This is the 3rd and latest book in this series, set in the northern coast and islands of Scotland. The main character is an oceanographer, who specialises in tracking and finding flotsam and jetsam, including bodies lost (or disposed of) at sea - which is a different angle than usual.

I have rated all 3 books in this series a solid ★★★★ each.

They have a strong sense of place, good storylines and I like the main character. I highly recommend the series.

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau by Graeme Macrae Burnet.

First in a series by a Scottish author, set in a town on the French/Swiss border. It took a little while to get caught up in this book. If you are looking for action packed, probably not the book for you. It is told from the point of view of two characters, the detective and the suspect to a crime, and is predominantly the inner dialogue/reflections of these characters.

But the book grew on me, and I liked the ending, which left many questions unanswered. I have book #2 lined up for an April challenge, and looking forward to it.

The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau by Graeme Macrae Burnet ★★★☆

#2 in the series, quirky and different. Having read the first in the series only a few weeks ago, I settled in to the style of this one more quickly. Again liked the ending.

Be interested to hear what you think of it Brenda!
