Hi I'm Bree and I'm a bookworm (I choose to believe that everyone just chimed in with a "Hi Bree"). I've been reading since I was knee high on a grasshopper and I think my love of fantasy started with the goosebumps books. My love of sexy books started with the novels of Christopher Pike (Last Vampire for the win). I just started following VF and only came to know of Felicia Day from Dr. Horrible, its been down hill ever sense. Excited to find a group with so many gamers and geeks, as I am both.

Hi all! I'm Dani. I'm a soon to be 26 year old chef living in Atlanta. I'm currently busy planning my wedding and doing various other things. (I swear I'll write that cook book one day.)
Hi all! I'm Dani. I'm a soon to be 26 year old chef living in Atlanta. I'm currently busy planning my wedding and doing various other things. (I swear I'll write that cook book one day.) My life is spent cooking, gaming (Tabletop mainly, with the occasional VG thrown in), reading, crafting, and spending time with family. Original, right? I swear I'm a lot more interesting than my bio sounds. I, sometimes, write. Mainly bad fanfic or cheesey noir.
As far as gaming, that's where I spend most of my time. I can't think of a genre I don't like. Though, I'd have to say my favorites invoke noir and vampires.
I'm looking forward to making friends with similar book interests.
Dani
Bree-I made the same transition from Goosebumps to Christopher Pike and enjoyed the Last Vampire books too! From there I went on a huge Stephen King kick and then a friend introduced me to Mercedes Lackey and Tamora Pierce and I've been reading a ton of fantasy and sci-fi since then.

I'm Melissa and I'm 25, from Southern California, and just recently finished my M.A. in Literature. I've been trying to make my way through some of the fun books that fell by the wayside during grad school and when I saw VF had read Kushiel's Dart--a favorite of mine--I was hooked.
I dabble in video games from time to time (currently playing Guild Wars 2) and I also crochet, make jewelry, and do other crafty stuff. My friends and I play tabletop games weekly and have several Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 campaigns going right now.
I'm excited to read along and be geeky with all of you!
I was really hesitant for whatever reason to join but watching the full hour of VF has convinced me.
I was really hesitant for whatever reason to join but watching the full hour of VF has convinced me.My name is Becca, I was in love with Dr.Horrible sing along blog and I dig video games as well. I live in the heart of downtown Seattle and adore books. I have been looking for a reason to get back into reading as well as finding new and erotic things!
Thanks ladies I look forward to new books.
I just posted a comment about the latest book so I figured that I would post on here as well.
I just posted a comment about the latest book so I figured that I would post on here as well.My name is Gavyn. I am 27 years old and I am going to school for forensics and I am working as a Vet Tech. I am very happy to be a part of this group. Life was crazy for awhile and I am happy to be reading again. I have been going through books like a crazy person and I love the books from VF I have read thus far.
I have been a lurker of the hangouts but became brave enough to join the goodreads group. I look forward to the discussion!
This sounds awesome! I would so love to do this. please let me know.

Hello! I'm May Linn from Norway. I just discovered the hangouts not too long ago, and this month is the first time I've actually participated in reading the books! I'm really looking forward to the hangout, and to see what's in store in the future.

     Hello Vag. Fant. group!
Hello Vag. Fant. group!I am so happy to find this group on Good Reads. My fandom of Felicia Day brought me to this page after viewing a video of the book discussion (which I thought was so entertaining and hilarious.)
I live in New England and really love reading (one of my many hobbies) - esp. fantasy and sci-fi :)
 Hey Everyone,
Hey Everyone,I'm Paul and I live Philly. I graduated college with a degree in teaching with a minor in creative writing although I am currently an Advertising PM for a social network. Who knew right? I've been pretty busy over the last couple of years of my life so I kind of fell out of reading and was just a Netflix kind of guy. One day I was having a lovely nerd convo with a coworker and she was astounded that I had never watched Doctor Who. Needless to say I was hooked after just a couple of episodes and along with that, my buried love of reading science fiction was rekindled. I started to read Chris Hardwick's book "The Nerdist Way" which then led me to other media outlets for nerdery; the following is a rough timeline. Nerdist podcasts => Wheaton's blog => Guild => Felicia => Felicia's twitter => Vaginal Fantasy.
I really enjoy this group because although I don't read the books, usually, I do really enjoy the book club aspect of the hangout that Felicia and friends have discussing the books. They always make the subject matter accessible to either gender and have fun while doing. I'm looking to many more discussions in the future
 Hello all!
Hello all!I'm Erica, I'm 25 (well, turning 25 this Saturday!) and I live in San Francisco (though I am originally from NYC). I work as a web designer by day and do letterpress printing by night. I'm also an avid reader, writer, role-player, and gamer. Clearly I have too many hobbies and not enough hours in my day. :P
I found this club after watching the hangout videos on YouTube. It's fantastic to see intelligent discussion about books like these while having fun. I'm really excited to be involved.
Hello! My name is Pamela and am 31. I live in Florida. I am in the process of finishing grad school (defend my dissertation in less than 2 weeks!) and have rediscovered my love of reading.
Hello! My name is Pamela and am 31. I live in Florida. I am in the process of finishing grad school (defend my dissertation in less than 2 weeks!) and have rediscovered my love of reading. Grad school was a bit of a drag on my reading. My attention span was so sad that I would start reading an exciting thriller and I would just put the book down. I would think to myself, "eh, I am sure the detective will figure out who did it."
I discovered the Geek & Sundry youtube channel recently and after watching an episode of the Vaginal Fantasy book club, I knew that I needed to join. What better way to get back into reading than with romance?
Hi! My name is Jess and I'm a complete and total bibliophile! I am completely psyched about future discussions and hanging with other book fans. :)

