     Hi gals,
Hi gals,I'm 31 year old aspiring filmmaker/writer/novelist. I'm originally from Texas, lived in LA for 9 years and currently based in London.
I've been on supernatural romance kick for last year. Fan of YA, sci-fi, crime/mystery and lots of stuff in between. I loved the Richelle Mead's Succubus series and Harper/Grave Sight series from Charlaine Harris.
I think Goodreads suggested the group. Been very active since I started Pajiba's cannonball read last year, so always on look out for new books and another place to discuss!
Hey VF! I am so glad I found you! Who knew there were whole social media groups related to books and reading and why has it taken me so long to figure this out? My name is Erika, I am 34 and live in Chicago.
Hey VF! I am so glad I found you! Who knew there were whole social media groups related to books and reading and why has it taken me so long to figure this out? My name is Erika, I am 34 and live in Chicago. I have been reading romance novels for over 20 years (yeah, do the math) in addition to dabbling in some forensic mysteries, fantasy and thriller/horror novels. But it always comes back to romance.
After 8 years of medical school/surgical residency, I am taking a year hiatus to play stay at home mom to a 2.5yr old. For some reason, during those 8 yrs I didn't get much opportunity to read for fun. I got stuck in a rut, and only found time to catch up on what a few of my favorite authors had been doing (Dean Koontz, Jeffery Deaver, Jayne Ann Krentz in all of her incarnations, Elizabeth Lowell, Linda Howard, Julie Garwood, Kathy Reichs).
This year, I finally had some time to do some serious browsing in the romance section and discovered that somehow the genre has changed in 20 years! I still look for the basic storyline of boy (alpha male) meets girl (strong independent female) with a nice monogamous relationship that leads to love and happily ever after, but I'm enjoying how casual and downright smutty some of the prose has gotten. At first, I thought it was because I was finding things in kindle format, but then I figured out the books existed in paperback, too! I'm also loving the crossover into fantasy/ sci-fi/ thriller. I get everything I love in "literature" rolled into one.
I haven't ventured far into the new author pool, most of the authors I've found have been around for a few years which has given me a good backlog to go through. I've recently discovered Larissa Ione, Jacquelyn Frank, Shelly Laurenston and her alter ego G A Aiken, Cheryl Brooks and Coreene Callahan. I've almost caught up on all their stuff, so I'm hoping to use this forum to keep finding new people to read so I don't get as far behind when I return to the world of medicine this summer.
My husband doesn't understand how I can lose myself in a book for hours at a time and none of my close friends understand my obsession with the romance genre. I love being able to discuss the things I read and am looking forward to having someone who knows what I'm talking about. Can't wait to get more involved with this group!
Hi everyone. I'm Vanessa last name Farmer, hey I share initials with Vaginal Fantasy, so if I ever respond to something you say to me, VF, that wasn't to me I apologize, I can be easily confused and narcissistic on occasion, hehe.
Hi everyone. I'm Vanessa last name Farmer, hey I share initials with Vaginal Fantasy, so if I ever respond to something you say to me, VF, that wasn't to me I apologize, I can be easily confused and narcissistic on occasion, hehe. I am 33 years old, live in San Diego California with my husband of 9 years, our two cats, two snakes, 3 turtles, tarantula, and gargoyle gecko. I am an animal keeper by hobby and trade so to say, for the past almost 12 years I have worked as an assistant to a herpetologist and obviously have a nice collection of creatures of my own.
I have never read any books like the ones here but I have read one or two racy books and I love scifi/fantasy and I randomly decided to check out the read for March 2013 when I was at the book store. Can't wait for the things I will be reading with all of you in the future.
 Hey everyone,
Hey everyone, My name is Whit, I am 22 years old and I live in Texas with my wonderful husband who is my best friend, and my son who is a year old now. (gosh they grow fast)
Anyways I absolutely love to read, it is my passion! I love mostly Romance books of all kinds, but sometimes I read a few different kinds of books like STAR WARS, and other sci-fi books.I love books so much I created my own blog to write about my favorite books. I just found the vlog on youtube, and decided I would join the goodreads site as well. Well can't wait for more books, and other things to come in the future. Nice to meet everyone! :)

