What the hell is happening in this story?

It feels stagnant, and confusing who these people that come in and out are...?

I don't know who Carter represents.

Not enjoying the story. It's so old fashioned and boring. However, I'm almost at 40%, and it is written well...

I want so badly to DNR it, but feel the need to grudge through it, since it's not something I would normally read.

So there's an interesting connection to a Neill Schusterman book. I forget the name. Neill approaches the subject of new found schizophrenia from a clinical turned magical perspective. And Ozeki does the opposite.

So it's not magic, it's schizophrenia..?

The plot is fast moving, but I feel like I can't believe I'm only half done. Ozeki is a great story teller, though.

It's morphed a bit from magic mundane items to a serious mental issue like schizophrenia. Interested in where this book is going.

Is Sissy supposed to be like a 2nd main character in this book? She just shines through the rest of the charcaters.
