     Hey Everyone!
Hey Everyone! I'm Lisa aka LeeLee I'm 23 and from England.
I read pretty much all genres and surprisingly found myself really enjoy some standard chic lit books as well as VF type books.
During the day I am a Designer for a digital creative agency I've been doing this for a year now since I graduated with my BA and I love it, I have a lengthy commute between Manchester and Leeds everyday which means lots of time for books.
I've also started a blog ( which currently lacks in posts ) where I intend to eventually post some good books reviews and stuff.
I love watching the VF youtube hangouts, you can't be some books and wine!
 Hello People!,
Hello People!,I'm Nathan from the great state of Tennessee. I hold a BA in History and Humanities and I'm an avid reader of all things awesome. I'm really glad I joined, though I don't often post, because these types of books are under appreciated and having a place to discuss them is awesome.

 Hey there everybody!
Hey there everybody!I'm Mindy - a Portland, Oregon local who has been involved with an adaptation book club for the last three years (books/movie adaptations). We've been pretty successful, but that hasn't satisfied my book lust. I also commute mostly by public transit, which is the perfect time to be distracted.
January 2013 will be my first attempt at the Vaginal Fantasy book club. My spouse, after months of harassment to join, finally turned on the YouTube video of a hangout and I was instantly hooked. :)
Looking forward to having my horizons expanded with new reading materials, hilarious ladies and so on and so forth.
Thanks for having me!
Hi, everyone! I'm C. P. Foster (call me C, if you like), and I live in the Seattle area. I love to read, mostly Fantasy, Urban Fantasy and Detective, but plenty of other stuff, too. Lately I've been digging Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.I just finished Jim Butcher's latest Harry Dresden novel "Cold Days."

Nice meeting everyone, I look forward to hanging out here!
Hi, I'm Heatherlee- alot of people call me Shiny. I'm 34 and have always been a big reader. I fell in LOVE with the Vampire Diaries and Secret Circle by LJ Smith as they were coming out in the 90's. My first 'favorite' book ever was Dracula (I think the first time I read it I was 8 or 9)
Hi, I'm Heatherlee- alot of people call me Shiny. I'm 34 and have always been a big reader. I fell in LOVE with the Vampire Diaries and Secret Circle by LJ Smith as they were coming out in the 90's. My first 'favorite' book ever was Dracula (I think the first time I read it I was 8 or 9) My favorite author is Gaiman ( i love fantasy, sci fi, paranormal), and until recently I haven't read anything of the actual Romance genre (I take that back sort of- years ago a friend of mine had me read the Claiming of Sleeping Beauty series- and I did, and just kind of assumed that all 'those romance books' would be the same) and never went back to them (until I found the BDB books lol). I read alot of comics and graphic novels too:) -
Typically I game (WoW, Diablo, DC Universe- can't WAIT for Elder Scrolls Online!) and read. I am disabled (I have a genetic disorder called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I dislocate, I fall *alot*, I cry -half the time I'm in a wheelchair- lol I stay home and game (when my hands let me) and read all day - that is pretty much my life. My daughter has the same disorder I do (she's 9) and reads constantly and shares my love for fantasy books and comics (she read all 5 percy jackson books in a month lol) and my husband can usually be found on WoW or with a Star Wars book in hand.
I love vampire and fantasy novels, a sucker for anything set in space and will watch just about anything SciFi I can find on Netflix-over and over and over... I *tried* Twilight- like the movies OK was hoping the books were better-No Go, and I stumbled upon Goodreads and found the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward- geez I am hooked lol I've read the first 3 books in 4 days and am ON HOLD for the 4th book at my library. I also just started the 1st of the Virga Series by Karl Schroeder.
Looking for an alternative read after realizing not all romance was the same (I CAN have scifi/fantasy/paranormal and romance and it not be a crap read!), I found this group. and YAY. I think I can get into a book club that is Felicia Day approved.
Hello, I'm Lindsey. I'm 27, currently live in Virginia, and love to read (of course!). Epic Fantasy would probably be my favorite genre, but I'll pretty much read any Fantasy. I've been following Felicia Day and been a part of this group for awhile, but just now getting around to an introduction! I'm also a pc, xbox, ps3 (you name it) gamer. Shooters, RPG's, etc. For the most part I'm playing WoW and Borderlands 2 at the moment, but I've got so many games waiting in the wings for when I finally find the time to check them out. I'm also an avid movie-watcher, especially when I know that movie is based on a book =)

Greetings from Poland! I stumbled on VF while browsing YouTube.
Greetings from Poland! I stumbled on VF while browsing YouTube. I am writing an adult, low-magic fantasy book called "Shadyia: The Silver Thorn" and I am always looking for advice on books in this genre to enrich my writing skills.
Happy to be here!
Hi, I'm Lindsey. I'm an RN, recently married (met my hubby playing Warcraft..heh), and living in the DC area. I spend most of my time with my horse, gaming, and reading :) I've seen Felicia mention VF on Facebook, but haven't really looked into it until now, which was clearly silly. I've been wanting to join a book club for a while now, so here I am. Yay! I'm excited to get reading!