 Hi everyone!
Hi everyone! My name is Amy and I live in Ontario, Canada. I have been 29 for 9 years now and am a mom to two young girls. I work with my hubby as an interior designer. He builds the houses and I pretty them up! Its a good partnership. Unfortunately he does not share my love for reading fiction so I was thrilled to stumble upon this group to finally have like-minded readers to discuss books with.
I found VF through the Geek & Sundry channel and am officially hooked now after watching the past videos. I am kicking myself that I didn't find it sooner! Better late than never I suppose.
I usually don't read romance. I love fantasy, sci-fi, horror, adventure etc. etc. but I really had no idea that there were romance books that combined these genres. Who doesn't like some sexy time thrown in? I am excited to discover a whole new genre of books instead of aimlessly wandering around my local bookstore reading back covers and wondering what to get. Also I am happy to be able to finally get away from the YA section. Don't get me wrong, there are some books I really enjoy in YA but I would appreciate characters that are a bit more grown up.
Looking forward to participating in next months discussions! Looks like a fun group you have here :)
Amy
Hello everyone. My name is Stanley (31, Milwaukee) and I have been following Felecia's career for a few years now as I have loved pretty much everything she has done.
Hello everyone. My name is Stanley (31, Milwaukee) and I have been following Felecia's career for a few years now as I have loved pretty much everything she has done.I have enjoyed most of the Geek and Sundry shows and yesterday decided to give this one a view. I really enjoyed the show and wanted to give a few of the books a chance as I have never read these genres.
I just bought the main for the March-April read and am looking forward to trying it out.
Hello! I found VF after a three-day Guild marathon. None of my friends are into science fiction/fantasy/romance, so this is a fantastic find. Plus, Vaginal Fantasy Hangout is the best book group name ever.

Hi, my name is Angela. I am originally from Lithuania but currently studying Computer Science in Dublin, Ireland. I don't have a lot of time to read, so when I do I usually pick the best book available. I love fantasy and I play lots of video games such as Dota 2/TF 2/Guild Wars 2/Planetside 2 [note the amount of 2s].

My English is probably not the best, this is because its not my first language. I speak Russian with my parents, but I only read English books.
I love Felicia! I think she is an amazing person. Her opinions are always interesting to listen to and she can be really funny. She is my role model, but I can never be as outgoing as her :<
H3LLø to all. Chris, 43 here.
H3LLø to all. Chris, 43 here. Just discovered this after pressing the follow button on the Cthulhurotica Blog on fabulous Word Press. Can't wait to read this book. I love different styles but what I enjoy the most is Sci-Fi, Fiction, Horror and Fantasy.
William Gibson, H.G. Wells, Dan Simmons, Neil Gaiman [this dude is a Demon God], Stephen King and OF COURSE H.P. Lovecraft among others.
Also like a bunch of classics, Victor Hugo [damn can't wait to see Les Misérables], Günter Grass, Gœthe and probably my all times favorite, sir Franz Kafka. The Methamorphosis is such an incredible book.
Always looking forward to discover new stuff to read and I can't wait to buy yours.
Digital Artist doing comics since I got out of mommy's, play bass and sing Punk Rock, actually writing an Horror/Sci-Fi/Erotica novel and damn, I love internet.been on it since 1984. Yeah good old 28Kps modems. lol
Loving what I see here.
THANK YOU for that cool fun. :)
Hi, my name is Laurie! I live in the Philadelphia, PA area, and I'm 30 years old. And I'm late to the party, as usual. I *just* discovered Vaginal Fantasy's book reviews on Youtube a few days ago and have been voraciously watching each episode to play catch-up. I've been a follower of Felicia's for a while, from Buffy to more recent ventures like The Guild, but I'm so excited to have discovered Kiala, Veronica, and Bonnie (who I now Twitter-stalk, haha!).

