Concept: Teleportation
𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬’𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗪𝗡: 𝗔 𝗦𝗬𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 (𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝟮 𝗢𝗙 𝟯)

With the arrival of the Nederig in our universe, and their advanced technological status, teleportation is one of the concepts I introduce into ‘A Symmetry of Sentience’.
Teleportation is termed as the fictional transfer of matter or energy from one place to another and was first raised as a science fiction concept by Fred T. Jane in his book ‘To Venus in five seconds’ in 1897.
The idea of physical transfer of complex systems, like a human being, is still very much out of our grasp, and I would envision that the transfer of less complex objects will be where we first hit any breakthrough (that’s if it is possible).
Believe it or not we have actually managed to carry out quantum teleportation, though this is very different from what is proposed above and in my book. Quantum teleportation doesn’t actually physically move anything, but rather makes a copy of the information of something and then transmits that to another point. As a result, the original source is destroyed, as all things are when we interfere in any quantum system. This is still at a very single particle stage, but I suppose everything has to start somewhere right?

Born in 4529 his family fled as refugees from the planet Braxis 5 in the outer galaxies following Raider occupation, moving to Xenophon, a mainly Culturalist planet.
His father was a planetary diplomat and his mother was an artist and they led a simple life, getting by how they could.
Hafi was bullied as a child and learnt to defend himself, something that would see him develop a lifelong love for martial arts.
Inspired by stories of Rex and Kira, and the IGDF, he graduated from the IGDF basic training centre as a Galactic Trooper in 4547, aged 18.
He then joined the IGV Mercia and served onboard until 4553
He was specially selected for the covert ops division in 4553, based upon his exceptional hand to hand combat abilities, serving as part of this unit until 4557, and acquiring a commission along the way as an Officer.
He then took up the post of Security Officer upon promotion to lieutenant onboard the IGV Soloveiko in 4558.

The countdown for Book 2 continues with discussions on concepts within, advertising and character introductions throughout the week. I have a couple of new quick videos for my advertising this week, as my son has shown me how to use CapCut templates on TikTok (watch out 😉). Only 29 days to go until full release!

Meet The Characters!

𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 – 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐈
Born in the Bastion 4 system of the NGC2997 galaxy on the planet Faraday in 4410 to a technologist family he quickly developed a passion for science and the unknown.
His family are good friends with the family of Lt Cdr Hidri Samarata, they were attendants at his parents’ temple of worship.
He won a scholarship to the Madeline Adamos Academy at the age of 18 (4428) where he studied Quantum Fields, moving onto to PHD in black hole singularities and completing his studies in 4434.
He was awarded the position of Research fellow in 4437 (youngest ever) due to his pioneering work on black hole communications and structure whilst working for the Galactic Research Division (GRD).
He has worked with the black hole team in the GRD from 4437-4446 and led the GRD science mission to build the Sky Anchor.
He, along with Steve, Hidri, Anthony & Beta765, were awarded the Galactic Distinguished Scientific Fields Medal in 4547 for their work on the Footprint, and their contributions towards the Sky Anchor.
In 4546, following the Nederig arrival he was appointed Director of the GRD.

Politics vs Science
𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘’𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐖𝐍: 𝐀 𝐒𝐘𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 (𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝟐 𝐎𝐅 𝟑)
𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓: 𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐒 & 𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐈𝐗!
This is something I really enjoyed as a concept in book 1, and is something, as an engineer, that I am passionately against! I make reference to the fact political intervention in matters of science are banned at the end of the 21st century, as it comes to a point where science has literally become a service of political ambition, rather than the objective and rigorous process is it meant to be!
Science, in my view, must operate completely independently from politics if it is to remain objective and a search for the truth; completely unincumbered by external variables!
Please try and keep this objective 😊 Do you feel science suffers when external influences are brought to bear on the results it is expected to deliver?

Artificial Intelligence

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓: 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄
In my ‘Humanity’s Dawn’ universe Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that humanity have largely chosen to limit. Although my timeline is placed in the distant future I like to often focus and apply modern day thinking and though processes to my writing in order to engage with my readership. I work very centrally with the idea that work provides purpose to humanity, enabling them to define themselves in ways that work currently does to us all.
In book 1, I make reference to the fact that in the 22nd century humanity came to a junction where it was automating itself, through the use of AI, out of the workplace. With the arrival of the Nederig in our universe the leaders of the Galactic Union of Planet’s (GUP) are discussing how the far advanced technology that this alien race have to offer could pose a threat to the balance of humanity if not introduced cautiously.
Although in Book 2 these AI laws are relaxed and embraced with the introduction of the Quantum Resonance Battle Sphere (QRBS) technology, it still ensures that sufficient control measures are in place; still advocating decision making processes to the human ‘Wayfinder’ (Pilot) and Nederig ‘Director’ (Tactical Officer).
So, what are your thoughts? Will AI feature in our not to distant future be limited or encouraged to make decisions on our behalf?

Born into the ‘Great Tear’ in 2219 BCE, he became a Nederig politician at the age of 3,500 (1281 ACE).
He was 1,765 when the Einheri visited the Nederig universe in 454 BCE and became minister for the extra-terrestrial search department at the age of 4550 (2331 ACE).
He then became the leader of the Nederig at the age of 6,200 (3981 ACE), eventually leading the Nederig to safety in 4546 in the ‘Great Exodus’ from their failing universe.
From there he led the Nederig in its ‘Great Integration’ with Humanity, joining his people to the GUP in 4547, and becoming the leader of the ‘Culturalist’ faction, where he and Rex Stormont drafted and created the ‘Coexistence Proclamation’.
As the Nederig began to settle and establish themselves on worlds habitable to his people in 4548, he refused the offer of the M87 galaxy (mainly red dwarf stars, ideal for their existence). He said that such a ghettoization would be breaking his word to Rex and Humanity; they were here to integrate.
