Enjoyed this #2 in the series, and would recommend to others, although I do think you need to read #1 first as there is a lot of carry-over.

I hope to see more in this series.

And Fire Came Down (Caleb Zelic #2) by Emma Viskic ★★★★

Icewineanne | 158 comments Finished this back in February & finally got around to writing a short review. A hilarious look at the life of a 100 year old Swedish man - and yes there are crimes & murder!

PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments Read and enjoyed debut mystery The Ruin by Irish (now Aussie) author Dervla McTiernan. Cold, wet, mysterious Galway, Ireland. It's Cormac Reilly #1, so more are coming!

PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments In her first-ever book, published almost a century ago, Agatha Christie introduced one of the world's best-loved characters, the inimitable M. Hercule Poirot with his very active 'little grey cells'.

The Mysterious Affair at Styles is the first of the many classic "it must be one of us" Christie mysteries.

Susan I just read On Beulah Height On Beulah Height (Dalziel & Pascoe #17) by Reginald Hill by Reginald Hill. It left me in a bit of a “state”. I couldn’t figure out whether I was under or over estimating Hill’s genius. As I’m a huge fan of some of his later books - and I know his characters can be amazingly complex - I’ve decided I really like this novel, if for no other reason than that it’s made me think about it A LOT. If anyone is interested, I’ve posted a longish comment in the novel’s Discussions section at https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... I’d love to know what others think! Cheers.
