Honestly can’t get into 😳😭😭 I heard from so many people in comments just get though the first 100 pages it gets better...omg I’m still on page like 15 or something it’s an audiobook, but I have the physical copy too it’s just freakin heavy to hold lol be one thing if interested in the story, but dang I’m so mad/sad can’t get into it we LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bone Season by this same author!

Omg omg!!!!! I know why he sent her away to protect her, OMFG!!!!! Now we know there was even more to his love! I want to find someone who loves me like Tamlin does he literally forsaken his own court/people/land etc for his own true love awww!!!!! Though I hope she kicks butt on this 3 tasks glad she is stepping up & fighting for him & their love now too!!!!! :)

Eeeekkkssss!!!! Omg all the feels!!!! So vivid & rich yet gut wrenching! Love it!!!! These characters feel more real than fictional especially given Tamlin is of the supernatural kind!!! I just can feel their chemistry to each other as well!!!! Eeeeekkkkssss!!!!!! 🎉🤩😍

...(part 2 lol was too long to post in one box) Great writing style pulls you into the story right from the beginning!!! I can imagine being there with the character seeing what they see; which is a mark of a great author in my opinion they can tell, but more importantly show you this new world of theirs they crafted!!!! Already hate Nesta & hopes our main lady stands up to her conceited older sister!!!!

First impressions got a strong Katniss/Hunger games vibe with the hunting in the woods dead of winter poor starving family & our main character is the only one who provides for the family! Mother died instead of K’s dad, but just like her mother this characters dad is not lucid enough & has a crippled leg that prevents him from working much! With they said I still am enjoying this vivid story props to author...

I’m putting this one on the back burner & removing it from my “currently reading” list! Sadly I can not get into it not 10 pages in & I feel no connection especially since this had such promise with the aspects of a retelling of Romeo & Juliette! All is not lost though as it is not an automatic DNF just a “to read” at a much later date novel for me!!

February if not earlier will read/discuss with my new GR book club/buddy read group! I have it marked as "currently reading" since like forever, but have not even picked it up lol sad I know! Reality gets in the way, but now with this new group I have more drive to get back into my love of YA books instead of binge watching TV lol I blame the quarantine slumps on that fun, but mindless pastime activity!

I'm back to this novel...finally lol! I have recently joined a bookclub/buddy read group here on Goodreads.This is the perfect push to help me finish this freakin heavy zillion page novel lol! I love Samantha Shannon from her brilliant The Bone Season series. She is an auto buy author, but this book was/is quite dense lol! I tried reading it on the bus to work and could not get into it sadly until now! I'm excited!!

WOW!!!! What a powerful yet enthralling novel! Soooooo spot on with the political social economical aspect of the era!!!!! The backstory with the mills/mines/labour unions what an insight this author has done weaving these facts into what is a clean romance novel is simply brilliant!!!!!

Omg I love the witty banter!!! This is already proving to be a gem of a read!!!!! The cow eating a pie in the kitchen is hilarious aspect gotta have company lol

Very fun quick read! Do love the world the author has created! Great characters! Kinda sad it’s almost over, but excited too figure out how they save the world & realize they really are fated mates! That or it’s a cliffhanger (hate those, but whatevs) & have to read the sequel!

WTF....what just what?! This book definitely took a dark turn omg! No light n fluffy fun novel here anymore they should have a trigger warning on this book! Infant homicide....sickening...mental illness gut wrenching reality!!!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤯😳😢

Okay quick update...what’s with the flashbacks! Clearly he loved a girl named Lily & either she grew up & moved on or died because his love interest in now Ireland! Hate when they have these love triangles!

Omg!!!!!!! Eeekkksss this already has soooo much witty dialogue & believable characters!!!!! Omg chemistry of our main characters is off the charts & they haven’t even shared a kiss...brilliant writing style!!!!! Can’t wait to keep ready this fun treat!!!!

It’s a very easy read though it’s just not that captivating for me! I just want done like I get it high angst will they stay will they leave very much a soap opera drama piece even the secondary characters!!

This last one is Not my fav of the 3 novellas! It started off okay not great, but it is the lack of chemistry between the our leading characters! Everything is very rushed...I know this is a novella, but the previous two did not have this effect! I think the author was like let’s just get it done wayyyyy too much Insta sex scenes too especially for a regency era piece!

Awwww LOVED the second novella in this 3 part series the best so far!!!!!! Fabulous writing style so rich & can feel the chemistry of the characters love the fluidity of each scene ties in effortlessly!!!! I’m soooo glad I brought this kindle series!!!!!!

Wow....so I’m done already with story! More like a novella! Quick read obviously would like it to be longer as loved the chemistry from our main characters, but the secondary characters were lively too especially given it’s a novella that is saying something on the authors great writing ability! Touch of sizzle will be looking forward to the other 2 novellas in this series!!

Wow...dense verbiage! I think coming out of reading easy breezy 5 n dime romance novels that this novel is a head spinner of a tale already having to re read the prologue twice! I will with hold any spur of moment comments, but let’s just hope it’s not overly complicated/technically/Fancy-schmancy lingo and/or storyline!!

Reality comes crashing down just when I need to read more!!!! It has more risqué bedroom scenes/talk than authors I normally read in this era like Jane Austen & Georgette Heyer! Nevertheless a captivating storyline & great character development!!! Love the chemistry & witty dialogue between our leading characters!!!!

Brief pause to admit this book has brought be to tears! The anguish I feel is palpable between our leading characters! The fact this is startling accurate portrayal of the eras political & social economical climate grips me even more!!!!! It’s so sad yet so true!!!! I just hope it has a HEA unlike reality sometimes sadly proven otherwise!!!!

Just started this morning & love it already!!!! When to find time to read is the question, but reality/work/chores etc can wait an hour more so can enjoy this novel some more!!!!! :)

Awesome novel & great narration! Reality is the only downside to enjoying this book in one blissful setting!!!! Plus audiobooks are hard in the sense of finding uninterrupted time to listen, but still love this storyline & our main characters!!!!

Also love the fact this author is introducing/incorporating so many topics that are either absent from YA novels especially or really taking the time to have us as readers get to experience all aspects not just the standard binary notions!

Really glad I started this recommended novel!! The world building is great enough to get us feeling like we are right there with our character, but also not bogged down with too much surrounding detail to lose focus on the overall plot/character driven novel!

Why have I stopped reading this novel I was close to finishing it l! Oh right reality blahhh work/life/errends & it feels like so long ago since picked this up sadly! Hopefully will feel like finishing this novel one of these days! Especially since loved the TV show based on these novels!!!!!
