Hello! I'm Sidwell from New Brunswick Canada. I just started watching Vaginal Fantasy and was hooked after the first episode. I have not read a lot in this genre but the hosts of the show made it look like a lot of fun so I thought I would give it a try! I generally read mystery and ya books but I will pretty much read anything :)

   Hello!
Hello! The name's Chris. I'm an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader who started listening to the Vaginal Fantasy videos while I was playing World of Warcraft. As I've always had a soft spot for romance movies I'd give the books a try! Oh yeah, I'm a guy, if my pic doesn't give that away XD
 Hi
HiMy name is Dawn and I found your channel through the Sword and Laser show imagine my surprise when I found you here on goodreads. I love UF but to break it up a bit I try to read a little Sci-Fi, PNR and Fantasy.
Your videos are awesome.
Happy reading!
The Masturbation Journal My new erotic e-book is free for the next 2 days...I would love it to be considered as a book for the Vaginal Fantasy BookClub discussions

Hi, your web series Vaginal Fantasy Hangout was recommended by some friends since I read so much paranormal romance. I found you on Goodreads after seeing you on YouTube. I just started reading the current picks and look forward to your next discussion.

Pandora BleueTales of Fire: Pages from my personal diaryH, My name is Pandora and I've been reading erotica for many years now. Even back in the days when I had to steal some guy's magazines or books from his collection because it just wasn't easily available for women to get their hot little hands on. I wrote a very steamy erotica book and it's been out on Amazon & B&N.
Here's hoping you pick it up and bring it to the beach this summer. I enjoy reading everyone's postings out here!
Hi! I'm Anders, and after binge-watching and absolutely loving all the Vaginal Fantasies hangouts I thought I'd join the Goodreads forum as well, even though it's been ages since I last read any fantasy or sci-fi.
Hi! I'm Anders, and after binge-watching and absolutely loving all the Vaginal Fantasies hangouts I thought I'd join the Goodreads forum as well, even though it's been ages since I last read any fantasy or sci-fi.My current reading diet tilts towards politics and history. The last two books I've read are Exit, Voice, and Loyalty and Russia and the Arabs, and I tend to read every issue of The Baffler, Jacobin and n+1.
More within the theme of this group, some authors that have left a huge impression on me are H.P. Lovecraft for the intensity of his storytelling, William Gibson for his ability to draw out my visual imagination, C.S. Lewis for perhaps the most transcendent experience I've ever had reading (Perelandra), and Ursula K. LeGuin for bringing some emotional reality into fantasy.
If there's one book I would recommend for absolutely everyone, it would be How to Talk About Books You Haven't Read, which is a slim volume that not only does what the title promises but delves deeply into what we mean when we talk about having read books.
I live in Lund, Sweden and work as a software architect/analyst/something for Ericsson. Oh, and I'm @AWidebrant on Twitter, so there's that.
Greetings I'm my name is Brett, from the west coast of Canada and I just discovered Vaginal Fantasy tonight. I got a youtube weekly subscription e-mail and it listed 3 video it thought I might like. One of them was Vaginal fantasies #18 - Fire lord's lover.
Having no context my first reaction was, 'what the frak? Why is youtube sending me vaginal video recommendations?' Its not like I troll the nether regions of youtube looking at vaginal videos. (not that there is anything wrong with that, but why use youtube for your vaginal fantasy needs? Aren't their dedicated websites for that? [Looks innocent]) Nor do I watch videos that talk about vaginal issues, lacking the proper plumbing. And what exactly is a Fire lord's lover? Is that some new fangled slang the kids are using for crotch itch? I was rather perplexed.
I was in a situation that we all, I am sure, have found ourselves in, that point when you know something is a bad idea and you know you are going to do it but you have to talk yourself into it. Was there really any chance that I was not going to click on the link to discover just what exactly was Vaginal fantasies?
Not that I am unaware of what fantasies are or what a Vagina is but I was unaware that they had fantasies of their own. Granted if I thought about it I shouldn't have been surprised because I am well aware that my wee willie winkle seems to have a mind of it's own on occasion.
So with more than a little morbid curiosity and trepidation I took the plunge and clicked on the link.
Of all the possible outcomes I thought could happen seeing Felicia Day waving and saying, "hi," was not on the list. Suddenly it made sense as a couple of weeks earlier I watch Ms. Day's web series she made for Dragon age. That's why youtube said, 'hey watch Vaginal Fantasies!'
Needless to say I have spent all night laughing my ass off, disturbing my neighbours in the apartment next door. (Sorry about that should they happen to be reading.)
I never thought I would find watching a video of a romance book club so entertaining. I knew this was going to be special when Ms. Day said, "We are going to talk about romance books, so warning. [laughter] I don't know some people wander in, and they're probably 13-year old gamer guys, and like, what the hell."
So here I am trying to explain to my computer screen, "No you got me all wrong... I'm not a 13-year old gamer guy.. okay I'm a gamer guy but I'm not 13... I didn't just wonder in because I saw a link that said Vaginal Fanta... err okay maybe I did... But no seriously its not how you think I mean youtube sent me a link and I was..." At which point I am realising that I am alone at my computer, justifying myself to a video as to why I am there watching. Not something I will be putting on my genius resume.
Now I wont go into a play by play of the video but I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching five witty and intelligent women talk about elf rumpy pumpy and cat-dragons.
Well done.
I've tried to introduce myself like 6 times but erase the post because it comes off sounding like an introduction in a 12 step program. I am trying out this new thing where I embrace my inner vagina and actually own up to reading this stuff. Karen Marie Moning's Fever series is what got me hooked. And I've been hooking ever since.

