Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated
So Alison Arngrim was a tomboy as a child and loved snakes? Heh. She was like my soul sister.

I find the use of the odd narrator a little too precious (unnecessary), but otherwise an interesting story so far.

*Shrugs.* I dunno. Found this on the Kindle. Read a few pages, then read a few more. Okay, so far.

Some belated holiday reading. I'm already rooting for Krampus, because, I'm that kind of person.

'Nother Laurie Halse Anderson book, because right now, her exquisite depiction of her protagonist's pain is cathartic.

"They call me Me-no-linda for the rest of the period. This is how terrorists get started, this kind of harmless fun." Gotta say, there are some great lines in this so far.

So far, I'd describe this one as pleasant, but not super engaging.

You'd think the last few pages would be more interesting. The climatic finale and all that. But...nope, you'd be wrong.

Chug, chug, chug. Should DNF, but having closure issues. Technically, the writing is pretty good, just...getting distracted by other stuff.

You know what makes me happy. When Tris and Tobias aren't together. So not into their love story. Also, can't believe that Tobias can go all terrorist and getting nothing more than a slap on the wrist for his crimes. Seriously?

A Drink Before the War (Kenzie & Gennaro, #1)
Interesting rumination on race relations in America which is shaded by the fact that this book was first published 20 years ago.

Started this because Allegiant is fucking dull, and The Cove is slow moving. Ah...me of little attention span.

Sort of slow, but picking up as we learn that Walter is a wanted man. The question being why?

Evanjaline is so annoying. She's like the ultimate Mary Sue. I'm hoping, in the tradition of Mary Sues, she dies a painful death.

I think I love The Gray Man. "Neither of them had kissed someone else in while, but it didn't matter. Kissing's a lot like laughing. If the joke's funny, it doesn't matter how long it's been since you last heard one."

Technically a re-read. I recall really crushing on Robin in this one, and now I see why. He's the damaged, but deep down decent kind of hero that I always glom onto. Lots of nifty historical detail.

I read somewhere that sugar breaks down collagen and causes wrinkles. At the rate Stephanie and Lula suck down doughnuts and other sugary snacks, they'll look like Shar Peis puppies before they are forty.
