Who doesn't like to hear and share good news?

Good news is hard to come by, especially when we are constantly bombarded with it through the news and social media. Fortunately, there is always good news to be had; and such news comes from Paul. In Romans 1:1, "Paul...was set apart for the gospel of God," because he proclaimed that he was the bearer of God's good news, the gospel. Being able to tell the world about Jesus saving us from sin and death is good news, really good news. So, you might also consider sharing this good news, as Paul did, with others too. #newsworthy

When tested, how will you rise to the challenge?

Being tested can take us out of our comfort zone's and make us feel uncomfortable, even vulnerable; but it is through these tests that reveal the person we are and what we want out of life. Abraham, too, was tested, by God (see Genesis 22:1). Hopefully, you will learn from your tests, the truths revealed, and also learn to trust in the One who loves you dearly and will always provide. #whatareyoumadeof & #bethebestyou

What "unwritten" rules, if any, does your family have?

There are families that create certain rules, "unwritten" ones, which condition their children to think a certain way, thereby limiting their ability to allow them to freely feel and think about life and the things that affect them. Take love, for instance. Instead of only receiving conditional love, we can experience unconditional love by the Spirit and not be made to feel like slaves so that we live in fear (see Romans 8:15). With God, there are no "unwritten" rules; and there are no limitations or conditions attached to how we should feel, think, or talk. #fearnot & #freeyourself

Consider the following questions:

How giving are you? & In order to gain friends, how willing are you to part with your wealth?

We all have the ability to give; and it is a choice of whether we want to or not. There are some who are very stingy and misery; and there are those who are very giving and generous. As you consider your willingness to give, also consider what Jesus said to his followers in Luke 16:9. Jesus said to be shrewd and "use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings." #tobeprosperousorpoor

What gift do you have to offer?

There are many ways that you can serve; big or small, it matters not. What matters is that "each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms" (1 Peter 4:10). Whatever your gift, you are encouraged, by Peter, to "love each other deeply" (4:8-11) when you choose to share it with others. #shareyourgift & #dosoinlove

How do you get to know someone better?

It takes a great deal of time to get to know someone and what they are all about. The same goes with getting to know Him. We are not going to be able to know everything about Him right away. It will take time to get to know Him and what He is all about. If you really want to get to know Him and develop a meaningful relationship, you can take the time to read and learn "the very Scriptures that testify about [him]" (John 5:39). #worththetimeandeffort

Why do we have a tendency to point out others sins, rather than our own?

Whether you believe it or not, we are all sinners. We all have flaws; and we all make mistakes. It is when we can truly look at our own selves, through self-reflection and meditation, and not others, and then, if willing, "confess [our] transgressions to the LORD" (Psalm 32:5) and ask for the forgiveness of our sins. When we are able to do this, then, instead of pointing fingers, we can help others help themselves wash away their own sins. #dontbeahypocrite

What sacrifices are you willing to make?

There are those who know how to live without and those who do not. When something is not readily available, these days, very often, the reaction is not a pleasant one. If this is the biggest problem that you have, count yourself blessed. Instead, consider the real tragedies of those who have lost their jobs, gotten sick and still have yet to recover, or even died. Now, as you consider your needs, and maybe another's, might you ask the Holy Spirit to give you "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23), because He is all of them at all times. #gratitude & #thoughtfulconsideration

Be it socially, professionally, or domestically, what will it take to speak up for yourself or others who are being wrongfully treated?

There are many injustices in this world; and it takes a great deal of courage to stand up to them, and sometimes, break the silence. For over 17 years, I spoke up, only to be silenced aka ignored, by my own profession, a profession that I loved and still love; and to this very day, continue speak up for myself and others for a profession, still in need of change, because of the rampant incivility that it allows. As you consider yours or another's circumstance, know that "there is a time for everything...a time to be silent and a time to speak" (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 7). It is my hope that you will know what to do when the time comes; because it is never too late to stand up and do the right thing. #becourageous & #findtherighttime

How much trust do you put in to others?

Trusting someone takes time; and when a trust becomes established, and then broken, it becomes very difficult to believe in anything they say or do. Fortunately, there is one person who has never been untruthful to us. Long ago, Jesus made a promise to His followers. He told them that "when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide [them] into all the truth" (John 16:13). So, if you are tired of being told untruths by others, consider looking elsewhere and for someone, such as Him, who will always be truthful to you. #alwaysseekthetruth
