This is surprisingly boring so far. Other than some flashes and bangs, nothing has happened. While I like some of the rep, I don't care about these characters. And the intense music is playing at such random times, which is annoying.

I can tell I'm going to really love this book. At least, I hope so!

Yes, April, what had taken you so long? Is it maybe because it was obvious you were in love after five chapters but we had a whole book left so we gotta stretch it out?? -_-

Okay. Not a fan of April playing with Mitch. I mean, she just cut him off and spent weeks ignoring him. And how she's just going to invite him over for sexy times again?? Feels unfair.
Also feel like they could have been in a relationship after two weeks if April would just have communicated with him about his phone. But nooooo. That would leave no story -_-

This is the part of the story where the protagonists get stupid and arbitrary conflict is created before being swiftly and easily resolved. This is also my least favorite part.

The whole "estranged father swoops in and woos everyone so they can't see how toxic he actually is" is *exactly* what happened with my dad.

Really? I feel like we got none of that and I would have liked to have it rather than their instalove.

Waiting for Well Met to come in, but really excited for this one.

One thing I'm disliking more and more in the framework of romcoms is the way authors feel that they have to insert predictable conflict that comes in the last part of the second half of the book. Like, everything is fine and dandy and then, whoops! We're almost done! Gotta throw in one last conflict for good measure.
I know it's a part of the framework but now that I know they are coming, I can feel myself cringe.

Causally listening to this book on speaker while I walk the dog and desperately hoping no one walks by and realizes I'm in the middle of a sex scene 😂

I feel like this relationship developed from dislike to lust really quickly/easily. Maybe the whole "genetic match" is the excuse for this. But I would have liked a little more time in the dislike phase.

This is throwing me off because I nicknamed my middle school best friend Fizzy and haven't heard it since.

Finish one RomCom, immediately start another. Feel like I've been flying through these this year! 1.70 audiobooks definitely help.

I feel like this is interesting but also that I'm not absorbing the whole story through the audiobook. This is also just not what I want to be reading right now. Maybe pick it up again when I'm on break.

Even in Graphic Novel form, this is too much to focus on after a long day of class. May pick it back up when all the volumes are out.

Okay but Timothee Chalamet is an actual character in this book?? 🤦
