#402 done but You didn't mention Fallen Crest Family, page 3. Leave or stay? (you deleted a lot that started with Fallen Crest, just not that one)

I would extremely appreciate it if my account was no longer associated with it. You all were very helpful already with my problems with it & was hoping for this one last thing.
I changed the Description a good while ago. Not the current one, but the one before the current one, for a good while... I tried by creating a new long, detailed, specific rules but also focus on keeping a wide range of vagueness to allow for any Sci-Fi/Fantasy that includes good bit of Humor/Light Hearted Story. Didn't work really though unfortunately. Simply the Description became a Description-In-Name-Only. & books weren't going to be removed based on the new rules;'\
So couple days ago to prepare hopefully leaving the list & moving away from it fully... I deleted all my votes, I tweaked the Name & I tweaked the description, both to properly suit how the list now for the most part is. Could easily be expanded by a new owner for sure.
And want to stress; I totally understand why books couldn't be removed based on the rules & everything. Total respect there. People added many books a while ago & it was I who messed up & didn't of course pay attention to it for a long time... & the List really moved beyond me LoL. Seriously... Totally cool with everything for how it went, 100%, LoL I am the one who caused it for starters when I dropped the ball for good long time which allowed the list to become something else... It's on me. What I've been just doing us simply just doing was recapping everything, but don't want it to come out passive aggressive or anything LoL.
It simply comes down to...: The List is not something I want to have any connection to Unofficially &/Or Official really. Cut Ties to it Publically &/Or Privately. Of course I don't want it deleted because there are people who seem to enjoy it. & if someone else wants to have ownership of the list, they are very welcome to it! So if anyone can remove my Public & Private connections (not sure how much people can see, I really not want any association with it whatsoever). I greatly appreciate any help. Hope I'm not bothering too much. & thank you for your time people!

I know we can easily move books around but I don't think we can remove your link to that list. I'm only a regular librarian and I looked at all the things we can do to lists and I didn't see anything. Hopefully someone will give you a definitive answer soon.
What happens if he deletes his profile, would the list stay with "deleted member" as the creator of the list?
Edit: link to list so don't have to back read https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...

Thank you so much !
Yes that one goes too, I must not have noticed that instalment on the listopia. In general that series or any book by that author so far are not a fit for the list criteria.
Thanks again...

Thanks Corinne for your advice & help! Ill do anything needed to get this doen, includiing delelting this member. ill do as you said and wait to see what others say for a dfinitive answer... thanks!

Isn't that what GR shelves are for? :))
(not sure if I am able to delete that ... didn't deal with deleting whole lists until now)

Has 2 entries for the following books:
Code Name Verity
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet

Cozy Mystery Series says "FIRST in the series only" and "In case you are confused about first, that means only the FIRST book in the series. NO OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES SHOULD BE ADDED. "
These are not the first in series:
Takedown Twenty
Pride and Prejudice (It's also not a cozy mystery)
The Daughter of Time
Murder Carries a Torch
Pages of Sin
Murder on the Orient Express
A Cast-Off Coven
Crunch Time
Murder in the Dark
Betrayal of Trust
The Cat Who Lived High
Dead Bolt
Stake & Eggs
Visions of Sugar Plums
Murder at Sea of Passenger X
Due or Die
The Undomestic Goddess (also not a cozy mystery)
Killer Physique
To Hell in a Handbasket
Strategic Moves
Kidnapped in Paradise

Killer Honeymoon
Strawberry Shortcake Murder
Cat on the Scent

Lowcountry Bordello
Lowcountry Boneyard
Doing Hard Time
Unintended Consequences
The Witch Is Dead
The Trouble With Witches
Going, Going, Ganache
Charmed to Death
The above are on pages 3-5 of the list. Can a librarian also look at the remaining pages, or should I continue posting titles? (Except for the two which I also mentioned weren't mysteries, I found these because they have the series and number in parentheses on the list.)
msg 416 i/p https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
You don't need to keep listing each book because as you said it's obvious when it's not #1 in a series but please continue to list ones that shouldn't be on the list that are #1
I worked my way backwards and deleted a bunch but taking a break if anyone else wants to jump in. There are a lot, 9 pages! I also deleted the two she identified as not a cozy mystery.