Hi my name is Travis and I am a bookoholic. My addiction started 21 years ago when I read my first book. By read I mean made my mom read to me until I memorized every word. The book was "The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree" and I still own it.
Hi my name is Travis and I am a bookoholic. My addiction started 21 years ago when I read my first book. By read I mean made my mom read to me until I memorized every word. The book was "The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree" and I still own it.As I grew up the addiction was more or less under control, mostly because it was hard to get new books at such a young age. Then I started middle school, there was a library in my middle school, the library had books. By the end of my middle school carrier I held the distinction of being the only student with special permission to check out more than two books at one time, proving that if you annoy your school librarian enough they will relent just to see you less than 3 times a week.
High school was much the same, only difference being that I now read faster resulting in me running out of material in just a couple of years. At this point my only choice was to seek outside help. That search lead me to the wonder that is the public library. The public library sustained me for the remaining years of high school and my first doomed shot at college(current attempt is going very well). Then the year 2007 came around and Amazon announced a new product by the name of the Kindle.
At the time I was working part time as a cashier and saving up for a car. I purchased the kindle instead. Best poor decision I ever made.
Now I just spend all my time searching the internet for new things to read. So imagine my delight when I stumble across a Geek and Sundry video focused around book. Not just any books, but a genre I have barely touched. How could I resist?
Isn't that what this forum is? ;)"

Okay... I suck at these to let anyone know about posting about myself.
Okay... I suck at these to let anyone know about posting about myself.I am a long standing Felicia Day fan from Buff, Bring it On, Dr. Horrible and so on. I have been busy in rl and only recently started getting caught up on geek and sundry where I heard about this book club/group thing. I gave the most recent video a chance. Just the mention of Kushiel's Dart (which I have owned and loved since it came out in and even a sport a tattoo inspired by it) I had to come join the group.
About me is I am an avid reader who works as a support clerk in a large firm. I listen to just about as many books that I read in a year which is a ton. I own and run a few rp forums which I enjoy greatly. I do game but recently have gotten back into table top gaming more than anything else. I am an internet junkie. I honestly only started to get into the romance novels and the like once I hit my 30's. So, many of these titles are new to me and I will be looking into them as much as possible.
I answer to my screen name so no worries there. Nice meeting everyone.
Hi my name is Audrey, I'm twenty and live in Hatfield, PA. I found this group on YouTube saw that they were doing books and just couldn't wait! I've been looking for any sort of book club :) I love to read anything lol so I am super excited to start reading with you all

Hi! I'm Nashay, an artist, graduate student, gamer, and lifetime avid reader from Philadelphia, PA. I love reading all kinds of things, but lately science fiction and fantasy has caught my attention. I finally got a chance to check this month's pick out from the library in enough time to read it before the end of the month (hopefully)! I hope to hang out as much as I can, both online and in a local group. Bye bye for now!

Hey all, I'm Marj in Nebraska. Big SF&F fan (not as big into romance, though Kushiel's Legacy is among my most prized possessions) so after hearing about this group I had to at least drop by. Lately I've been reading a lot of Elizabeth Moon, as well as the Obsidian Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey/James Mallory. So....*waves*

      Hi Everyone!!! :)
My name is Malissa. I am 20 years old and live in Oklahoma. I am currently a sophomore in college. However, I am not currently enrolled in college at this time. I recently moved back to the United States from living in Japan so I had to put my college studies on hold while I get settled. Once I get more settled, I'm hoping to attend the University of West Florida as an English or Library Sciences major. Even though I miss being in school full time, I love having the extra time to read the books that I want to read :)
I am excited about this new group and am looking forward to participating in discussions with y'all! :)

