Living in fear can be paralyzing. It is when we choose to "seek his kingdom" (Luke 12:31) that these fears go away and our focus is redirected to the one who knows us well and takes care of our every need (see 12:24-30). #fearnot

What do you fear?

Even in our darkest and most difficult days, He is and walks with us. So, as you go through these days, remember to "fear no evil, for [he is] with [you]" (Psalm 23:4) so that you may "dwell in the house of the Lord forever" (23:6). #fearnot

How can you get over your fears, along with your dependencies and insecurities?

Not but a few days away, we will, once again, celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Savior. With this, we are reminded, by the angels, who appeared to the shepherds, to "not be afraid...[for] a Savior has been born to you" (Luke 2:10-11). With this gift, Jesus, we need not fear, because "God [is] with us" (Matthew 1:23). #FearNot

How do you face your fears?

If in danger, fear, a survival skill, kicks in to protect, alert and prepare you. But, if your fear is causing you to worry, panic or be anxious, then you might seek someone who can provide you with the confidence that you need to overcome it. May that someone you consider be the Him. For "when the Lord is with [you], [you] will not be afraid" (Psalm 118:6). #FearNot❤️

Why fear love?

If you fear love, you will never know what it is, "because fear has to do with punishment"; and "the one who fears is not made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). But, when you surrender your fears, you will know what love truly is, because "there is no fear in love" (4:18). For "perfect love drives out fear" (4:18). So, might you let someone who can show you how to love, because He "is love" (4:10). #FearNot

How do you manage fear?

Fear is dangerous and threatening and will take control of your life if you let it.

For the last seven years, I have let fear take control. After many years of assuming goodwill and trusting in people that I thought were trustworthy and were not, along with being left to die, I have been on guard waiting for the next punch or kick. And, while living like this, I have cheated myself and missed out on much. But, fortunately, at the same time, I have learned how to trust again and not fear anything, because "The Lord is with me" (Psalm 118:6) wherever I go and whatever I do. He is my daily "helper" (118:7), "strength", and "defense" (118:14).

So, if you, too, struggle with fear and need help removing it, might you consider getting to know a man who will help you to never "be afraid" (118:6) again. #FearNot
