Recieved this book as a birthday gift from my bestie several years ago and have been saving it for when I needed a new book that was light hearted. Today us that day.
For some reason I thought this book was about a pickpocket or hiest by a young boy. Realizing that's not the case but intrigued all the same.
Not a big fan though of the Count being described as "shy and womanly.'

For Public Advocacy and Argument class this semester.

Oophf. I think I just got to the SA part and I'm super uncomfy.

Idk if it's the narration or the story but I'm really really bored.

This definitely has drama but it doesn't feel as thrilling as I thought it would from the way people talked about it.

If you're like me, and don't want to hear about people deciding how they'd like to die, I'd skip chapter 13.

Rocky is such a cinnamon roll.

The story has massively slowed down for the sake of romance and while I like all the characters, we need to get this story back on the road and moving along ASAP. Might but it on a higher speed to move through it faster.

Picking this back up because I care to much about the story of Six Crimson Cranes, so I'm not actually falling asleep to it. Moving back a bit because I lost my old place.

I just switched phones and lost all my tags in the Libby app for the second time and this is just the last straw for today.
In other news, this book is beautiful and I think it will be one of my favorites of the year.

Finally getting around to this and will be using it as the first nonfiction book I put towards my goal this year. Found an excuse to pick it up for my Public Advocacy and Argument class this semester. It is definitely dense and kinda overwhelming on its own. So I'm listening to it with the audiobook, which is also narrated by the author. That has definitely helped me to absorb more of it without my eyes glazing over.

Really loving the way this is written. Feel exactly like a folktale you'd be told by a grandparent. Makes for a great audiobook and a quick moving story.

These stories are so inventive and whitty. Needed a break from all the hard science and this is perfect. Feel like Squalls is my anxious spirit animal.

Although I have never been a fan of the shapeshifter forest plot, the art style is really pretty in this one and the story (sans the fox stuff) is good so far.

Yeah, I think the heck not! My sister just got one of these and it's only the size of a fork. A lab?!! I'd be deceased.

I'm liking that the narrator is interesting and intelligent and whitty but not ask cocky and over confident as Mark W. from The Martian. Also, this book is definitely more sciency then I've read in a long time, so it's taking me a second to get settled. But I'm liking it.

I hate the amnesia trope and didn't like Armada, so Weir has a good amount of ground to make up.

Adrian's inner monologue is kind of annoying but then I realize how realistic his spirals are to my own OCD/Anxiety and get conflicted.

This may be the only Rick Riot book I give one star. It is *so* boring.