I doubt the local library carries all of the books but i'll try to keep up. :^D

Hi, I'm Seán from Dublin, Ireland. Stumbled across this after being linked to the Cthulurotica anthology and really enjoyed the cast, so I figured I'd join up here. I'm mostly a sci-fi/fantasy reader, but enjoy a bit of romance/sex every now and then. I'm also a Philosophy graduate so am interested in reading into the theory of things in a bit more detail.

Going through my bookshelves little by little and eating Ebooks like a fiend. If there's anyone out there who's looking for something in particular drop a line as I'm on Bookcrossing and Bookmooch.

I found this group through Geek & Sundry and couldn't resist signing up.
Hi everyone! My name is Angela, and I was invited to this group by a friend. I just published my first work entitled, "Of Summer and Winter" which is listed here on Goodreads as of today. (My author page is in the works.) It's historical fiction with some romance, action, adventure, you know, all the good stuff. So please feel free to check it out. I'm glad to be here and I look forward to contributing to the group!Angela L. Costello

"Hi all, I'm Becky and I'm a book addict." I recently joined both VF and Sword and Laser when I found the videos on Youtube. I love Felicia Day and am amazed at all she does.I'm not technically savvy and am muddling around with all this Geek and Sundry hangout stuff. I can't wait til I can figure out how to watch in real time ;)
I don't read many VF books but my best friend is an author and would love this site, so until I can get her out of school (On her 3rd Master's degree - geesh) and connected, I'm trying to keep up for her.
I am a voracious reader and have many varied tastes: history, religion, politics, Star Trek books (I have them all), sci fi, science.....blah, blah. I will try anything once ;)
I attend DragonCon in Atlanta every year and have the honor of calling several people who have been in the writing courses there with A.C. Crispin as friends.
(I realize I'm babbling; I'm on cough medicine for a sinus infection - I apologize.)
Anyway, I'm a child therapist and work at a mental health center; I live north of Birmingham, AL and love sci fi.
Nice to meet you!

Hi Becky! Watching in real time is super easy... you can just do it through youtube. It's sometimes a little tricky finding the link right at the beginning but then it's nothin :)
 G'day all, greetings from Australia!
G'day all, greetings from Australia! My name is Olivia and I'm currently studying at uni (International Studies). I found VF after stumbling onto Geek and Sundry and I have been addicted ever since. I love reading, and I always try to leave an hour before I go to sleep to read. I write as well but not as frequently, maybe one day I'll finish a novel and publish it. Well thats the dream, lol.
hello! Nicole from Manassas VA (Near DC) Lately I have been reading twitter and facebook only. I need to expand and get back into reading real books. I was annoyed by the 50 Shades craze (sorry) because I know great eroticia exisist. I look forward to new adventures in reading!