I love to read, draw, and play video games (MMOs, mostly), none of which I get to do as often as I would like because of work (boo).
My favorite authors are Marion Zimmer Bradley, George R. R. Martin, Jane Austen, Jennifer Roberson, & Margaret George. I'm a huge Anglophile, and I love history and mythology/legends (esp. Arthurian & Robin Hood). I hope to get some suggestions of new authors and genres/subjects to read!
Hello everybody. I'm really not good at these introductions things so i'm going to be completly unoriginal and repeat most of the things that are on my profile page. My story a little complicated so here goes... I'm Amanda and I'm from London, UK. My father is English and my mother is Brazilian. I spent nine years in Brittany France when i was ages 12 to 21. Now i´m in Brazil for a stretch, discovering that 50% of my blood origins i was unfamiliar with. Personality wise: At worst i´m complicated and at best i´m convoluted.

Now i´m in Brazil for a stretch, discovering that 50% of my blood origins i was unfamiliar with. Personality wise: At worst i´m complicated and at best i´m convoluted. I'm a bookstore and an arts and crafts store addict. My favourite disney movie was Beauty and the Beast because my dream is to own a library just like the one in the Castle. I'm into various forms of geekery. i study international relations so I'm pretty much forced to read lots of history and political books which i don't dislike though I admit the love I was had for History books has been tarnished by the desperate need to read them by a deadline. I’m fascinated by demons, ghouls and vampires. I’m pretty much into anything dead or resembling it closely. And I shouldn´t forget my interest in sharp and pointy objects like Katanas. Basicaly, i´m a great source of bloody, gory, sordid nonsense. from that you can guess that I read mostly, historical fiction, fiction, graphic novels and fantasy. Obviously I'm including VF in there as well. I'm not a big fan of whimsical romance but i do read it occaisionally. i also read a bit of science fiction, mystery & thriller.
Hello everyone. My name is Alex and I currently reside in Colorado. I'm a guy who has been watching the Youtube Vaginal Fantasy series and have decided to take the plunge as the videos have pricked my curiosity. I've mostly read Fantasy, Sci Fi and General Fiction. Some books I've enjoyed are The Name of the Wind, Iron Druid Chronicles, The Dresden Files, The Quantum Thief, Her Own Devices (Steampunk), and myriad of others.

Some books I've enjoyed are The Name of the Wind, Iron Druid Chronicles, The Dresden Files, The Quantum Thief, Her Own Devices (Steampunk), and myriad of others.I don't know where to start in terms of series or authors in this genre. If anyone could make any good introductory books, I would love that.
Ever since I was young I've always held a fascination for Supernatural, Fantastical, and Otherworldly topics. Growing up this was frowned upon by my parents who are religious. So it was always a guilty pleasure for me. Growing up I found that I did not have any interest in what my parents believed but appreciate the values they imparted to me. I like getting into these somewhat forbidden topics because there is so much more diversity in the worlds.
I'm generally reserved but very friendly. I love my drinks. Beer, Scotch or Wine. Let me at it. I've recently started brewing my own beer with my friends. At the moment we have an IPA brewing. I'm also a red wine fan. I also like a fair amount of geeky stuff like cartoons, games, and comics.
Anyhow, I hope to enjoy my stay here.
Cheers!
Hi everybody, I'm new to the group. I'm addicted to reading, prefer romance, but when I don't have my next book to read I've been known to read the cereal box. Anyway, I am always looking for my next book to read and joining book clubs helps me find the book I'm looking for.

Anyway, I am always looking for my next book to read and joining book clubs helps me find the book I'm looking for. To help with my reading addiction (i.e. my pocketbook needs relief from the expenses sometimes), I'm working on several manuscripts for my own book. It's a lot easier to read and review than it is to write, however, I am having fun pulling the story together. Friend me and lets compare books. Also, I'm posting one of my stories as I create it to my goodreads home, it's free for all to read. Please comment if you read, even if it is negative because I value opinions, but I like good comments too.
Hello everyone! I'm Celise, 18 years old and a Canadian film production student. I think I'm younger than most people here but I've been following Felicia and a few other members for a while and decided to join the group today.

Hello everyone. I'm Loretta and am a culinary student in Seattle. I joined the group because I thought it'd be fun to read a romance novel that other people are reading and discuss the book. My favorite romance novels are one with vikings, or princesses, or with supernatural things.