Hello I'm Kathy from the Pacific Northwest I just joined the group I was looking fwd to reading about authors who have written fantasy romance. Sorry to dash off in the middle of my intro. My wife just arrived home and supper was not quite ready. Tsk, how shameful..I mentioned this in my profie but i have to take a moment to blow my owh horn here. I just finished the first draft of a fantasy romance. I suppose it could qualify for a lesbian label as well, since a relationship does gradually develop between two of the women in the story.

message 300: by Paul (new) Dec 30, 2012 04:37pmHey, I'm Paul, I'm 32, and quite awesome :) and I don't read much, the last books I "read" were Harry Potter and The Inheritance Series... neither of which I actually read. I love hearing the narrators on the CDs (and I never had a problem pronouncing Hermione during the entire time I read the book :P)
I found vaginal fantasy group because I'm a non-stalker "fan" of Felicia (Though I do want to date her "avatar" i.e. I'm also a Celtic Woman fan and want to date their "avatar" too :P) and I periodically check up on what she's up to...
I'm a gamer and I've grown up on rpg's, especially ones by square (aka square enix for all you younger folks).
I'm totally straight and just love girls and understanding them :)
Episode 12 is the first episode I've gotten to watch, but I think I'll be watching the show from here on out .... perhaps even reading the books every once in a while and giving you my thoughts :)

Hello, my name is Ray. I just joined VF after mostly catching up on the hangouts I missed this last year. I've been a big fan of Felicia's for a while now and found this group while watching the Guild on Youtube.I'm starting to find out from watching this that there are an increasing number of things that Felicia and I think along the same lines about. So I thought that if there's books on here that she likes, then I'd probably like them a lot as well.
I spend a lot of time playing video games on both PC and Xbox. Some people would probably say too much time gaming. But last year I started trying to read more instead, and I'm hoping to make it a little more of a habit after joining this group.
By the way, I have to say it's kind of a dream of mine to maybe get to meet Felicia one day. I think I could die happy after hanging out for a day with her. (And I mean that in the most non creepy-stalker type way possible.)
I'm looking forward to more book suggestions and watching more hangouts in the future! Ta-Ta-For-Now!
I'm Melanie. I started reading fantasy in elementary school. The first fantasy book I tried to read was The Hobbit, but it was a bit above my skill level. It's still a hard read today, but I'm not sure it has a lot to do with my skill. I love it to bits though.

It's still a hard read today, but I'm not sure it has a lot to do with my skill. I love it to bits though. The first fantasy book I loved (and bought) was The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander. I remember the love parts, a head in a basket (?) and the raven. Oh and that I wanted to BE Eilonwy. I think I need to re-read as I had to fact check what I just said and I'm not sure about the head in a basket thing. I was horrified but wanted more.
I was addicted to fantasy. But the best part was that I was from a small town and everyone else didn't seem to realize that there was a lot of talk of love and sex. And so I continued...
I was so excited to hear about this book club that I watched all of the episodes that I could at once (I think about 1-4) and haven't had time to watch since. Until now! Am downloading Outlander and am hoping it's a quick read so I can watch the hangout and participate fully! If not...maybe next time. ;)
Heya! I'm Cayt, from Maryland, USA. I'm a big reader and I enjoy fantasy, science-fiction, and historical fiction. I am married with two cats and a fish. I work as a graphic designer and am attempting to be a writer as well. I also play a lot of RPGs.

I hope to meet cool people and talk about trashy books. :)
I'm Dusty, and I've always loved reading. I found out about VF from watching Felicia's channel, and this is a genre I have never tried. I really like trying new genres of books, and trying to find weird books to read (Finnegan's Wake did not work out though). I'm really happy to see communities about books on the Internet, and I look forward to discussing books with you guys.