     Hey!
Hey! I'm Heather from Portland, Oregon. Book addict from the start. My parents used to let me stay up late if I was reading so now I'm programed that way.
I write a comic called Zombies vs Cheerleaders. Very fitting with the November book selection!
 Heyo!
Heyo!I'm Michael, Thought i'm not a girl i am gay :) and love your hangouts! From originally the Bay Area (San fransisco!) now in Valencia,Cali. Hellooo all,
Hellooo all,My name is Anita and I am a Fantasy geek. I am a freelance illustrator living with a mmorpg obsessed bipolar fiancée and a black overweight cat.
Sadly enough my girlfriends are not as avid when it comes to reading as I am so finding Vaginal Fantasy and Sword and Laser was a really nice surprise for me. Having followed Felicia Day and the Guild for a long time it took me surprisingly long to hitch my wagon onto this group, but I'm finally here to talk books and maybe make new friends ^^
Love, Anita
 Hey Everyone,
Hey Everyone,I'm Emily, I'm a college student living at home. I have a book blog: http://bookmenagerie.blogspot.com/
<---Shameless self-promotion
I've been watching VF almost since the first episode, but I never read the books until last episode because I live with a bunch of kids that read like crazy but are too young for this sort of books and I'm not going to be responsible for that.
Okay, sorry for the long run-on sentence. Um, yeah, I love reading all sorts of books, but I haven't read much romance, for the above mentioned reason. Now I have a kindle though, and I am looking forward to actually participating in this group throughout the month.
Hi! My name is Sara and I live in Ithaca, NY. I recently joined Sword and Laser and found this by exploring the Geek and Sundry channel on YouTube.
Hi! My name is Sara and I live in Ithaca, NY. I recently joined Sword and Laser and found this by exploring the Geek and Sundry channel on YouTube.I enjoy reading historic fiction, some fantasy and some modern novels. I also read nonfiction about science and history. I like romance novels that have strong female characters. Books like "Twilight" and "50 Shades of Grey" scare me in how they portray women as weak and controlled by men. I am also currently writing 3 novels.
Oh! I also love Dr. Who, Supernatural, Once Upon a Time and DWTS! I am a nerd and let me geek flag fly.

I don't like all of Sara Waters' books because she doesn't always provide a happy ending but Tipping the Velvet was quite good and has some good lesbian sexy times.

Fingersmith is also quite a good read Mirvan.
Fingersmith is also quite a good read Mirvan. Hi, I'm Brooke. I've been lurking for the last couple of months since I stumbled upon this. I have always been a huge reader and I have loved fantasy since getting the Chronicles of Narnia for Christmas when i was 6. There is nothing better than being able to immerse yourself in a completely different world. Almost everything I read or watch has to have strong female lead characters so Vaginal Fantasy is right up my alley.
 Hello,
Hello,My name is Rosie and I live in Rhode Island. I've been following Geek & Sundry since its birth, but only recently really looked into Vaginal Fantasy. Myself, my mother, and my 80-year-old grandmother are all big readers, so we're all joining the club (I know my grandma is going to get a kick out of some of these books)! I myself play a lot of board and video games and work as a graphic designer.
 Hey Hey Hey,
Hey Hey Hey,I'm Laura and I live in Northern California. I found out about this reading group from following Bonnie on Twitter. From here I saw Geek and Sundry which lead me to do Sword and Lasers book club too.
I've always been trying to find new stuff to read, but it's too easy to get the same suggestions over and over again. I like Vaginal Fantasy cause each book has been something I never even heard of.
 Hi all!
Hi all! My name is Chandra and I live in New York. I am new to the Vaginal Fantasy book club as of last month. I read Master of Crows and really enjoyed it. In all honesty I do not read books very often, and last months book was the first romance book I have ever read! However, I am excited to change that. I am looking forward to reading some books I may have never thought I would read.
My interests include my kitties, YouTube, playing video games and other geeky things like that. I am currently going to school to be a Vet Tech.
I'm really looking forward to participating in this group!
Hi Everybody! I'm Sarah from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and am new to VF. Just joined it and Sword and Laser this month, after having discovered them on the Geek and Sundry channel on YouTube when I subscribed to get the new episodes of the Guild.

Just joined it and Sword and Laser this month, after having discovered them on the Geek and Sundry channel on YouTube when I subscribed to get the new episodes of the Guild. I've read SciFi and fantasy for a long time since my dad introduced me to Wheel of Time in grade 7 ( and now I'm 29!). I'm really excited to have a place to discuss my geeky books, cuz none of my friends are nerds, unfortunately. Now I just need someone to share my nerdgasm that I just got the first 6 series of Dr. Who on DVD (Matt Smith here I come)!
Looking forward to hanging out each month!
Hi! I'm Baby Girl. I'm in Bakersfield, CA. I just fortuitously stumbled upon this group while looking for something (can't remember what) on google...but that's great for me since I have been desperately searching for a fun group (Bakersfield is really isolated), taking up new hobbies and am an avid reader...especially when it comes with a glass of wine. Normally, I prefer erotica or horror novels but I've been known to enjoy a good sci-fi or fantasy when the mood strikes...and this group was just too good to pass up :D

Hi I'm Kristen and I'm a Book Addict. Sorry wrong group, anyway I'm from Austin, Texas and I'm 24. I found this group after I subscribed to geek and sundry on youtube.I just finished reading the hobbit for the first time which is strange since I love fantasy books. I also have a weakness for romance novels which for me are the literary version of shows like desperate housewives.
I am definitely going to try and get some of my friends in on this. I am really excited about having new books to read and discussing them with awesome intelligent people.
Also I just joined sword and laser and my husband is going to freak about the Jim Butcher interview because he is a huge fan.
Hi my name is Dara! I joined the Sword and Laser club a month or so ago and decided I'd check out Vaginal Fantasy too (since I <3 Felicia Day and Veronica Belmont and Bonnie Burton so much). Hope to get some good, enjoyable reads from this group!