I just moved here in August after being in Okinwa for 6 years, so it still feels kinda weird being an adult here lol
Oh, and I heard of this group from Geek and Sundry.
Hello all! Here is how it all started: my brother-in-law convinced my daughter and I to watch The Guild. When we got to the part when Vork says to be careful with his "loot excel spreadsheets" (or something very similar to this)we were rotfl - since this happens in our house! Because of this line my husband started watching and now we are fans of Geek and Sundry, Felicia Day and of course VF.

Hey all, I'm Melissa. I'm currently a medical student without any real home except for the ones I make online. I'm a voracious reader and occasional writer. I found this group through PersephoneMagazine.com during the weekly post on what's going on in Ladyblogland. I can't wait to start reading with you all.

     Hi All,
Hi All, I'm here because of a great friend of mine. She's introduced me and I can't say how embarrassing it is, that it took me SO LONG to join here and read all the wonderful crazy books :D
Looking forward to reading together with all of you!
Hi, I'm here because I love to read but hate book shopping since Borders died, I like the idea that someone has weeded through the books for me :)
Hi, I'm here because I love to read but hate book shopping since Borders died, I like the idea that someone has weeded through the books for me :)I'm pretty sure I joined right away being a Felicia Day supporter from the Guild Season 1, even so far as to be an extra at the convention scenes in season 5. I like her if it does exist but I wish it did ill just make it myself attitude.
I have trouble reading the first of a series and then stopping. I'm still trying to finish up the Outlander series from way back before I pick up another monthly pick.
 Hiya!!!
Hiya!!!I love Felicia Day and I think from youtube through her I found this place. I love books, and I love fiction mostly. I enjoy writing when I find the time as well so I am excited to be here to add to the very loooooong list of books I already have to read as it is. Anyone here Anita Blake fans?? Or the Xanth novels?? ^_^ Oh, and I am 25, live in Michigan.
I'm 20, my name is Feather, and until I discovered Vaginal Fantasy I denied reading any kind of romance, but then I realized you can be awesome and read all sorts of stuff. I am really into sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, and I've been following VF for a few months, but I just joined goodreads so, um Hello.

I live in Claremont, CA & would love to get a group together.
I may have already introduced myself months ago, but wanted to say something. Because of Vaginal Fantasy I've read more books in the last few weeks than I have in years.

Hello I'm Michal (Paitlan). I live in Odense Denmark. I learned about Vaginal fantasy from Wil Wheatons Tabletop which led me to Geek and Sundry.´, and from there I was sold. I Love Tabletop games and D&D and I have been an avid fantasy reader all my life. In the last couple of years I kind of lost interest in reading books, but the hunger for books are back thanks to the awesome shows of Sword and laser podcasts/video and Vaginal Fantasy.

I am looking for some good books for first time Vaginal fantasy reader.
Hi,my name is Isabell. I like all kinds of books, but most of the time I am drawn towards fantasy and sci-fi. Those are the kinds of books, helping me relax after a "long" day of studying and sometimes they even stop me from studying. Vaginal fantasy books are espacially good to get through a free day or to stop myself from studying. Most of the time, you are done after a short time, which is good, too. I am looking forward to my ever growing "to-read" shelf.^^

Hi, my name is Jamie and I've been on Good Reads for a while but this is my first book group. I stumbled onto the Vlogs on YouTube and laughed so hard and had such a great time that I knew right there that I wanted to be a part of something so positive and rewarding. And to get to read new books is a major plus. And I liked the science fiction slant of the last book. I'm a die hard sci fi fan (forever!). Looking forward to some fun and interesting times ahead.

Good evening ma'ams (and sirs if that implies)! I'm called Jessica and I joined this group for a couple of reasons. 1) Felicia Day is awesome & 2) For common interest purposes! :D I'm a graduating university student this next May (sqqeeee!) and my major is Sociology and minor in Childhood Studies as well as an Associates in Criminal Justice. I plan to head off to Graduate school and earn my Masters in Library Science--Archival Studies emphasis! I'm excited! I love books and video games (too bad I don't have all the time in the world to do both). I'm also an avid jewelry maker/crafter--it's fun and lets me express the creative side of my brain. :) This is my shop if anyone is interested!

