What will it take for people, this world, to come together?
Challenges, challenges and more challenges. They will never go away; but they can also be considered opportunities as well. Helping us to see the opportunities for togetherness is our Lord. The road to togetherness began in Antioch, where God's word was "only [shared] among Jews" (Acts 11:19), which was not what God had envisioned. God had bigger plans. Soon after, God's word was spread to the gentiles, by others, "telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus," which then caused "a great number of people believe[ing] and turn[ing] to the Lord" (11:20-21). Even with challenges, the opportunities are endless with Him, especially when it comes to bringing people together. #togetherness #aworthychallenge

How are you able to connect with others?
Over the last few years, we have had to learn how to connect with others in ways that we are not used to. Even with the limited contact, we can still find ways to connect with others. For instance, those who are spiritually connected have been able to remain connected, with others, because of their faith without His physical presence and knowing that He is always present with them in spirit (see Colossians 2:5). So, if not a believer, might you consider that you have more options than you know in order to connect with others. #AlwaysConnected

How accurate is your compass?
As we navigate through life, our compass can have a tendency to run off course in to uncharted territories. When this happens, fortunately, available to us is another compass, the Bible. For those of us who choose to follow Him, we are told in Psalm that His word is "a lamp", aka Scripture, for our feet and a light on our path (119:105). So, if you need help with your compass, consider asking Him to guide you through life's journey. #Reliable & #AlwaysAvailable

How can you get over your fears, along with your dependencies and insecurities?
Not but a few days away, we will, once again, celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Savior. With this, we are reminded, by the angels, who appeared to the shepherds, to "not be afraid...[for] a Savior has been born to you" (Luke 2:10-11). With this gift, Jesus, we need not fear, because "God [is] with us" (Matthew 1:23). #FearNot

How well do you remember to follow through with your commitments?
There are a great deal of individuals who do a lot more talking than doing. As we consider the old adage "actions speak louder than words", we should also consider someone who is true to their words as well as their actions. Such a person who epitomizes this old adage is God himself. For example, He remembered Noah by sending a wind over the earth so the waters would recede (see Genesis 8:1) as well as Rachel by enabling her to conceive and give birth to a son (see 30:22-23). Such actions are forever remembered. So, the next time you consider saying that you will do something, make sure you remember to fulfill your promise. #DontMakePromisesThatYouCannotKeep

What kind of "fight" do you have?
Life puts many obstacles in our paths, both intentional and unintentional; and our want and desire is determined by how much we are willing to overcome these obstacles and fight for something that means something to us, regardless of the outcome. So, whenever you have done everything within your power and know that you have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith (see 2 Timothy 4:7), then you can, in the end, "receive his praise" (1 Corinthians 4:5). #FightHard & #LetTheChipsFallWhereTheyMay

What does it feel like to be broken?
To be broken is to feel as if everything in your very being has been ripped from you and shattered in to a million pieces, along with emotions that you can not begin to comprehend or understand because of your vulnerable and lonely state.
Such a person who can relate is David. David identifies his brokenness through pottery. After facing danger, enemies and despair, he said "I am forgotten as though I were dead; I have become like broken pottery" (Psalm 31:12). Fortunately, for David, ourselves included, there is one person who can help with our brokenness. We have the ability to cry out to Him, just as David did, and ask Him to let his face shine on us and save us through His unfailing love (see 31:16). #PutThePiecesBackTogether & #BecomeWholeAgain

Opinions, expectations and biases of others, especially without even knowing anything, is rampant among many. Why?...possibly because of their own insecurities, unresolved issues or inability to cope with life's circumstances. So, when such ugliness surfaces, no opinion, expectation or bias from any one matters; and, if a believer, "you are...a child of God through faith" (Galatians 3:26), "equally valued", "intimately connected" and "intentionally designed" (see 3:26-29). #NoMoreDoubts

What is your purpose?
Everything, in this world, was created for a purpose. He made no mistakes, especially when he created us. When He decided to create you and millions of others, He did so that we would come together for the greater good of mankind. Created equal, but also with flaws, Paul and 1 Corinthians says that we need each other to function because "the eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" (12:21). So, when we come together with our spiritual gifts (see 12:7-11, 18), we can accomplish much. How's that for purpose? #APurposefulLife

How will you respond?
Life puts us in situations, directly or indirectly, that can leave us emotionally charged. When they do, we are encouraged to pray "on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests" (Ephesians 6:18) so that we can talk through them with Him and remain calm, strong, courageous and sensitive to the matter; and when we do, even as hard as it can be, pray for those who hurt us. #Pause #Pray & #PraySomeMore
