Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
What is your gift?
Receiving a gift is very special; but even more so when it is given away. Such gifts come in many forms; and we all have at least one that we could give away. Once you find your gift, you are encouraged to "use whatever gift you have received to serve others" (1 Peter 4:10). So, as you learn what that gift may be, might you consider using that gift to honor Him and help others who could benefit from yours. #ShareIt

How strong are your beliefs?
We all have beliefs; and when our beliefs are strong, we should never have to apologize, hesitate or worry about what someone else will say or do when we share them. When we speak of our beliefs, we do so because we care about what we believe in, just as the man who speaks on our behalf and believes in us (see 2 Peter 3:9). I hope that you remain strong, resilient and steadfast in your beliefs, especially when it comes to Him, the one who has always and continues to believe in you. #ATrueBeliever & #Ambassador

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Where is your heart, when it comes to envy, trying to keep up or comparison?
If you truly want something, go get it; but if you want something that someone else has, might you reconsider your wants.
When you can't afford something, might you reconsider buying it until you can.
What you have is what you have. So, might you consider not being ashamed of what you have and continue to work to be able to improve on what you have, in time.
When we live without envy or trying to keep up or compare ourselves with others, we are able to "love one another deeply, from the heart" (Proverbs 1:22). If not, "envy rots the bones" (14:30). So, it is my hope that you live YOUR life to the fullest and not someone else's. #AlwaysBeYourself & #NoNeedToKeepUp

Good news, good news. Read all about it. Get your good news.
Not all news is bad. There is much more good news than bad. Unfortunately, we just hear more of the bad and are more in tune to hearing as well as expecting it. Even the Israelites heard and lived through a great deal of bad news. Fortunately, this was not God's intention. He intended to "bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives...[To] rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated" (Isaiah 61:1, 4). Even, today, God's news and intentions are still the same. Consider tuning out the bad and tune in to the good. #StayTunedIn

Who doesn't like to be included or fit in?
At one time, we were all considered "foreigners and strangers" (Ephesians 2:19), just as it can be and is with certain people or groups. Fortunately, because of Jesus, we "are no longer foreigners or strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household" (2:19). For those of us who are part of God's family, we, too, like societies Who's Who, are also provided the same, if not more, privileges and rights, and can approach Him with "freedom and confidence" (3:12). With Him, you will always fit in, with no strings attached. Consider becoming part of such a family. You will always be included and fit in well. #AlwaysIncluded & #NoStrings

Which door will you open?
There are many doors that you can open; but there are certain doors better left unopened. Unfortunately, there are those who can't help but to open such closed doors. King Solomon, too, also advises us to avoid these closed doors by telling us to "keep a path far from her, [and] do not go near the door of her house" (Proverbs 5:8). So, when you are tempted to open a door that could potentially hurt, harm or destroy you, remember what it might cost you. Some doors are better left unopened. #TemptedNot

How can actions speak?
Words can sometimes get in the way of what we are trying to say and can lead to a great deal of confusion. Instead, we can remove the confusion through our actions; because when we act, we are also speaking and saying much. Therefore, in order to seek "the good of many" (1 Corinthians 10:32-33), we should "follow the example of Christ" (11:1). So, when words get jumbled, consider seeking Him to help you do what you are trying to say and remove the confusion all together. #TakeAction

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Many like to challenge what should not be challenged; and one of those challenges is God's creation. Appreciating His work was King David. David thoughtfully asked "When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" (Psalm 8:3-4). How aware and humble was David of God. Therefore, I leave you with this thought and question. Life challenges us enough; so, why challenge someone who has done and continues to do so much for you and me? #ThoughtfulConsideration

With whom do you need to or should you reconcile with?
Arguments and disagreements can lead to broken relationships and, even worse, parting of ways. Take Paul and Barnabas, for instance, two very different people, brought together by The Spirit, for a purpose, split ways over a disagreement of another, Mark (see Acts 13:2-3 & 15:36-41); but with time, Paul forgave Mark (see Colossians 4:10; 2 Timothy 4:11; Philemon 1:24). So, if the opportunity to reconcile arises, consider "[welcoming] him," "if he comes to you" (Colossians 4:10). #MakeAmends

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
How many times have you said that "I can't" do this?
Most likely, too many to count; but there are many that are told that they can't; and when they hear this long enough, they start believing it. I am here to tell you that not one of us is here by accident. We are all here for a purpose, just like Moses was when he was chosen to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, with the help of Aaron (see Exodus 3:11, 4:1, 10-12 & 13-15). When we have God in our life and by our side, "we can", because He "will help you speak and will teach you what to say" (4:12). There is no such word as "I can't", rather "I can". #YesYouCan
