In need of a good cry?
Tears do not just signify sorrow and sadness. They, too, can represent joy, love and gratitude, just as they did for a woman who "stood behind [Jesus] at his feet weeping, [and] began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them" (Luke 7:38). So, the next time your face starts to gets a little damp, do not be embarrassed, because there is no shame in shedding a tear. #ItsOkayToCry

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Many reach out to the Lord and ask the question "How long, LORD, how long?" (Psalm 6:3), especially when they become desperate, impatient, frustrated, "weak with sorrow" (6:7) or "worn out from [their] groaning" (6:6). Fortunately, for us, He hears our pleas and answers them, but when and as he sees fit, not just when we want or need him to. As you wait for an answer, consider turning to Him, not just in bad times but good times too. #BePrayerful & #Patient

What are you willing to do to be "perfect" or let go of to be "perfect"?
If interested, you and I have the chance to "be perfect...as [our] Heavenly Father is perfect" (Matthew 5:48). It is when we decide to open our heart and let go of whatever it is that we are trying to control so that we can become whole, mature and complete--perfect (see 5:21). It is my hope that you are able to open your heart and let go of what is holding you back so that you can experience such perfection. #PerfectionismAtItsBest

Who can you trust?
Just as it was in the days of Jeremiah, the world continues to be filled with two very distinct kinds of trust. There are those who "[draw] strength from mere flesh and whose [hearts] turn away from the LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5); and there are those who "[trust] in the LORD, whose confidence is in him" (17:7). "They [are]...like a tree planted by the water that...does not fear when heat comes; [because] its leaves are always green" (17:7-8). As you consider your sources of trust, know that the trustworthy ones are those who will always be honest with you, have your back and will be by your side forever. #PeaceOfMind

How long are you willing to hold on to a grudge?
Holding on to a grudge can take us to a point that could potentially ruin or change our lives forever, just as it did for Cain and Abel (see Genesis 4:4-5, 8) and Esau and Jacob (see 27:14). However we feel we were wronged, we are instructed to forgive and reconcile and "not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among [our] people, but love [our] neighbors as [ourselves]" (Leviticus 19:18). When we do so, we are able to move forward with our lives and live in peace (see Romans 12:18-21). #Overcome #LetItGo & #RiseAbove

What makes you happy?
There are those who might think that having money, importance, influence, success and fun brings them happiness. A man of such means, Ecclesiastes, provides a very enlightening perspective on having such things and how much happiness they brought to his life. He said that having riches led to wanting more (see 5:10-11); pleasure gave very little (see 2:1-2); and success, along with ability, happened by chance (see 9:11). What Ecclesiastes realized was that his true happiness came when he did everything with Him (see 2:25, 3:12-13); and with this he "[knows] that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live" (3:12). So, if it is happiness you seek, might you consider putting your faith and trust in Him. He will lead you to a life of happiness, just as he did for Ecclesiastes. #FindYourHappiness & #BeHappy

What is love?
When someone is willing to sacrifice their own (see 1 John 4:10), give of themselves (see 4:13, 15) and is always reliable (see 4:16) and never judges (see 4:17), we know love, which is Him, and rely on this love that he has for us (see 4:16). Such love, also allows us to be able to share it with others; and it is my hope that you are able to do the same. #GodIsLove

How can our wounds be fixed?
Our lives are like clay, with God; and with time and life, we may become scarred, marred or broken; but with His skillful nature, he is able to take his creations and masterfully "form [them] into another pot" (Jeremiah 18:4). He doesn't just throw us away; but sees us as worthy and salvageable, and wants to shape us in to something that seems best to him (see 18:4). If in need of repair, you might consider reaching out to "The Potter". #Rescued #Reshaped & #Repurposed

What will it take for you to be forgiven?
As of late, I have been writing about sin, our sins, by acknowledging and understanding that we are all sinners; and in order to be forgiven of our sins, Peter says that it will take repentance and being baptized, by "everyone of [us], in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of [our] sins" (Acts 2:38). When we do so, He will "[work] for the good of those who love him" (Romans 8:28). #TrueLove & #Grace

How long can you hide from your sins?
No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to hide from our sins. Our sins can never be hidden, because He sees them all. For instance, take Adam and Eve. After doing something they shouldn't have, they tried to hide; and even after they sinned, God still asked them both "Where are you?" (Genesis 3:9). As for us, God's response did not come in the form of a question, but through sacrifice, because of our sinful nature (see Romans 5:8). No matter the sins committed, He continues to pursue us all because of his undying love for us. Now that you know, you don't have to hide anymore; and I pray that you learn from and take accountability for your sins. #NeverHidden & #AlwaysSeen