Thanks Corinne!
There are some mysteries on the list that I don't consider as cozy, but I didn't create the list so I don't feel comfortable making that decision. I'm concentrating on the first in series issue (and really obvious misfits - Pride and Prejudice is not a mystery!)
I went back through, looking at the titles that don't have a series included on the listopia page.
These have series info on the book page and are not #1:
Paws for Death (#2)
Invitation to Die (#3)
Murder on the Orient Express (#10)
Mojado: A Navajo Nation Mystery (#4)
Stone Cold Christmas (not in a GR series but two reviews say this is the third in the Pelican Chronicle series)
Snarky Park: A Bertie Mallowan Mystery (not in a GR series, but Trashy Chic: A Bertie Mallowan Mystery is also on list and has earlier publication date)
Big Mojo (#3)
Ancient Blood: A Navajo Nation Mystery (#3)
The Sound of Thunder / Cry Wolf (Omnibus: Sound of Thunder is #2 in series, Cry Wolf is not in series)
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (#4)
The Fashion Hound Murders (#5)
Grinning in His Mashed Potatoes (#2)
Days of Wine and Roquefort (#5)
Clobbered by Camembert (#3)
Fixing to Die (#9)
To Brie or Not to Brie (#4)
Arsenic and Old Cake (#3)
Cake on a Hot Tin Roof (#2)
As Gouda as Dead (#6)
Christmas Collection (four short stories: #3 and #11 of one series, #4 of a different series, and one not mentioning series)
These don't appear to be part of a series:
A New Life
Gumshoe Goddess and the Catskill Caper
Stage Business
The Serenity Stone Murder
Zero Is the Key
Transformed Into A Dog
Clementine's Shadow
Codename: Chimera
Child of Paradise: Listen to Your Dreams
Dead Comic Standing
Sister Dear
Chasing Fire
Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
Charlotte
Blue Smoke
The Claw
Lovers All Untrue
Garden Plot
These are not shelved as mystery and don't have anything in the description indicating mystery:
Crown Jewel
Fi5th Assasin
Your Consciousness Is an Alien #1
Short Scary Story 2: My Best Friend's Mother
All The Voices In My Head
The Angry Woman Suite
The Dog and The Girl
Short Scary Story: The Crazy Woman
Bring A Cowboy Home
Chasing Christmas Past: An Airship Racing Chronicles Short Story
Him Downstairs
Medieval Intrigue: Decoding Royal Conspiracies
Crooked Lines
Christmas on Wherever Island
The Cat That God Sent
Mad About You

-Wow that was a huge mess. So many books that weren't #1 and lots that weren't a mystery
-I looked at all of them and added series info to title to show they were #1 if applicable (there is one .05) Many were #1 but weren't showing they were.
-All that is left (as of 11/5/17) has mystery in title, in the series info, or has been shelved as mystery.
-All that is left isn't necessarily "cozy mystery" that will be up to users to prove. When you report, you must prove how the book doesn't match list description. Not all of us are familiar with "cozy mysteries" but if you explain how it's wrong we will be hopefully will be convinced and will remove from this list.
-I learned alot about Cozy Mysteries - Often they have animals (Jack the Nipper (cat)), or food (Easy Bake Coven, Pies and Prejudice). LOL :)
Julia you did a great job, you should apply to be a librarian. I will add a msg on the list asking users to let us know here if they find any that shouldn't be included. This and all Lists need babysitting.

Upon a Wicked Time by Karen Ranney was added and I got my hands on a copy to make sure it fit the bill and it doesn't at all - there are no emotionally charged scenes as this list description advertises and just glosses over things. (The list description itself literally begs voters to vote for existing books and give suggestions via comment so I can make sure they fit -- but someone added it themselves.) I myself have stopped using certain lists after being steered wrong so I try to make sure the content is legit! Thank you!!

In the future it would be ideal for you to list what # they were when you made your request. (Edit: Actually the list was less than 100 and didn't over spill to another page so they were easy to find)

Can someone please remove the books that were published in previous years? The whole point of the list was to avoid it being overcrowded with older books:-)
Here was a list of inappropriate books added:
Accacia's Blood: A reverse harem novel (Sisters of Hex Book 2)- expected publication Jan 2018
Charcoal Tears (Seraph Black, #1
Watercolour Smile (Seraph Black, #2
Lead Heart (Seraph Black, #3
Thank you!

I removed Accacia's Blood
The Seraph Black series looks like it was re-released in 2017, it would explain why users added them to the list. Not sure if that qualifies them though.

