Lol simply put this book is physically HEAVY 🤦🏻‍♀️😣😳🤪😂 besides have soooo many other books on my TBR that have not been fully engaged with this story to power on & her sore, but very buff arms holding this epic tome!!!!!

Very slow progress on this novel! Don’t know why really maybe as it is an audiobook & not enthralled with the storyline or connected with the characters as much as wanted! It is in London...has intrigue...romance & adventure misunderstandings, but just seems like fluff that if was actually reading this would surely speed read/gloss over not completely invested into this world sadly!

Omg yessssssss!!!! Already loving how this story is captivating!!!!! Very promising start to this new ( to me) author as it came in my April monthly book subscription box!!!!

Glad I’m reading this novel! Our main heroine is full of spunk at times, but other aspects of this novel it feel hallow whereas others are great! though not sure if going to continue with this series since skimming/speed reading over parts so that tells me I’m not as invested in this story sadly!

OMG!!!! Once I read the synopsis of this novel sounds very familiar...Twilight anyone?! Lol than read some of the reviews on here & yep others pegged the similarities too!!!! Hopefully it will be a great book, but if anything a Twilight or Vampire Academy copycat is still great as I LOVE LOVE LOVE those novels!!!!!! 😂😍

Awww!!!! Now this is a perfect example of a love triangle story that is not cheesy or exploited trope used, but a brilliant way of expressing how one can have feelings for multiple people! Yet, the brilliant way the author weaved it in was flawless!!!! Can feel for each Dorian, Chaol & Celaena!! Great character description can feel how tangible the characters & story itself are this is a mark of a skilled writer!

Eeekkksss yessss!!!!!!!!! Omg love this novel!!!!!! Especially now with One of the best quotes ever just happened!!!! “...I can survive well enough on my own—if given proper reading material!” 🤩🤩🤩🤩🎉🎉🎉🎉😍😍😍😍📚

Already loving this story so much more engaging right from the start than the last book I read!!

Now we are getting somewhere & yet it’s almost the end of the novel! Why couldn’t the book start from here in my opinion is the only truly engaging part as I now actually want to read the story for the characters not just to get it done with as 400 so pages I had to push myself to finish & not give up on this story as it has so many great reviews there had to be something of noteworthy here right!

It’s more a determination to finish than anything at this point! The progress is so slow & yeah very descriptive, but what’s the point really?! Where is the action/drama/romance/even the hint of intrigue I thought was happening when found out Sarai’s father everyone else in this magical/mythical place! There has to be a point to all this leading up...its just taking too long! Lol I’m not a patient reader!

Okay so now a hint of intrigue is happening...thinking this might be where the 2 sides POV come together finally!! I like Sarai story more than Lazlo for sure more engaging & has at least some witty banter makes the characters a bit more fleshed out though still very slow moving overall storyline!

On second thought I’m having a difficult time getting into this novel! The progress is slow & not very engaging! I’m counting pages until the end of each chapter now—not a good sign I’m more looking forward to it being over than the actual story! I have no “skin in the game” can’t connect with Lazlo he is so boring! Only think we both like our stories & books, but idk the point yet of his travels!

It’s good so far! Kinda slow building, but excellent writing & descriptions! Granted I have been busy with work & free time is cut up with extra errands as needing to go to multiple stores just to find certain items! So that could be another reason why haven’t read as much or as fast as I normally prob would as this novel was very highly recommended!!!

Heard so many good things about this novel & seen more love than hate on this site with the reviews that I’m excited to bump this up on my TBR list with give this novel a try!!!!!

Granted lol they can’t stay hidden in their “love nest” forever I’m really glad they were able to get off the grid for a little bit & explore their love for each other! Props to the author for keeping the storyline engaging even when they are hiding out! I just wish she would appreciate her angel more as it has only been protecting her & they would of be literally dead without her supernatural support!!

Awww this is just the kind of book wanted to read right now...engaging & pure at the same time!! Absolutely love our main characters they just shared their first kiss eeekkksss!!!! All that built up chemistry definitely made the wait worth it!!!!! So tender though & very respectful made that moment even more meaningful!!!!

Love this storyline & the main characters are nicely done so far! Can feel the emotions coming from them & the nice slow burn of kindling romance that’s is building up between them!!!!!

This is not my typical kind of books 📖 I read, but one of my best friends recommended this so will give it a try!

Uhh more angst ridden & violent than my last novel! Both were if mystery & suspense, but this novel has more grit to it & realism I guess! Not sure what I make of it still!

This is MESSED UP! I know it’s a battle/military/assassin school, but seriously these ‘Agurs’ f’n messed up having to fight & kill your best friend as if they don’t have enough pain & misery living or something like that day after day with the evil heartless commandment now these Trails just too much! Obviously will finish the book almost done & see the outcome, but idk if will continue with this series!

Omg so there is something fishy going on & I can’t piece it all together yet, but just have an inkling! So either the author is very good & intentionally put little hints in to see if us readers would pick it up or if I am reading more into this than should lol both are possibilities!

Skimmed some of the scenery details while they were lost in the dessert, but good novel so far like our main duo! Though so glad Elias is not like his mother omg what a cruel person she is yikes!!!!

Great start to a promising read!

Poor Julian!!!!! Poor Scarlet!!!!! Having to watch the love of your life being brutally murdered in front of your eyes WTF THATS MESSED UP!!!!! Even if he was working per say for this Legend think Julian is still a good guy he was probably tricked or forced or something!!!! He truly cares for Scarlet I know it!!!!!

OMG so this “legend” is a psychotic nutcase!!!! He is twisted warped sense of humour & playing cat with mouse games!!!! Glad Julian is not him after all all romantic illusions of this mysterious guy are clearly gone! Messing with peoples heads especially impressionable young girls making them fall in love with him only to toss them away like garbage WTF!!!! Still love Julian though & Scarlet together!!!!

Awwww...”she imagined loving him would feel like falling in love with darkness, frightening and consuming yet utterly beautiful when the stars came out.” Omg in love with this sentence & with our main characters eeekkksss I really hope Julian & Scarlet get together! Either he is the mysterious Count or Legend or she choose him over them!!!

Lol here we go again with the over the top poetic license! “It tasted like light, bubbly on her tongue and sugary as it went down, making everything from the ends of her toes to the tips of her fingers tingle.” Really lol just like smelling the moon—tasting the light is just odd to grasp 😂🤪🤩