In the end, I'm not too social and prefer my alone time (or contact through social networks :3 ) But everyone has their clicks. Anyways, excited to read up on these discussions! Good evening and thanks for reading! Ciao!

Hi everyone! My name is Elif. I'm 27 years old and from İstanbul, Turkey. I'm still an university student.I learned reading when I was 5 and since than I like to read books with fantastic and sci-fic items. My parents don't like my reading habit, because I read a lot. When I was 11, my father forbidded me to read books, but it didn't stop me :) Now, they only complain about the number of my books at home and always say that I should come down to earth.
My boyfriend informed me about VF. He knows how I love reading this kind stuff and thought that I would love this group. And he was right. You are great! :)
I also like playing computer games, FRP, and cosplay. In Turkey we have not so much conventions, but we do our best. I hope some day you can attend to one of our conventions.
PS: Sorry for my english. I'm good at reading but my writing is so bad.
I figured I would finally introduce myself!
I figured I would finally introduce myself!I'm Heather from Cheyenne, WY and am almost 23. I love to read and write, and I just happened to stumble on a VF livechat a few months ago and loved it.
Hey guys, I am so disappointed that I am just now joining the group. First, I am a LONG TIME lover of paranormal/science fiction reads but I am rather new to having so much "sexy time" in books. I will say that so far with the few that I have been a part of I am please. Now I guess a little about me. I am Mirandia (pronounced Miranda), I am 28. I am currently living in Southern Alabama but I am from right on the TN/KY line. I am a Mom, Wife, cook, photographer, scrapbooker, nerd, pinterest addict, reader, etc.

Hello! I am Jessie and this is my first month here, reading this months book. I have been a watcher of the book club but never really having time to read the same books as the club because i have never really been a book club person. Now i found that i love this book club, none of my fiend are readers like i am, so i never have anyone to talk to about books i am reading or read, so here is a great place for me and everyone is welcoming. I live in Ohio and spend most of my time taking care of my grandma and my niece and the rest of my time, i read and write, hang with friends. the normal things any 24 year old would do.

Hey all! So, I go by Lola by night and by day am a chemistry Prof working on tenure. Last summer, my husband and I thought we'd take a weekend break after finals and learn a new online game real quick called lord of ultima. Well, after 3 months we found ourselves co-leading an alliance that had about as much paperwork as teaching a class, so we had to quit and find a new hobby that wouldn't destroy our (research) lives. Started reading again recently (high school used to be a book a day for me), and just found this group through felicia...been a long time fan without Internet stalking until now. (Incidentally, I teach sci fi freshman writing and had one of felicia's dollhouse episodes on the Syllabus. I didn't understand why dollhouse was canceled until trying to discuss a few episodes in class. Never knew how much resistance to 'gray areas' many people feel!) Anyway, super excited to read these books with y'all and may check out sword & laser, too! Oh, and my friend and I once wrote a choose your own adventure romance novella but never published it...does anybody know of some books already published in this genre?

Hey! My name is Stacey, I'm from Gloucestershire in England and found this awesome book group through Geek and Sundry. I have always had a passion for reading and read literally anything anyone suggests to me. I have just purchased June 13's books and am well on my way to finishing them.
I also run my own guild in Guild Wars 2 which is a lot of work, but great fun! Always great to hear Felicia's voice bring Zojja to life.
I can't wait to get stuck into the forums and really get involved in this club.

"dragon actually" is one of the books we had the pleasure to read (it's actually about a bloodthirsty woman that has a relationship with a knight that is actually a dragon)
Boooosh! Mika like "Flicka" here! If you can't get that, then Michelob is the solid follow up. My name is one thing about me that most people can't get, but I digress.

