How patient are you?

Being patient can be challenging, but worthy to possess. As things, sometimes, do not happen in the manner with which we want them to, we have a tendency to get agitated, irritated...impatient. It is when we rely on our faith and trust in Him that he will be gracious to us (see Isaiah 30:18). "Blessed are all who wait for Him!" (30:18). #WorthTheWait

What does it take to be a true leader?

There are many kinds of leaders; but when such a leader creates and instills fear and weakness among its followers, they quickly begin to lose favor, support, faith and hope in them, just like Jesus' messengers did towards Jesus, especially when Caesar ruled. "Immaturity and infighting", (see 1 Corinthians 1:11-12; 3:1-3), among the messengers, resulted from the tyrannical leadership. Instead, a true leader, like Christ, does not lead with fear and weakness, but with honesty, integrity, humility, hope, patience, kindness, calm, love, understanding, maturity, faithfulness and courage. Consider such leadership qualities. #ATrueLeader

How can you help others in need?

We all have needs; but we are reminded that "there will always be poor people in the land" (Deuteronomy 15:11). Therefore, we are "command[ed]...to be openhearted and freely lend [to the poor] whatever they need" (15:11). So, if you have a chance to make a difference in the lives of those in need, consider doing so. #BeTheDifference & #SpreadSomeHopeAndCheer

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

There are moments when we need to be rescued, especially when we are trying to make a difference and our efforts are being ignored and going nowhere. Besides ourselves, rescue efforts were also needed for David. Being trapped by his enemies, God "reached down from on high and took hold of [David]" and "drew [him] out of deep waters" (2 Samuel 22:17), because his foes were too strong for him (see 22:18). So, when the waters get too deep, just like they did for David, He will be there to rescue you too. #OurSOS

Who doesn't enjoy celebrating?

Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, Christmas, and much more, are all a cause for celebration. One celebration that will top them all is when there will be a "great multitude that no one [can] count from every nation, tribe, people and language" (Revelation 7:9). Those that will be there will celebrate by praising, giving glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power and strength to the Lord forever (see 7:12). Might you be among the "great multitude" partaking in such a joyous celebration? #RSVP & #DontMissIt

How can disagreements be settled?

Disagreements happen all of the time; and unfortunately, many of them, more so the senseless ones, can lead and have led to life changing outcomes. What is even more senseless is that disagreements have the ability to be remedied but are not. Ephesians urges us to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace; [because] there is [only] one body and one Spirit" (4:3-4). So, the next time a disagreement breaks out, with whomever, consider Him, along with the potential consequences, before you say or do anything that you will regret or can not take back. #LearnToSettleYourDifferences & #KeepThePeace

We are surrounded by "signs"; and many of them, most likely for a reason, are placed right in front of us. One of those "signs" is from the Lord himself. Isaiah tells us that "The Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (7:14). This "sign", Immanuel, represents "God with us", and has been given to us all many times over. Might you consider acknowledging this particular sign. #Stop #Notice & #Embrace

What does it mean to give?

There are many ways to give; and when we decide to do so, it should be from the heart and not out of reluctance or compulsion but cheerfulness (see 2 Corinthians 9:7). Therefore, when we give cheerfully, our lives will be "enriched in every way" (9:11). #givegenerously & #beblessed

Who doesn't like a good story?

As I speak to you, every day, I am able to incorporate a story or experiences of either myself or others, especially those from the book of life, the Bible; and when I do, there are lessons, sometimes similar or repeated ones, to be learned. If you like stories, especially ones with with meaning and purpose, you will love this one. These stories never get old and you can learn something new every day. Furthermore, you can also "tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done" and 'they in turn [can] tell their children" (Psalm 78:4, 6).

How can we improve the generational gaps?

Instead of avoiding, shunning or despising the generational gaps, we need to find ways to work toward the greater good of all mankind. Known for disregarding other generations was Hezekiah. Instead of being concerned about his own children's future (see 2 Kings 20:16-18), he was only concerned about his own well being (see 20:1, 2-3), especially when he said "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?" (20:19). Therefore, I challenge you to consider embracing these gaps so that we may pave the way for our future generations. #OurFuture
