re 174, it was a bit unwieldy to search for the books you've listed here, so i just went through and manually checked the pub date of each. i got through all of page one and some of two before i started getting page loading errors. not sure if it's my end or goodreads, but i've had to stop for now.

You didn't miss any, but did you remove books that weren't listed in message 174? I try to leave a note behind to let the list followers know that their book has been released and removed. Just want to check so I can leave a general note that books were removed.... don't need a specific list.

Sometimes librarians will defer to the list creator, sometimes they will just go in and do edits themselves. I guess the more important question is, are the deletions correct or incorrect? If the deletions are correct, does it still bother you? You could always message the librarian and ask him or her to stop because you prefer to curate the list.

A Listopia list does not belong to the list creator, though they are certainly welcome to help moderate it. Any librarian is allowed to remove books from a list IF AND ONLY IF they do not follow the list's original guidelines.

I would add that since the list in question is one with a constantly moving goal post (not yet having been published), there will frequently be books needing removal, and as long as any librarian is careful to only remove the correct ones, it should be a good thing to have one helping.

Many list starters take on the responsibility of maintaining lists they have started, and as long as they follow the rules, I think that is also a good thing. Especially one like this which must need a lot of updating.

On the List 'Best Running Fiction', there are four books that do not appear to meet the purpose of the list. Reviewing the descriptions suggests they are completely unrelated to the sport of running. They are:

The author is not a member of the book club, and posted a book she wrote. So to me it does not meet the description.

Regarding the spam votes on Fate Twister you could either send a message to support or just do what a lot of members do and remember (or record) which authors encourage obviously fake voting and never touch any of their books or their 'friends' books.

This book (Fate Twister) is on 14 lists and several are also for nonfiction, as far as I can tell. So perhaps it shouldn't be on those either? The comments above piqued my curiosity.
