Kylie H | 1257 comments I know this doesn't fit the genre of this group, but the theme of this book is criminal! Historic fiction based on slavery in the early 1800's in Southern USA.

Listened to this one on a dramatised audiobook, with music, sound effects, cast and all, which definitely added another dimension to the book. Enjoyable, but a little bit out there!

The Child by Sebastian Fitzek ★★★

Carolyn | 2091 comments My review for Dead I Well May Be by Adrian McKinty 4★. Set in the drug gangs on 1990s NY, it was quite dark and gritty - good for those who enjoy noir!

Crimson Joy (Spenser, #15) by Robert B. Parker

My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

A 1988 serial killer thriller that doesn't live up to today's standard in popular crime fiction

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Cruel Justice by M.A. Comley

If I didn't have this in 2 different challenges, I probably would not have finished this book. But lots of other people have given it much better ratings, so I think it just probably wasn't for me.

Cruel Justice (Lorne Simpkins, #1) by M.A. Comley ★☆
