So I’ve forgotten to update for a couple weekends now. My bad.

Some serious developments over the last hundred fifty pages-ish, and I continue to really love this book.

I think I’m on track to finish this book on Thursday.

Mega hype.

Not sure how the hell this wraps up in 70 pages left tho 🥸

Weekend reading: pretty great. Chapter 19 was another "This is what I want from the series" moment.

Read Ch. 9 last night. Read Ch. 10-22 today. SEVERAL hours. Over 200 pages.

Small progress today. Big, earth-shattering developments

Forgot to update reading yesterday. Ch.s 3-4 were pretty great; Ch. 5 was amazing and exactly what I love about Weir’s work.

Accessible scientific experiments and explanations that by all means should be out of 95% of readers’ wheelhouse or understanding, but somehow perfectly clear.

Nynaeve/Elayne plotline started out pretty strong ngl.

We’ll see how this goes.

I’m now through 5 chapters of WoT5 (TFoH), 100 pages…and this is strongest beginning of any of the books so far imo, barring only EotW.

The prose, the character interactions and the subtlety to the conflict, both internal and external, has been magnificent. Sure it’s only the beginning of set-up, and I still have an entire plotline that hasn’t shown up yet, but THIS is exactly what I’ve wanted from WoT.

First 2 chapters down. Some great stuff, some slightly cringe, PG cursing that feels REALLY bad when this guy wrote the fucking Martian, but overall balancing highly for now.

The amnesia plot is actually unraveling very well so far 👀

First couple chapters now done.

A lot of set-up stuff happening, and I'm interested in all of it so far.

Now finished with Part III. Basically still a nothingburger for me. Don’t really feel anything one way or another besides a couple gripes

I’m really really not sure how to feel about this one so far. I don’t really feel anything about anything in it. Not characters, not story, not character interactions, not concept, not really anything. I don’t DISlike anything (except Muller’s voice for Billy; very bad imo), but I also don’t have any strong feelings of anything else more than 5 seconds after it’s off page again lol 🤔

Prologue down. Lots of cool and interesting information - including stuff that have already been known before but I finally got into my thick skull now lmao

Starting a couple days early because of being out of town this weekend and not knowing what my first week’s reading time with it will be like as such.

Part Seven down. I thinking this going to end tragically.

Because of course I needed another sad book in February 😐

Part VI done; tho I enjoyed a lot of character interactions, this part lacked any iconic moments that the last few have had. I like the brief hunting sequence, but it wasn’t as good as the hunting sequence in W&P for example.

Should be able to do Part VII all tomorrow, Part VIII on Monday, maybe even tomorrow. Shocked I’ll be finishing this this month.

I just went through all of Part V today! Significantly more dramatic than much of the book has been already so far, which says quite a bit. Many sequences I enjoyed quite a bit, especially the wedding of the first several chapters. Nothing quite so amazing as Part IV was though!

Part IV now done. Might even be through Part V by end of month 👀

Part IV was very good. Potentially my favorite of the book so far, at east since Part I.

Nearly halfway through Part IV and while I was up to this point a bit more interested in the Levin plotline, the Anna/Vronsky/Alexandrovich plotline is SUPER enthralling in this part for sure.

Now on this final stretch will I’ll finish in the morning…

I’m lowkey dying. I didn’t expect for this to turn so melancholically tragic. 🥲

Finished Part Two and read Part Three over the last few days. It just keeps taking turns I absolutely don’t expect. The quality of the characters especially continues to astound

Finished Part Two over the last couple of days, a day earlier than scheduled, which is good!

There was a TON of great stuff here. Terrifying character developments and new plotlines for them, some redemption for some others, set-up for all of it that I’m looking forward to seeing more of.

Still aiming to be done by end of next Monday.

Wow a lot happened in my reading today. I love how diverse all of these characters are and how they are simultaneously simple caricatures yet also deeply realized individuals.

I admit I have a hard time with the more disconnected, narrator-focused chapters here and there, but everything else has been great.

I will say this: this started a bit differently than I expected! The characters are simultaneously incredibly shallow and incredibly deep in ways that I don't think is replicatable, and so much has happened in so little pages that I had no clue was going to happen.

Very good so far tho.

Part 1 was actually very good.

Only problem: the reason for my emotional connection and enjoying it so much has been…well, if you know, you know.

Now very worried for the rest of the book lol

Can’t really so much yet, but it’s more immersive and clicking more immediately than ATPH did, so that’s hopefully a good sign.🤞🏻