Last time needing help if anyone wants to. I dont want to bother anyone so cool if not. I created a new List and curious / wondering if it be possible if you guys could let me know if you... think the name, description, books, and reasons I gave for some fo the books... are okay?
Basically I wanted to created Comedy Sci Fi & Fantasy List.
I wanted to be flexiable where if its considered Funny... And is about Science Fiction & Fantasy. Even NF are okay, for Example those Survival Handbooks because funny & focuses on Sci Fi & /or Fantasy topics.
So I put the description and included rules that while pretty specific, its only to make sure books that don't belong / a Conflict arises... There would allow for option to come here to discuss removal. Not really about people adding books, IMO common sense is good enough for that.
... But I wasn't sure if that approach is okay so big reason Im posting here. Making sure everything holds up.
NAME: Hilarious Science Fiction & Fantasy !
LINK: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
EDIT: forgot to mention.. Im just ignoring my first list... just letting it be on its own for good. Thats why im doing this new list

For not being published originally in 2018 or for being YA.
Thank you!
A Court of Frost and Starlight - YA
The judge's wife
Sunday Silence: A Novel
Anatomy of a Scandal: A Novel
Phone
Sugar Money
The President's Gardens

Brianna, I did most of them but from what I can tell, Sunday Silence and Anatomy of a Scandal fit?

If the books you voted for have all been removed, the votes should be gone too. Although it could take a couple days to update, due to site caching.
If you need more assistance with this, it's not something Goodreads Librarians can assist you with, so you may wish to use the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues.

Thank you rivka for your answer and for the link to the Help page. All the titles I voted for were removed in November, so it looks like I'll be listed as a voter indefinitely. I'll send a request for more information, to see if I can be removed from the lists. I appreciate your help.

The whole point of the list is to add pocket-sized hardcover poetry books that were published by Everyman Library. The book I wanted to be removed clearly does not belong in the collection, as can be seen here http://www.randomhouse.com/knopf/clas...
Thanks in advance!

It appears to be added by the author to multiple inappropriate lists as an act of self-promotion.

#436 done!

Can someone remove the following books:
The Zoo - 2017
How to Stop Time - 2017
Season of Blood - 2017
American Stranger - 2011
The President's Gardens - 2017
Phone - 2017
The Day She Disappeared - 2017
Sugar Money - 2017
Green - YA
My Name Is Venus Black -YA
Also not sure if it is possible to combine editions but there are duplicates that it would be great if they could be combined on the list:
White Houses
The Grave's a Fine and Private Place
Thanks in advance

The duplicates are also combined.

https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
The list description is:
"Just books on the scratch off poster: https://www.amazon.com/Gift-Republic-... Please don't add books."
There are 41 books that a couple of users have already added that aren't on the referenced scratch-off poster. While some are nice books they don't fit the purpose of this list.
Books that don't qualify:
12. Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman
17. Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio
19. The Mists of Avalon (Avalon, #1) by Marion Zimmer Bradley
21. Dune by Frank Herbert
23. Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
26. Myths and Symbols in Pagan Europe: Early Scandinavian and Celtic Religions by Hilda Roderick Ellis Davidson
28. The Languages of Tolkien's Middle-Earth by Ruth S. Noel
30. Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-Earth by J.R.R. Tolkien

91. Lab Girl by Hope Jahren
93. Folklore and Symbolism of Flowers, Plants and Trees by Ernst Lehner

And after the list is corrected you could ask a super librarian to make the list static - that means others can't add or vote on it anymore

Could someone please remove "Sorry Wrong Number" #37 from the Best American Short Story List?
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
I can't find anywhere that this is a short story - a play yes - and apparently this novel.
Thanks

No historical on the list.

Thank you

At number 1 and 2 on my list, there is the same book with 13 ratings and apparently 9 votes combined. The title is "The Warner Loughlin Technique: An Acting Revolution".
It fits technically with the theme but I would prefer to be removed (at least that one copy) because it is an obvious hack.
If you know how to report it to Goodreads that would be helpful too (although I haven't got much luck with contacting them before).
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
While we are at it, can you also remove the "Homemade Shampoo" book (#9)?
Thank you in advance!

If you have legal concerns about the record you can contact GR staff either via contact form (click on the grey "help" on the bottom of every page and there's the link) or via email at: support at goodreads dot com
If that shampoo book is written by a woman it would fit your list as it seems to be non fictional - unfortunately the GR author profile doesn't provide much information about the author :/

Thanks in advance.