Hello. My name is Marilyn. I am 29, I am really pretty shy. I have always been into reading. I have been following the group for a while. Forum stalker I will be no longer! I am a book lover of all types, but I enjoy the paranormal/romance/fantasy genres. I am a fan of Felicia Day. I want to like live in Joss Whedon's brain for a day just to get my fill of his unaltered thoughts. Man is a genius. I love gaming, quite a bit. Beginning with my Soul-Mate game of "Tetris Attack!" on SNES. I still own it, play it and love it! Played WoW, and a few other mmo's. So, there. Finally threw myself out there. Hope y'all have a great day :)

Hello everyone !I'm Marine, i'm 21 and i live in south of France, in the beautiful city of Nice. I never introduced myself before, because my English is not that great.. I really like this book club because it allows me to perfect my English while enjoying some cheesy romance.
Perfect way to learn!

Hi, I'm Heidi. I'm 33 and live in Wellington in the southwest of the UK.I've been into sci-fi/fantasy since a teenager, both books & tv & film. Some of my favourite authors are Kate Elliott, Melanie Rawn, Terry Pratchett & Jacqueline Carey.
I've dabbled in gaming but my husband is much more into it. He introduced to me to Geek & Sundry & I've been exploring the different shows. Now catching up on VFH & thought I'd get involved.
Good to meet you all! Xxx
Hello! I'm Lizzie, 21, based in north west England, and I love reading but find most of the books that are recommended to me by people in book shops to be very run of the mill so I'm looking forward to reading books recommended to me by others online!

I love fantasy books. Favourite writers are Terry Pratchett and Trudi Canavan. I haven't read a lot of romance novels in my time but have read lots of romantic fanfiction (I'm hoping romantic novels will be better than most of what I've read)
I've recently graduated from university, studying illustration. Now I work part time and draw in my free time.
I look forward to my time in this community!
Hi all. I'm Karen, I've always been a big fan of fantasy and horror and and due to that kind of stumbled into the world of PNR. I've never been a huge fan of romance. However I noticed a number of the books read here in the past have been one's I've either read or want to. So, I thought it would be an awesome place to chat with people about a book or get new suggestions.

I'm Crissy, and I got here because of Felicia Day. Started watching "The Guild" a long time ago, and have been inspired by her ever since. When Vaginal Fantasies and Sword and Lasers showed up on "Geek and Sundry" I thought I'd come over and check them out. Joined, and lurked ever since.

I'm Brandi. I recently joined Sword & Laser and VF after finding them on Geek & Sundry. I've always been an avid reader, but have never much been into romance novels. Whenever I tried reading romances that have been recommended to me, they were always boring or badly written (or both). I figured maybe a group like this will choose better ones than those that friends have recommended in the past. I grew up on Sci-Fi, horror, and fantasy, and those have largely been my favorite genres (both in books & film). I guess my thought is that if the SF/Fantasy is combined with the romance it might be more my style.

By the way, is it just me or are these intros always a little awkward? I never know how much to say & always feel that I sound kind of dumb with whatever I do say. It's like being the new kid in school & having the teacher tell you to stand up & "share a bit about yourself with the class." I am normally fairly well-spoken and sometimes even eloquent, but I get put on the spot (even with intros like this), & suddenly I'm tongue tied & stuttering.
Hi I'm Abs! I just got invited here by Gary. I cannot quite discern what this group is about, could someone help me out? I noticed the mermaid/selkie thread though so I might have found my home. I'm training to be a nurse, live in Vancouver CA.

