I can fix it, and continue on as I intended.

I'll be revising the prologue (and typing it in as I go; why not?) and continui...

Well, an update might not be a bad thing, hmm?

This has been a busy weekend; with the craft show yesterday and an auction today, I haven't been home much at all. However, I am now the proud owner of a giant warping mill--it needs some cleaning and conditioning, but I think it will work (once I figure out how to use it!) So that means I can warp my looms without direct warping them, which is a good thing. :)

Otherwise, I've been writing and reading and weaving and cleaning, all good things to do...

So yesterday, Dad and I traveled to the upper north tip of Ohio--Trumbull county--to pick up a loom I bought from ebay. It was a 13 hour trip...and some change. Ugh. But, however, I have a really neat loom that I now have to figure out how to carry upstairs without killing myself. (The back beam will be the hardest part, due to the fact that's it's hewn out of a tree trunk, and oak, at that. It probably weighs 150 lbs or so.)

This is a two harness rug loom. It needs a little work, but not too...

This is my chair. Early on, the kitties who live here with me discovered that they could snooze on the pillow behind my back--first Chloe Bella, then Gracie, and now, Birdie and even Oliver have all slept there. In fact, it's quite the golden seat (and sometimes fought over.)

Birdie has decided that this fabulous seat--the best seat in the house, according to some, cannot be full, even if there's already someone on the pillow. So she is now curled up against my back and against Gracie, who cl...

So the last Burlington (and my sister Emily's birthday) was yesterday. It was cold in the morning, but warmed up a bit by the afternoon. In fact, it ended up being a very lovely fall day.

I sold little stuff, but nothing large, and came home with a book on herbal tea infusions, three small wooden bowls, and a chair. Not too bad, and a nice end to the season.
