Ozeki's writing just draws you in and keeps you interested. Not a dull moment even during plot "lulls".

Whoah the main character's voice is so believable. It's written so well, it sounds autobiographical.

The story is a little too silly-ish, for lack of better wording.

But I can certainly see why people love this series. It's easy to get into, and a really fun take on monsters. I love the inn keeper idea.

I was really intimidated by the massive size of this book and I put off reading it for a long time. But it turns out it's actually a page Turner

Certainly a well written book with well crafted sentences... but the story is a bit yawnish.

Does this book stop with the endless battering of 5 syllable words?

Believe this book works better as a10 book series. There's so much historical info. So many stories that are interesting but glossed over. Perhaps even a graphic novel.

This book structure is weird. It's 5 minutes of narration for 25 minutes of exposition.

Really enjoying the Cern plot.

The other plot feel like one of the cheesy Star Trek episodes. I love Star Trek.
