I don't like this narrator. Just figured out i recognize her voice from This is How to Win a Time War.

Her voice is nice and consistent, but she's so far from being able to perform any voice.... So when she does it sounds cartoonish and ridiculous.

It's nice, but I don't understand why it's so highly recommended yet.

This narrator can't do a masculine voice.

This book needs a narrator that can pronounce, at the very least, half of the Islamic words.

Including, most of all, Ifrit. That word is spread so thoroughly in the book, that it's so jarring to hear the bad pronunciation time and again.

A farcical political "space force" is formed.

Is there a Trumpian parody in this story?

I love this story.

This narrator is amazing. I'm so impressed by they're character voices.

This book is for a young demographic. Considering dnf'ing it.

That dedication from the author... Got me tearing up

"i went here with Quikncfee and we sparred. I then went over there with Ouiouayaaii and we sparred with sparring swords."

It goes on like that for so so so long. DNF.

So we're just going to ignore all the fainting Germans? What was the point??

I just want this book to be done.

So far this is quite uninteresting.

This borrows heavily from the Twilight YA template.

The pacing of this story is really unusual. Over 4 hours into the audiobook but only 30 minutes have passed in the story.

"A small hunchbacked redemptress nun."

I audibly gasped at that line.

This book!

Got to the Liam part. Heart wrenching sad.

Jesus christ this book. I might read it again as soon as I'm done.

Not only did the writing and story suck me into the world right away, I just learned my ancestors come from County Cork this week. What a cool coincidence.

There's a story here. And a story that is compelling, and appeals to my nerdy cyberpunk tastes.

However, the writing style needs polish. A lot. Any attempt at writing suspense arrives DOA, since there's so much exposition. It's like Action Scene, cut in 10 minutes of exposition, Action scene resumes, a couple words of dialog, 10 minutes of exposition, then explain how the MC feels about that exposition, etc.

I can't take it. Nothing is happening in this book, and all the characters are morphing into the same character.

It's either sally-do-right from down south in the 1880's. Or Johnny-only-wants-to-be-good from the Appalachian mountains.

10 hours in, and nothing really happening. 10 hours is the length of most full audiobooks.

Close to DNF'ing.

Also. This book, so far, is a season of The Walking Dead, without zombies.

Is it me or are these characters very inconsistently written? I'm mostly enjoying it

Six chapters in and 99% exposition. If it doesn't change soon this will be a fast dnf.

Please tell me something interesting happens.

The stories are really fun, and performed brilliantly.

So relatable and so well written.

Although the descent into full on addiction to steroids during his first 12 week cycle... So dramatic and cringe worthy.