I like almost anything(twilight), and everything about SF/Fantasy, crime, and enjoy the occasional gory comic. I dabble in a bit of character sketching, Music producing(DAW), and recently (again) video(all encompassing) I was previously(but still in love with my mistress) heavy into IDM/EDM aka Drum & Bass(is my mistress), Dubstep(circa 2008-09) now it's wank, along with an extensive love for 90's hip hop. I am signed to a couple of small indie labels, with a group I started called "The Dubsapiens". Anyway, I enjoy reading much more now, me Mum reads everything about everything, and she is an awesome lady, and an inspiration, I <3 her!
I found the Vaggy-Fanny Hangout, and have been sold ever since, which has been about a day, give or take, but a fan nonetheless. =D
I am either going to catch up, or just go with the flow, cause there were a couple books i read already,(Naked in death, My Life as a White Trash Zombie)
Either way this website, and VagFaj is 'Brill', the hangouts are a drunken hot mess, and i love it!
You know the rest of the story...Smooches!
Hello :) My name is Jo and I joined Vaginal Fantasy a couple of days ago after I stumbled upon the video whilst watching a Geek and Sundry. I was first introduced to this genre after reading Anita Blake series a few years ago. I didn't actually realise this was a genre until I found the video. I live in Brisbane, are there any other Brisbane-ites out there doing a meet up?

Hi all, I'm an American geek librarian in Sweden. Avid gamer and SF/Fantasy-lover. Joined this group because where else can I discuss books like "Kushiel's dart" with like-minded people ? :-)

Hello everyone! I'm Jennifer and I just joined the VF book club after watching the hangouts for quite a while. I love fantasy but romance has never really been my thing. Even though I was a bit skeptical at first the hangouts are so funny I couldn't help but join in! I just finish The Fire Lord's Lover and I have to admit I really enjoyed it and want more!

I am going into my senior year and will be graduating with a BA in History. I then plan to go on to earn my MA in Library Science. I can't wait to discuss these tantalizing books with all of you lovely people!
 Hiya!
Hiya! My name is Heather, I'm 18 and I just joined the VF Book Club. I have followed Felicia Day for a while and I just started following Vaginal Fantasy! I have set a goal to read at least 50 books this month before I leave for my first semester in college. I am not ashamed to admit that I am obsessed with fantasy and romance novels. I have been since I was a girl and now that its actually legal for me to watch what the books talk about, I feel free to discuss it often. I enjoy werewolves, vampires, elves, dragons, aliens, etc. I like it when the male is super strong but the female has the power. I can't wait to join in on all of the discussions and I plan to go back 16 books and read all of them.
So about me, I am again 18 years old and this fall I am attending college here in Georgia (aka where I'm from). I am a double degree in International studies and Public Relations with two minors in Chinese and French. I speak Romanian and I enjoy world of warcraft, watching tv with my parents, swimming with my friends, and wasting away in my room while reading super smutty fan fiction and stories on fictionpress. I enjoy coming up with ideas for writing but I never seem to be able to write them completely. I will one day!
So yeah thats a lot I'm sorry! I can't wait to meet a large percentage of you and discuss awesomeness.
Thanks,
Heather
Hello! My name is Mallory and I'm from Dallas, TX. I just joined after running across the live review last night. I've always loved fantasy...and had a secret enjoyment of smutty novels. So this group is pretty much perfect in my eyes.

Hello! My name is Susanne and this is my first Good Reads book group.
Hello! My name is Susanne and this is my first Good Reads book group. I currently earn a living on trying to teach students how wonderful literature is and writing a PhD thesis inbetween. However, my field of expertise is German Literature on a university level...let's say: not always fun reads.
So I hope I can enjoy discussions about Fantasy and Sci-Fi - my favourite genres of "private" reading - here. Looking forward to talking to you all and reading your posts :-) And of course looking forward to the awesome videos of Bonnie, Felicia, Kiala and Veronica!

My name is Sandy. I've been following Felicia's reviews on Goodreads for a while but only just now joined the group.
I've been on a historical romance reading kick lately. My favorite authors are Joanna Bourne, Julia Quinn, and Meredith Duran. I think I'm finally burned out on HR for the moment, though, so I'm hoping to read more urban fantasy/paranormal romance.
My favorite UF series right now is Jenn Bennett's ARCADIA BELL series. It's different and brilliant.
I'm also a big fan of science fiction romance, though I'm extremely picky about it. I need a 50/50 romance to sci-fi split, and that's difficult to find. Linnea Sinclar does it perfectly, though, and she's at least in the top three of my favorite authors. I highly recommend her books if you want to try out SFR.
I'm going to try to read one of March's group reads. I have to finish up my current book first, but hopefully I'll have time!
Cheers!
Sandy
