Eeekkkssss!!!!! She escaped her cage!!!! Wow talk about resourcefulness!!!! Badass female go her!! Love that the author does not shy away from the nitty gritty! At first thought it was too much detail, but now see how much more it brings to the overall world building!!!!

Wow!!! So her mother is something else! Seriously messed up!!!! Selling her own daughter on the black market because she didn’t want to help cut off limbs from a LIVING human! Like omg! The author has set this up well though character wise already if having this strong effect on me!! So that’s something lol

Slow going, but okay! Maybe just not in right frame/mood for this one right now! Off to read one of my other books will eventually come back to this one!!

Heard so many good things about this novel! Can’t wait!!!!!!

Okay fast read lol that twist though wow had to stop, but thinking a HEA is still a possibility which is great!!! Lol onwards & upwards!!

So far it’s good ! Immediately captures your attention & draws me in with the characters!

OMG!!!! 🫠🔥🔥🔥🔥talk about a storyline!!!! Some of the most engaging characters I have read/listen to add to that it has such a dirty plot like it takes no prisoners! Ride or die! One either loves it or hates this simply based on the material discussed! I find it compelling nonetheless!! Talk about love & loyalty & found family!!!! Not to mention the overly graphic sex scenes lol

Whew! Got an extra day-really evening only, but still managed to finish this & I’m glad! Definitely sped up in action/suspense towards the end which was good!!

Had to give this book up to next reader in book club! Will finish it though eventually as it was FINALLY starting to pick up the pace!

Bummed because thought would like this more, but sadly it’s a chore literally to finish this for book club! It’s an easy read just so slow & boring with hints of mystery /magic/lost love found/redemption which I’m all about, but sadly it’s not living up to the hype!

There was no indication that was her mother what cray cray now have to re-read this just to figure out where the clues where lol

Omg Warden Rooke just wow!!!!! Didn’t really like u in the first place, but was indifferent as it’s a job is a job, but seriously now you are just heartless & omg ughhhh😱🤦🏻‍♀️🙄😒😤😒😓

So think Naair the guard is either working with the resistance or her family or some higher up royals to help out our girl Kiva!!!! Either way sooooo glad she is there finally a nice guard after ten brutal years it helps restore faith & hope that she can survive as well as her inmate friends Tripp,Mot,Jaren!!!! Love these characters!!!!

😱😭😭😭😭 I really hope Tripp survives!!! He is so innocent despite all he has witnessed & endured especially at his very young age! Not to mention he brings comic relief when we need it most! Dang this novel is bringing out ALLLLLLL THE FEELS!!!! It’s good novel staying up late even despite early morning work—what a rollercoaster of a ride!!!!

Omg!! Lovin this fated mate shifter novel! Yeah lots of plot holes, but that’s okay as not really into the side drama murder mystery aspect of this lol! The chemistry & the characters are AWESOME!!!! Literally want to be there in this fictional town with them it sounds soooo cool!!!!

Slow going due to reality, but also not as captivating yet to make me put the outside world on hold to finish reading this kinda thing!

Omg so I knew something was going to happen & probably wouldn’t like it, but this really!!!!! His is just an oily smooth talking snake like used car salesman l! He knows to say all the right things & the right moments! Despicable cad!!!! I want to believe he still truly cares about Poppy! He might be like a double agent lol I’m holding out hope they will still end up together & the good will triumph!!!!

I love Hawke & Poppy!!!That being said I feel like something bad is looming in their future! She trusts him heart & body & I know he feels the same way! 400+ pages of this character arch & relationship build up is great as I really feel for our characters as a couple & individually!Yet, I’m afraid he hasn’t been all that truthful with her he keeps stressing ur not as I expected & don’t forget how we feel now!

WTF!!!!! Why did Vikter have to die seriously ughhh he was her closet friend & confidant!! Glad it wasn’t Hawke or Tawny, but still why it have to be him!! Very mad/sad at this outcome!!!!!

So glad Vikter finally stood up publicly for Poppy!!! Plus really really glad he trained her how to fight & kick butt!!!! To the shock of the Duchess, but survival is key!!!!

OMG!!!!! Eeekkksss soooo is it too off base to be thinking our swoon worthy Hawke & this (supposed villain) the “dark one” are actually the same person!!!! Poppy revelled unknowingly or inadvertently what the Duke does in one of his lessons with his cane & now he is killed with same can not too long afterwards!! Even Vikter says he cares, but knows his place & only subtlety help our Poppy! Eeekkksss