     Hi guys!
Hi guys!My name is Becky, I'm 24 & live in the DC metro area. I am a stage manager & work in a theatrical supply shop. I love cooking and crafting, especially embroidery and knitting. I also watch way too much TV.
I recently joined Goodreads after watching a couple of the VF Hangouts & getting some great recommendations from it.
I've been an avid reader from an early age- the threat of withholding bedtime stories was much more effective than time out- and a fan of fantasy novels for almost as long. My dad read The Hobbit to me as one of the aforementioned bedtime stories, and I remember being SO EXCITED when I found out that The Lord of the Rings existed (my dad made me read them to myself- reading all 3 of them out loud was too daunting a challenge).
My taste leans more to the sword than the laser, but I am slowly developing an interest in sci-fi (mostly thanks to VF). My current favorite fantasy series are A Song of Ice and Fire and The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher. Outside the realm of sci-fi/fantasy, I'm a big fan of forensic-style mystery novels. I also love the Agent Pendergast books by Preston & Child- crime novels with an element of the supernatural? It's like the best of both worlds!
I'm looking forward to finding a lot more new books to read!
Hey all! My name's Chantaal and I live in the SoCal Inland Empire, about an hour east of Los Angeles. I joined this group aaages ago, but I'm finally getting back into the swing of things since I've been craving some actual interaction with the books I read when I'm not reading for college. :P

I joined this group aaages ago, but I'm finally getting back into the swing of things since I've been craving some actual interaction with the books I read when I'm not reading for college. :PI love trying out just about anything I can get my hands on, though having read Lord of the Rings when I was 10, I lean more toward fantasy than anything else. I also read a lot more YA than any one person should. I joined VF because I want to expand my reading horizons, and it seemed like the perfect place to get recommendations and have discussions. Can't wait to get talking and get to know you guys!
Hi everyone! I am Molly. I am 22 and live in eastern North Carolina, but will be moving to NYC next summer. My favorite thing to do is cook or bake. I enjoying spending time with my dog and have recently become re-addicted to Skyrim.

I love VF books, especially since I got my kindle a couple of years ago since no one can judge me with the dirty covers. I read a lot of serious books for school, so when I read for pleasure I generally want something fluffy and set in another universe.
I am looking forward to the recs and conversations!

Hi everyone, I'm Miranda. I just graduated from uni this year and live in Melbourne, Australia. I found VF while I was searching about Poison Study a few weeks ago. I remember a link on Amazon a few months ago, tracked it down, bought the Kindle edition and found out it was book of the month for you guys, talk about coincidence! I don't read as much fantasy as I'd like to. I love most Tanith Lee's work, was introduced and loved the Sookie Stackhouse books and the Kushiel's Dart series through friends, and love Game of Thrones/ASoIaF.I'm really glad I found this community and discussions, the emphasis on female protagonists, sex and fantasy are great combination.

Hi I'm Amanda and I have always loved reading Fantasy, Romance, and a little Sci-fi and Mystery. I read a lot of paranormal romance and passion filled Harlequin books. I am looking to make a small dent in my want to read list. I live in Columbus OH.

Alo! I'm Lauren, Rhen, girllawrin, ryotgrrl... I'm a culinary student and an underambitious artist, and an overpaid housewife.... >.<
I write fan-fic and play video/tabletop games far too often. I love reading and I think the first half of my life was playing pretend so I could write a story so I could draw the pictures so I could have the forever fantasy... and a run-on sentance for my about me... :)
So excited about meeting everyone!
Hello, I've been a member for about a week but have just now summoned up the courage to write an intro post. I have always liked the idea of book clubs, but have never lived in an area that had them. I am looking forward to participating, especially since I don't have to leave my apartment to attend!

I guess I should say a bit about myself. I am currently living in Japan but hope to be attending grad school next year. I will read anything and everything but tend to gravitate towards supernatural and fantasy books. I am also a gamer. I love the Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Fallout and Dragon Age series.