Hey! It's nice to finally join the gang.I'm one of those who stumbled upon the youtube vids and proceeded to cackle my way through them. I'm still cackling my way through them and it might be a while before I catch up, but I caught my first live hangout today and REALLY WANTED TO JOIN YOU GUYS. OH MAN.
So yes. I did. Hello there.
I've never really read these books before and I'm really excited to dive on in. Looking forward to chatting with you this month!
Hello! I am so excited to finally join this group! I've watched some of the youtube hangouts, but never really had time to do the readings. I'm hoping to jump on board this month because the books seem quick enough that I can manage.

I'm hoping to jump on board this month because the books seem quick enough that I can manage.I am a Felicia Day/The Guild fan, which is how I found my way here. I am currently pursuing dual masters degrees (MAT in English and MA in English), so I've usually got so much reading to do for that it's hard to squeeze in book club stuff. I also happen to work in a library, so I'm basically all about books all the time. Expect to hear me shout at everyone about getting books from the library (because you totally should).
I also love drinking and talking about books and hanging out with really cool and smart ladies, so I'm pretty excited to be here.
Dame Margo checking in here from the Southern US where sweat tea is the ONLY drink. I love books with strong female characters so joining VF was an easy choice. I also saw the discussion threads on the Outlander series and knew then you are my kind of people.

Hi everyone! I'm Dee from Toronto, Canada. I live with my husband and 3 kitties and I shamelessly love a good smutty romance, and if you throw in a touch of the paranormal, sci fi, fantasy, kinky sex, HP Lovecraft or even shape-shifting dinosaurs (and a glass of wine!) I'm pretty much the happiest girl ever!

My favourite authors are Jacqueline Carey, Kelley Armstrong, Jim Butcher, Douglas Coupland, R. A. Salvatore and Neil Gaiman among others.
I get such a laugh watching the VagFan Hangouts and love the breadth within the selections - it's a great way to discover new authors/series! Can't wait to join in and discuss this month's selections! ♥!
 Hello,
Hello,I joined this group because it's the one that introduced me to Good Reads. I watch G&S shows all the time and finally started watching the VF hangout, mostly because I ran out of other stuff to watch. (sorry!) I like it though. I'm reading the current Main book title (quarter way through) to give this genre a try, but I don't think I'm going to be into these type books. Which may be normal since I'm a dude...
My taste is LoTR, Inheritance Series, The Hobbit, Shakespeare, Edgar A Poe, etc... That kind of runs over into the games I play, like Skyrim, Dishonored, Assassin's Creed, Hitman (though that's not set in the time period), and more.
Anyway, that's about it. If you wanna know anything else, just ask me. I'm an open book. HA, see what I did there?! Yeah... YEAH... *yeaaa, that was bad SMH...
Carpe Diem,
Aaron Michael
Been reading romance novels since my Grandmother threw one at me as a teen. I quickly branched out from the historical and westerns she had. I have watched episodes of Vaginal Fantasy on YouTube and I am excited to participate. Oh, and I score major points with the hubs for being in a book club with Felicia Day.

Hiya everybody! I'm Mathieu, I am 23 and live in Boise, Idaho. Like everybody, I saw a couple of the hangouts on Geek and Sundry, I thought they were too funny for words, and that I had to be a part of the fun. I usually read plain old Fantasy/Sci-fi books, but I have a secret for y'all: I love reading romance novels. I started reading them when my sister lent me a book that I thought was just a straight fantasy novel until the first sexy time scene. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the series, but they were awesome, and I have been reading romance ever since. I have never been to good reads, or even heard of it before I saw the videos, and I think that it is an amazing idea. It is like Netflicks instant queue meets books meets online book clubs, plus hilarious moderators who do half drunk video chats. I'm totally in, sign me up. I am looking forward to reading and discussing the books with everyone!

Hello - I'm Heather and fantastically 30! I'm currently living in DC, but hail from West Hartford, CT and am excited to join in on this fun and follow these 4 lovely ladies. Have been a long time fan/follower of Felicia Day, am incredibly excited to find and support Veronica, and am looking forward to what Bonnie and Kiala have in store for us as well.
I've only read 5 romance novels myself (all of which I've loved, my favorite was The Prisoner by Cheryl Reavis) and have limited knowledge to what is out there. I'm finding there is more than I even imagined. I'm catching up on previous months readings and hope to join in this month!
 She had me at Vaginal.
She had me at Vaginal.I was trolling the G&S website for new content after finishing the first season of Janitors In Space (fyi, awesome), and I came across Sword & Laser. The female host, Veronica, mentioned she was in another book club called Vaginal Fantasy. I stopped the video, did a search, and spent the rest of the weekend watching the first 12 episodes of the show.
I'm very excited to be in on the fun for Feb. -- especially the drinking and dressing up.
I enjoy Science Fiction (mostly dystopian futures with political undertones) and sex, so I'm sure I will have a great time reading along.
Cheers (y)
Hello, My name is Tiffany. I love science fiction and fantasy, but I've decided to finally branch out and read other genres of books besides the ones I love.

