How does trying to be perfect skew your self-worth?
You will never be perfect, no matter how hard you try; and that is okay. Who and what you are is what will be; and the sooner you come to grips with it the sooner you will be able to see your other wonderful qualities that have been overshadowed by trying to be perfect. If you need some help getting there, there is one person who can give you the confidence and audacity that you need (see 1 John 2:28), because He has already accepted and loves you for who you truly are, as you should too. #YouAreWorthy

Consider the following questions.
How diverse are you? How do you handle diversity? &
What can diversity bring to your life and to all people?
Despite differences, unity is still possible; and when we believe our differences do not matter, we know that we can cuss and discuss anything among any and all individuals. Reminding us of such possibilities is Psalm. Psalm says "how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" (133:1). Therefore, might you consider allowing yourself to experience life's diversity; because when we all share a common bond, Him, we can unite and accomplish much. #FindingCommonGround #DiversityStrengthensandLengthens

What does the church mean to you?
The church has multiple meanings, to many. With this, Hebrews provides another insightful meaning of the church. Going to church is not just to hear God's word or hope to help solve our problems, but it is also a place where people come and "[meet] together" (10:25), "encouraging one another" (10:25) and "[spurring] one another on toward love and good deeds" (10:24). With this added meaning, might you consider getting to know your fellow parishioners. #ChurchFamily

How light or dark is your life?
Much darkness looms in our world and lives if we let it. Violence, greed, hate and arrogance, amongst many other things, can create such an atmosphere that causes hopelessness and despair. Despite the world's darkness, there is still light, hope, to be had. Isaiah, too, experienced similar circumstances (see 8:22). Fortunately, for us both, The Lord has given us a light, His son, Jesus, so that we do not have to walk in the darkness anymore (see 9:2). #LiveBrightly

How do you deal with opposition?
There are those who flourish in the face of opposition and others who do not. Those that do and have, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, have one thing in common, they remain faithful to Him; and whether rescued or not, they still "will not serve [other] gods or worship the image of gold" set up before them (Daniel 3:18). I challenge you to consider your faith, because He knows what we need when we need it and is and always will be present and faithful to us in all things. #bettertogether

Believe it or not, laughter can be found in the face of our troubles. Reminding us to do so, and no stranger to trouble, is Job. Job says that "man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward" (5:7); but even in the midst of our troubles, we can still find strength to laugh in the face of them (see 5:22). So, the next time life gets you down, consider taking a moment to laugh. #alittlecomicrelief

Where do you seek salvation?
When the conversation is about God, much opposition and resistance almost always exists, just like it was in the days of Peter (see Acts 4:9). But, if we are really honest with ourselves, the only place that we are able to find salvation is in Him (see 4:12), the One who died, rose and has forgiven us all (see 4:10). So, for those who still oppose and resist, I hope that you reconsider, especially when such a conversation benefits and improves your life. #stopresisting & #starttalking

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
What is a "mighty warrior"?
Life puts us in circumstances that opens us up to our purpose. For me, solidifying my purpose came on March 23, 2018, when I was in the fight for my life. Then, and to this day, still, I am not just a mighty warrior but A Nurse Warrior. As you consider your circumstances and purpose, just as I had to and still do, I want to share with you what it is to be a mighty warrior.
A warrior:
W: witnesses, and receives and uses wisdom;
A: receives strength, and selflessly sacrifices for the greater good;
R: is faithful, and forgives;
R: is prayerful, and receives as well as gives protection;
I: receives and gives guidance;
O: is courageous, hopeful and always loves; &
R: respects, and gives all glory to God.
When asked to step up and become a "mighty warrior," know that "the Lord is with you" (Judges 6:12). #AMightyNurseWarrior

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Today is a day of giving thanks and counting our blessings; but it is not just today that we should be doing so. Each day that we receive should be a blessing and warrant our gratitude. Paul reminds us that we should be "overflowing with thankfulness" (Colossians 2:7). So, as you celebrate today, consider giving thanks, every day, and in everything you do and have, and most importantly, to Him, because everything good in life comes from God (see James 1:17). #alwaysbethankful & #grateful

The Lord asks very little and gives us a whole lot; and when we are asked to "wait in silence for [Him] alone" (Psalm 62:1 & 62:5 NASB), how will you answer? Answering His request, like it or not, is the right thing to do, especially when He has given us so much; and when we honor His request, our calling, even though it is "not [our] will, but [His] to be done" (Luke 22:42), it will be done because it is our "desire to do [His] will" (40:8). With those who desire to honor His request, our souls will find rest in Him because of our faith and hope that comes from him (see 62:5). #honoringHiswill #withasubmissiveheart
