"Oh yeah, the challenge is ON! First I have to go through and mark off all the ones I already own, then I'll mark off the ones I've heard but don't own, THEN I'll go about listening to the few remaining ones that I haven't yet heard." May 20, 2018 06:56AM

Lilith Saintcrow
“It's not the type of work you can put on a business card.

I sometimes play the game with myself, though. What would I put on a business card?

Jill Kismet, Exorcist. Maybe on a nice heavy cream-colored card stock, with a good font. Not pretentious, just something tasteful. Garamond, maybe, or Book Antiqua. In bold. Or one of those old-fashioned fonts, but no frilly Edwardian script.

Of course, there's slogans to be taken into account. Jill Kismet, Dealer in Dark Things. Spiritual Exterminator. Slayer of Hell's Minions.
Lilith Saintcrow, Hunter's Prayer

Gena Showalter
“Once I learned, I went online and ordered every romance novel I could find. They're fairy tales for grown-ups.”
Gena Showalter, The Darkest Night

Nina Bangs
“She silently chanted the rules of the civilized: Thou shalt not make love on a balcony even if it’s thirty-something stories up because someone might see you. Thou shalt not make love with a dinosaur no matter how sexy he is. Thou shalt not make love on a balcony when a werewolf is in the room, even if said werewolf is asleep. And last but not least, thou shalt not make love outside when it’s cold because goose bumps are never attractive.”
Nina Bangs, Eternal Pleasure

Gena Showalter
“I'm highly aware that some impulses are harder to ignore than others. I'm aware that fear of consequences causes us to guard our secrets. But it's our actions when faced with temptation that define who we are. It's our courage in admitting what we've done wrong that makes us forgivable.”
Gena Showalter, Intertwined

Lish McBride
“There were no windows in my bedroom, so I had to sit up and read my clock to figure out how angry I should be at my visitor. Eight A.M. I hated whoever woke me up. Had they come an hour earlier, I would have also hated their families and any household pets.”
Lish McBride, Hold Me Closer, Necromancer
