Who can you trust?
Just as it was in the days of Jeremiah, the world continues to be filled with two very distinct kinds of trust. There are those who "[draw] strength from mere flesh and whose [hearts] turn away from the LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5); and there are those who "[trust] in the LORD, whose confidence is in him" (17:7). "They [are]...like a tree planted by the water that...does not fear when heat comes; [because] its leaves are always green" (17:7-8). As you consider your sources of trust, know that the trustworthy ones are those who will always be honest with you, have your back and will be by your side forever. #PeaceOfMind

Daily Meditations of A Nurse Warrior
How do you view your life, in light of living and dying?
Knowing, but not knowing when, each day brings us closer to our mortal end. As disparaging as this may seem (see Psalm 88:3), there is still something very reassuring and comforting about death. Those who are not afraid of dying or facing death see life's true meaning, ever so clearly, because of Him. For His "death has been swallowed up in victory" (1 Corinthians 15:54); thereby revealing and providing "living water" (John 4:10), life, to those who believe. Instead, your death will be the beginning, not the end, of your life. Might you find comfort in knowing this now and when that time arrives. #PeaceOfMind