Hi there - I'm a huge fan of the hangouts!
Hi there - I'm a huge fan of the hangouts! I'm a 34 year old professional artist, originally from the sprawl of suburban America, but my home now is England. I live in a cottage with my beardy British husband, our naughty farm cat, a very un-eco friendly coal burning stove, and a second-hand spinning wheel.
...Oh, and piles of science fiction books & eurostyle boardgames. I also play a couple MMORPG's.
I'm a serial book-starter so I usually have 3-4 on the go. I generally read all genres except plain old fiction where nothing remotely magical or fantastical happens.
Hello, my name is Sarah. I found the VFH while watching The Guild on YouTube. I have always loved reading but at the grand old age of forty, I have never been part of a book group! I have really enjoyed following the discussion and thought it was time to jump in.

Hello everyone. I joined this group because, according to goodreads, my 'to read' list has much in common with collective you. I mostly read urban fantasy these days. I do read swords and horses and sorcery stuff. And I've been meaning to flex my space and future-tech muscles more this year. I hope I can hang with the smutty stuff. I am really quite a prude, and sentences with phrases like 'pleased little moan' make me utterly cringe. I will buck-up and do my best though. Especially if the alternate book pick this month is Pleasure Unbound!

Hello, I'm wicked excited to have joined GR. I did it mostly to follow the VF conversation after getting hooked into the Youtube videos. I used to primarily read fantasy/scifi/horror with some more romance heavy favs in those genres.
I've never been a member of a community of readers before so I'm really looking forward to checking out what people are into and thinking. I miss having in depth conversations about favorite books and charcaters as I've moved away from my close friends.
Thank you for your time.

Heya I'm Andrea and reading is a big passion of mine. I joined the thread after watching the youtube series, which I greatly enjoy. I think reading is one of the things in my life I spend the most money on along with movies. :)
I also love playing games (WoW, D3, Skyrim, DMC etc), cats, music, sleeping and such.
I tend to read a bunch of different genres but I seem to end up with VF books a lot. :)

 Hey everyone,
Hey everyone,My name is Lissa and I just joined last night. I've been a longtime fan of Felicia's work (The Guild, The Flog, etc.) and thought it would be fun to read some VF books, meet some people, etc. I'm from Tacoma, married (husband loves Geek & Sundry, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Guild...), work as a graphic designer (when I can get work!), love to bake, crochet, and do other crafty stuff. Looking forward to reading along with everyone!
 Hi Everyone!
Hi Everyone!I'm new to the group, my name is Stephanie and I'm really excited for March's read! I am also a long time fan of Felicia's and just discovered this group last month, so I'm getting caught up on all of the old videos. I love to read just about anything, but I find that most book clubs tend to pick books not quite to my liking, so I was happy to find a group with the genre of books I love!
I'm currently reading Kushiel's Dart since I saw it was a pick last year and I had looked at it a couple of times. I also love to knit and drink tea. You'd think I'm 80, but I swear I'm not :p

 Hello all!
Hello all!I'm Anna and I've always loved reading. I read pretty much everything, romance or Russian classics, if the book is good, it's good. I joined the group because it sounded interesting and I'm a bit of a fangirl when it comes to Felicia Day :)
I was wondering about something: I actually read the alternative book for January and was wondering if there's a video about that? The Outlander video showed the beginning of the discussion, but cut it after a few minutes. I'd really like to see this discussion, since it was the book I actually read :) Or are they just not published?
Hello! I'm Val, 27, from Italy. I've been a member of this group for a while, and I've tried keeping up with the books when I could, but life's a bitch so it's only now that I've come around to introducing myself... I feel terrible! So, hi everyone, this was my first group here on GR and you'll always have the place of honour in my heart :D happy reading!

Hello! I'm Cara, pretty much 30, living in Pennsylvania. I don't leave the house without a book in my purse, because what if the car breaks down, and I don't have anything to read? Tragedy! Unless the book is Wuthering Heights, because I refuse to read that again. Ever.

