Yes, I read that also Brenda, so we have to be satisfied with "Y". But I don't mind that, I am not really a fan of the recent trend for other people to keep writing for dead people.

I liked this book, but there were things about the writing style at times that irritated me. Too many conversations/letters interrupted and not finished (I suppose to build suspense?) when in reality it was easy to easy to see where the conversations were going, so having them drawn out over days, weeks, years was just annoying.
But still,

I think this is the best so far!
Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I remember clearly all the significant events mentioned in this book, the hunger strikes, the yorkshire ripper, attempted assassination of the Pope and of course Charles and Di's wedding. But I don't remember them as all happening in the same time period, and it was interesting to revisit these times.
I listened to this one on audio, and the narrator was great, with the hard, flat northern ireland accent adding to the experience. I would recommend this audio to everyone.

Better late than never?!

#4 in the Brunetti series, and another quiet, enjoyable read and I become more fond of Brunetti with each book.

SNAP!
A second look with the benefit of hindsight. Talented Aussie author Aoife Clifford has written her second book Second Sight. Lots of seconds there, but it's a first-rate read!