Keep calm though, I'll sign all autographs later :DMy friend Abby just yanked me in here :) Apparently something about me screams 'Vaginal Fantasy'.
In all seriousness (it happens) I'm a 30 year old overgrown tween from Australia. I read and write everything. I read everything well-but my writing is a wee bit dodgy, though. I'll own it. I'm a mum of 3 angelic (*cough, cough*) girls a former cheerleader and a musical theatre actress star. And by that I mean I've done 1 musical this year and got booed off the stage. That's all right though-I was playing Amber in Hairspray so it was kind of expected.
That's what I'm telling myself. I just landed a lead on Sunday in something else playing a sweetheart so if I get booed again, I'm takin that shit personally.
I love well written, perfectly executed plots with lots of twists and turns with a decent bangin' thrown in for good measure. Dean Koontz is my god. Stephanie Meyer my goddess (don't judge. I freaking love Edward Cullen) and Justin Cronin and Ken Follet keep my brain active as I weave between 50 shades and Lora leigh.
I'm Chantal, 36 years old from the Netherlands. Used to be a an avid reader but live threw me some curveballs and reading for pleasure was put on a slow burner.
I'm Chantal, 36 years old from the Netherlands. Used to be a an avid reader but live threw me some curveballs and reading for pleasure was put on a slow burner. Thankfully things are now returning to normal and since I found Geek and sundry and had me a marathon watching the vaginal fantasy RBC, and tabletop I got back into the book thing as well as playing boardgames.
So whenever I'm not busy writing musicreviews, walking dogs or hanging with my friends, I travel the worlds of fantasy again through those lovely paper pages. I'll read just about anything but love Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror and Mystery. Books or fanfics
Hi, Tina. Adelaide. Australia. And slow. Slow to discover YouTube, too late for Kickstarter, only recently found Tumbler, became passionate about fanfic and finally got VF! (NOTE - I mostly have Veronica Mars to thank for bringing me up to date - my new obsession)
Hi, Tina. Adelaide. Australia. And slow. Slow to discover YouTube, too late for Kickstarter, only recently found Tumbler, became passionate about fanfic and finally got VF! (NOTE - I mostly have Veronica Mars to thank for bringing me up to date - my new obsession)But I've been a long time reader. I grew up in a library, or very nearly. It was my parents version of after school care. And thanks to Judy Blume, Betsy Byars and Tamra Pierce I read voraciously. Later I discovered Raymond Fiest, Anne McAffrey, Frank Herbert and of course Tolken.
Now I read many things but usually come back to Patricia Briggs, Karen Marie Moning, Christine Feehan (mainly the fae series), Lillith Saintcrow, Jeanine Frost, Keri Arthur, Kresley Cole, Charlaine Harris, Laurell K Hamilton, Kathy Reichs. I do find some of them formulaic at time though. And I could list many other authors that I've read pretty much all of (such as Amanda Quick, Virginia Henley, Iris Johansen...)
I have been reading ebooks on my phone for about 10 years and love that I can take my library with me.
Oh and most importantly I have my own very small Wine Cheese Chocolate Bookclub - a fantastic combination, no?
Ok - nice to meet you all. Back to my book...

This place seems really great! :)I'm Cynthia, a fan (and writer) of paranormal romance. I, like all of you, am obsessed with reading! I also love art! But then, who doesn't?
In my spare time I do a bit of gaming. Horror games are my special, awful comfort zone!
I found VF in a weird way, I love smodcast on Itunes and was listing to the interview with Kevin Smith and Felicia Day. After the 2 hour podcast I want online and found Geek and Sundry and love the channel. I also am a huge GR person and am on it more the FB so when I found out she had a book club and had to sign up.

Hi, I'm Jessica, from South Africa. I'm generally not big on romance books, but I adore Steampunk and it seems a little difficult to find one without the other, so I thought I might as well go in for the whole bag. That and Geek and Sundry is my new favourite channel. Looking forward to diving into the picks (and catching up on a few older ones) as soon as I've caught up on my thesis.

How could I resist a group with a name like Vaginal Fantasy? I couldn't! I discovered the group in the recent New York Times story about online book clubs (wish I had a link, but I don't).

I'm a voracious romance reader, mostly contemporary, historical and romantic suspense. Confession: I've written two romantic suspense novels (working on the third), but I'm not here to promote.
I live in New England, have a twin son and daughter and love to drive fast!
Hi all. I found VagFan through a friend while I was complaining that I wouldn't read 50 shades of grey because there are way better romance novels out there. He mentioned Felicia Day ran a romance book club that I may want to check out and here I am :)

He mentioned Felicia Day ran a romance book club that I may want to check out and here I am :)I have been reading for as long as I can remember and read pretty fast. The first romance novel I read was "The Sinful Nights of a Nobleman" by Jillian Hunter. I had finished reading all the books I brought on vacation (this was pre-kindle) and found it in a take-a-book/leave-a-book box at the hotel. It was pretty interesting and pretty steamy!
I will read anything and there are a lot of books I took a chance on that I really enjoyed. My favorite genres are SciFi and Fantasy but Romance novels are my total guilty pleasure so I am really having fun with this group!
 Hello Everyone..
Hello Everyone..I am brand new to Good Reads and this group - both...
Love paranormal romance, romance mystery and just about anything where people have fun sexy times :).
As to what I like to read? I am a series slut.. I will read about anything that has multiple books in the same series... I like to get invested in my alternate universes :).
Hi, I'm Alessandro, or melting pot from the g&s forum, and youtube comments too, come to think of it. 35 yo, Half dutch, half italian, I don't think I've yet read any of the show's book, but that has not stopped me from having a giggle with the ladies ever since the first hangout...also because Dick and Tom occasionally supply extra commentary and gags. Dick and Tom are voices in my head. Tom is a grumpy old man... Dick is a dirty old Man, similar, but not quite the same.