Unless the book is Wuthering Heights, because I refuse to read that again. Ever.I'd say I prefer fantasy to sci-fi, and modern urban to high fantasy. Kelley Armstrong, Neil Gaiman, Kim Harrison, Terry Pratchett. I've read all of A Song Of Ice and Fire up to date, but I am guilty of skipping POVs that I'm not into. Sorry, Jon and Dany.
I play World of Warcraft and dabble in Guild Wars 2. Oh, and I used to post on the Chicklit forums (not focused on the Chick Lit genre) and lurk on the Television Without Pity boards.

I have been a member and following posts for a while but I never introduced myself. My name is Becca. I am almost 33 and live in Austin, TX. I am such a huge Felicia Day fan and I found out about VF from something of hers I was watching. I also play WoW (not as much now) and other video games. I love fantasy books and sexy time books and I had no idea you could have both in the same book. I don't read the books every month; it depends on how much school work I have to do. I love all 4 girls now so much! It is hard to find geeky friends that are also sophisticated and intelligent, plus super fun and dirty and play video games. They are lucky to have found each other I love to be able to feel like a part of their discussions.

     Hi! *waves*
Hi! *waves*My name is Maddy, I'm 26 years old, and I've been following this group and Sword and Laser for a couple months. I have not, however, introduced myself or participated in the club. I recently decided to get in on it. I just requested next months books from the library.
So.... that's me. I like romance, paranormal, historical, and girly fiction. If you want an idea of the range of my tastes, go to www.gurulib.org/minesayrejoice. I use that site to display the books I have read, own, and want to read. That site also deals with other media, links you directly to the Amazon page (if you want to buy it), and tells you whether or not a library near you has the item.
Hello ! I'm France, nearly 26, from Belgium. I used to read a lot (mainly sci-fi) before going to university and ending up reading scholar books only. A few weeks ago, I discovered VF on Youtube, and I thought "Why not ?". I haven't read a lot of sexy books before, but I liked them, and I'm happy to try more ! I enjoy nearly all book genres, but especially scifi, fantasy, and classics like Gone with the Wind, Wuthering Heights, The Picture of Dorian Gray, ... I'm looking forward to read this month books :D

I don't know where else to post this but I think it's important.
I don't know where else to post this but I think it's important. This post is NOT to promote my own books. Smashwords (http://www.Smashwords.com) is having a promotional event called Read an Ebook Week, March 3 - 9. When I last looked 3,004 books were available at deals like 50%, 75% and many are even FREE. Mine are in there too of course. You can browse the list or if you know the author and book you want, go to her book page and you will get a discount for the book to get it cheap or free this week only. Don't miss out! You snooze you lose.
Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce myself and get to know the group better. I found out about VF when a facebook friend posted a link and since I've recently become quite addicted to paranormal romance, it was a wonderful surpise to find such enthusiastic and intelligent discussion of the genre, and its related genres. The idea of vaginal fantasy and what the term implies, for me anyhow, in terms of empowering us as readers and reclaiming a sadly much maligned genre for thoughtful, smart women (and men!)is very exciting!

Hi! I'm Sapphire. I joined last week. One of the author's I follow on FB recommended this group. I'm lovin it! There's so much to explore.Anyways, I'm 23 and my hubby is in the USAF. We're stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and he is deployed, so I have tons of time to read. I read mostly paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I love Larissa Ione, Adrian Phoenix, Richelle Mead, and Jill Myles. I want to start into other romance genres and just bought Kushiel's Dart thanks to a discussion thread I found on here. Luckily the hubby doesn't track how much I spend on books.
Hello! I'm Kelsey I turned 25 in February. I recently learned about this group thanks to ECCC! I have been reading Romance books since high school, my first series was "The Dark" Series by Christine Feehan. I am currently really into Larissa Ione books; I was excited to see that the book for this month was one she had written. I have been telling all my other "Naughty Vampire Books" friends about this group and that there are more just like us.

On an off note I am excited for International Table Top Day because I will be at the ocean and I have plans of playing "Settlers of Catan" in the West Coast Sand!
So excited! SQUEEEEEEE!
Hi Everyone I am Hannah, I also just turned 25 in Feb! I stumbled upon this group after watching some of the videos on youtube. I like to watch them when I'm working on my art. I'm an illustrator and a comic artist.

I'm an illustrator and a comic artist.I haven't been reading as much as I usually do recently so hopefully taking part in this book club will re-inspire the reader in me. I have a preference for epic fantasy type books, one of my favorite authors is David Gemmell, but keep finding myself reading more and more romance as I have grown out of my teenage years.
I have my kindle armed and ready and bought myself one of the books for this month in my enthusiasm! Enjoying it so far. Looking forward to participating through the other months and getting to know other book readers.
