The year is 4545, humanity has now colonised the farthest points of their universe, which has revealed a shocking truth nobody was prepared to confront: They are alone! As the people of the Galactic Union of Planets struggle to find further purpose, infighting breaks out. Meanwhile, Captain Rex Stormont and his crew on the Inter Galactic Vessel Bonitas speed towards a distress call emanating from a research station. The ensuing investigation sets into motion a sequence of events that will forever change humanity’s understanding of their own existence.

Compassion - Book 1 Main Theme

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
So, believe it or not, it took me nearly 5 years to pluck up the courage to write the first book, and take the publishing plunge! This meant that I probably over did the research phase, always finding an excuse to read more rather than write those thoughts down (I’m sure many authors can understand this 😉)
The reward of this extended research phase was that I got to explore the concept of compassion quite deeply, and it then heavily influenced where I ended up taking the storyline. I was particularly interested in refugees, and the importance of compassion in and around supporting these large, dislocated groups; often fleeing from war.
So, compassion was my concept for book 1. What concepts do you feel as readers really worked well in books you’ve read? Scribes/Writers, what concepts do you feel heavily influenced your books?

Synergetic Inner-Core Sustainment

So, in Book 2 I create a new energy source, much more abundant and readily available than the previous preferred source which was anti-matter; harvested from black holes.
In the ‘Humanity’s Dawn’ universe our universe is situated on a giant sphere, where volcanic type eruptions from its surface are what give birth to a whole multitude of other universes, including our own. This sphere is known as ‘The Cradle’. In effect, the expelled materials are matter, the building blocks of all universes (the waste product of the Cradle).
So Synergetic Inner Core Sustainment (SICS) could very much be thought of as dark energy. We currently think this makes up about 68% of or universe, yet don’t really have any idea what it is, or where it is (perfect for Sci-Fi right 😉). With the arrival of SICS, a technology introduced by the Nederig, humanity are able to achieve feats of efficiency far in access of what they could previously; pathing the way for the dimensional technologies I mentioned 2 weeks ago.
What do you think? I call it SICS in my book, but do you think we will we be able to one-day harness dark energy?

𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 21

Born in 4500 to a Culturalist father and mother who were a Hindu Pujari and Pandit (Priests) respectively on their home world of Faraday.
Early on he was influenced by the Technologist majority presence on his home world, where he instantly became interested in sciences.
He was accepted into the prestigious Madeline Adamos Science Academy on the planet Faraday at the age of 13 (4513). He graduated top of his class in ‘Space Mechanics’ at the age of 18 (4518) and joined the IGDF though its engineering apprenticeship scheme.
He then went on to achieve his PHD in ‘Temporal Mechanics’ at the IGDF Jing Naoto Engineering Institute at the age of 22 (4522), joining the scientific exploration vessel, the IGV Hawking.
He, along with Steve, Marcus, Anthony & Beta765, were awarded the Galactic Distinguished Scientific Fields Medal in 4547 for their work on the Footprint, and their contributions towards the Sky Anchor.
He joined the Bonitas from build (4542) and served as her Chief Engineer until 4548, before taking up a position on the Alien Technology Military Application board at IGDF HQ, where he served from 4548-4557.
Promoted to Commander in 4557 he missed serving onboard a vessel and jumped at the offer to serve under Kira again on the IGV Soloveiko before his soon due retirement from the IGDF.

Her father owns a large Eskolite extraction facility in the Varsinais-Suomi mining region, which is used to make Chromia Oxides, a key composite of Aerogels. These are lighter than helium and excellent insulators, making them ideal materials for Plasma containment and stabilisation technologies.
Moving away from her home planet to study Philosophy at the age of 15 (4512), after winning a Culturalist scholarship, at the John Locke institute she finished her studies in 4516 (aged 19). Returning to her home planet she went to work in the family business, quickly learning the skills to survive in the cutthroat world of Galactic trade.
She then joined the Galactic Supply Fleet (GSF) as a navigator at the age of 29 (4526), within which she utilised her time well to acquire a master’s degree in classics and ancient strategies in 4528 (aged 31). In 4533 (Aged 36) she made a sideways transfer from the GSF to the IGDF as a Warfare Officer.
She Joined the Bonitas Class Combat Development Team in 4542 (Aged 45), before taking up the position of Tactical Officer onboard IGV Bonitas in 4544 (Aged 47). She met Steve Baker in 4542, who was part of the Bonitas Class Research Capability Division.
She served on the Bonitas from 4542-4550 before transferring to the Tactical design team for the new trans-dimensional destroyer in 4550. She continued to work there until she was promoted to Commander in 4557, taking up the position of XO onboard the IGV Soloveiko under Kira’s command.

Interstellar Seperation

One of the things I play with in the Humanity’s Dawn timeline is the effect interstellar separation has on humanity when they are separated by great distances.
In my timeline, in 2610, the Alcubierre anti-matter drive is invented. This enables humanity to travel at 5000 times the speed of light and opens up the Milky Way galaxy for exploration, with it now being possible to transit it within 20 years. When near instantaneous travel, which I term as Time Dilation Travel (TDT) in the book is then invented in 3434, it all comes to a head in 3540 when the Identity Wars begin.
In short, despite humanity’s greatest efforts. With people spreading out across the cosmos they become quite isolated and indifferent from one another. Suddenly the idea of centralised government is no longer appealing to everyone. With different groups having different needs and ideas, humanity becomes fractured!
What do you think? We’ve seen this happen in the America’s; is this an inevitable consequence of expansion and exploration? Is it a good thing or not?

One of the things I play with in the Humanity’s Dawn timeline is the effect interstellar separation has on humanity when they are separated by great distances.
In my timeline, in 2610, the Alcubierre anti-matter drive is invented. This enables humanity to travel at 5000 times the speed of light and opens up the Milky Way galaxy for exploration, with it now being possible to transit it within 20 years. When near instantaneous travel, which I term as Time Dilation Travel (TDT) in the book is then invented in 3434, it all comes to a head in 3540 when the Identity Wars begin.
In short, despite humanity’s greatest efforts. With people spreading out across the cosmos they become quite isolated and indifferent from one another. Suddenly the idea of centralised government is no longer appealing to everyone. With different groups having different needs and ideas, humanity becomes fractured!