Hey everyone! I'm Tiffany & stumbled upon VF b/c of Geek & Sundry. I loved "The Guild" (mainly b/c someone sent me "Do you Want to Date my Avatar" as a joke since I play WoW....seriously, and I loved that and ended up having to watch the series and fell in love with it (thinking I would maybe watch the first few webisodes). Nope, got addicted and watched them ALL!! Now, I watch "Co-Optitude" and am addicted to that since I cuss like a sailor (like Felicia) and it reminds me of myself. And I enjoy "TableTop" too. :) Love Geek&Sundry! So, decided to watch this last episode of VF and thought it was cool. And when I saw the recommendations for this next time "The Other Boleyn Girl" being one of them, I knew I had to join in. :) I'm an avid reader and love all types of fiction.....but I love actual books so I have 2 huge bookshelves FULL of unread books and then a bazillion I have read. I'm addicted to books. I'm a total Potterhead (LOVE HARRY POTTER) and other teen fiction too so its not just adult fiction stuff. I'm a big kid and appreciate ALL types of fiction. If I read a really great book or series of books (like the HP series), I will literally feel so sad when its over.....and cry. I know. Isn't that sad but its really not. I just get so involved. I'm also a writer (scripts and am working on my first novel in a series of novels that was inspired by one of my paintings). The novels will be SyFy/Fantasy. :) Its nice to meet you all! :) HAPPY READING!

Our book group, as titled in our picture and Goodreads account, are all fans of VF! It is hard to get a group together in Utah on this subject, but somehow we have found some people and are still growing in number. We figured this would be an excellent offshoot for the club and would hopefully help us grow in membership! In other words, Come on UTAH!!! Join in!!!
Here is a little more about our book group!
Dolly's Bookstore's new, racy book club: where the classic romance novel will prove to be smarter, and sexier, than you would ever imagine!
Beyond the heaving bosoms and quivering loins, our group will actively discuss views on topics unique and relevant to our classics, while having a little harmless fun with our alternative book pick. This will make for a lively environment, sparking interesting conversation with new friends, and perhaps more...
We will be discussing one "classic" and one alternative, modern romance novel on the last Sunday of each month. So, come and join us for tea and other refreshments, books, and a good time.
WE LOVE YOU VF!

Hello everybody! I'm Rachel from New Mexico. I love to read, I think that's a given, and I love to play video games. Fantasy and Sci-Fi are my two favorite genes to read. The Redwall series by Brian Jaques is a series I started as a freshman in high school and almost 10 years later, I'm still reading. A few bumps in the way, I'm not that slow of a reader, heh.

My reading has slowed a bit due to school. I'm going for four majors and one minor. Majors: Animal Science Industry with an emphasis on Companion Animals, Wildlife Conservation and Ecology, Range Science, and Geology. Minor: Soils. The great outdoors will be my office, or a lab, I'm not picky.
It gives me a great reason to be inside on my days off and play video games and read.
That's one part of myself. Nice to meet you all!
 Hi Everyone!
Hi Everyone!I live in Edmonton, Alberta with my husband and 4 year old daughter. I go through phases when I read nothing but a specific author or genre, and that seems to be my MO since I was young. My Laurell K. Hamilton kick ended a couple of years ago, but I'm looking forward to re-reading the first Anita Blake book:)
It's nice to meet you all!
 Hi all,
Hi all,I'm an Aussie (NSW) and I'm an avid reader, and I write romance and erotica for a living(not sharing my pen name! :P).
I discovered this group from the youtube videos - after watching some writers panels on the channel I stumbled on the VF videos. I was pleased to say the least!
I love both reading and writing fantasy romance and historical romance. My favourite author along these lines might be Jaqueline Carey. I also love Joe Abercrombie and George R.R Martin (my guilty pleasure).
I have one child, three pet rats and two cats. Aside from writing I knit, weave and spin yarn, play an unsavoury amount of computer games and the ukulele.
I admit I don't always get a lot of time to read lately. I'm making it more of a priority now though!
At the moment I'm at a coffee shop taking a break/procrastinating about the story I'm working on.
There's a lot of stuff to read here but I'm sure I'll get through it eventually! I'd be interested in any Aussie hangouts, RL meets or online.
Looking forward to reading some of the stuff you guys have already read and participating in some discussion :)
