Hi Carla!
Thanks for the great pics. I am going to try to read two this month. I'm debating between Jane Eyre, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Very Valentine. I'll let you know what I decide.
I hope that you are enjoying your picks!

HI K J, you are supposed to pick for the person at the top of 'F' group - that is - Amy J . The tick means that the person has given their picks, not received their picks.

Irina (reetu_416) | 504 comments Picks For Penney

From their TBR/new to them

1. The Biggest Loser - recommend a long book from their TBR
You seem to be an obvious fan of Susan Elizabeth Phillips.. as am I, she’s just simply marvelous! So my pick for you is Call me irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

2. Modern Family - recommend a contemporary/ or a book featuring an alternate lifestyle - ]
Jinxed by Inez Kelly . Here is a book I haven’t been able to get out of my mind since the day I read it. Hope you like it too!

3. Channel Surfer - recommend an anthology, a book of short stories, or a short book of their TBR (for those of us with really short attention spans.
Here’s a short book from your TBR which seemed steamy to me He’s so shy by Lena Matthews .

From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - in honor of one of the longest running series on TV, recommend a new to them series that you have read and enjoyed –
Nora Roberts is and forever will be my favourite author no matter how many amazing books I read.. She loves writing series my favourite one of them all would be the Macgregor series. It all starts with Playing with the odds .. I went through this series like an addict it was all I thought about all day long.. Hope I haven’t scared you and that you read them :P

5. Dancing with the Stars - recommend a book that is out of your partners comfort zone
Noticed you don’t have any Fantasy/ Magic with a combo of Chick Lit so I am suggesting you Completely Smitten by Kristine Grayson..

6. That's So Raven - recommend a YA or a book where a child/ren play a significant role
I am not too big on Young Adult books but Meg Cabot is one author whose books I’ve always enjoyed though not all her books are young adult the Mediator series is. So Shadowland the first book of the series.

Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race - recommend a book in a country you would love to visit in the future..
I would love to visit Paris the city of Love and of course the lovely Eiffel Tower so here is a book set in Paris.. Paris Hangover by Kirsten Lobe , which I am really looking forward to read

8. My Favorite Channel is... Star Movies.. so I am going to suggest to you a romance novel which has been converted to a movie. I am a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks with him you can never predict if it’ll be a happy or sad ending, very classy but epic book you might have heard of before The Notebook .
I keep reading this book on and off so, I guess that makes it a buddy read.. for me I can never read this book too many times.
Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Jinxed by Inez Kelley He's So Shy (Bad Boys, #1) by Lena Matthews Playing The Odds (MacGregors #1) (Language of Love #12 - Hyacinth) by Nora Roberts Completely Smitten by Kristine Grayson Shadowland (The Mediator, #1) by Meg Cabot Paris Hangover by Kirsten Lobe The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Thanks Moviemavengal

I'm sure I'm going to read more than one and luckily I have a few of these already. - I love Elizabeth Lowell and Jennifer Crusie but can't get these for the kindle in the UK so I might have to splash out and buy the books instead.

I've been meaning to read A Game of Thrones for ages - I love the Wheel of Time and Sword of Truth series so this should be perfect and I already have this as well as the Sue Grafton and Charlaine Harris books.

Looks like November's taken care of.

From Their TBR/New To Them

1. The Biggest Loser - Recommend a long book from their TBR:
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon: I loved this book, even though it was extremely long! It’s a historical romance but it has some time travel mixed into the storyline.

2. Modern Family - recommend a contemporary/ or a book featuring an alternate lifestyle:
The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen:
I wish Sarah Addison Allen would write books as often as James Patterson, I can never get enough of her stuff! My favorite is the Sugar Queen by far, but I’m a candy-holic 

3. Channel Surfer - Recommend an anthology, a book of short stories, or a short book of their TBR (for those of us with really short attention spans):
Out of this WorldJ.D. Robb: I’m not a big fan of anthology’s so I picked this one off your TBR list. I can’t read books out of order, especially short stories. So I start an anthology and then realize I’m reading book 3.5 in a series I’ve never read before and then I get irritated.

From Your Read

4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - in honor of one of the longest running series on TV, recommend a new to them series that you have read and enjoyed:
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison: This series cracks me up! Very funny!

5. Dancing with the Stars - recommend a book that is out of your partners comfort zone:
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card: This book is not a romance but it is a classic sci-fi novel. It blew my mind when I read it!

6. That's So Raven - recommend a YA or a book where a child/ren play a significant role:
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins: Ack! You haven’t read book 2?! Book 2 was my favorite!

Buddy Reads (I’m currently taking classes at the moment, so I won’t be able to do a buddy read)

7. The Amazing Race - recommend a book in a country you would love to visit in the future:
Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning: I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland. I have this dream that one day my best friend and I will get to go to Ireland and get drunk in an actual Irish bar. Real Guiness with real shepards pie, yummm….

8. My Favorite Channel is... - recommend a book that relates in some way to your favorite TV channel:
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman: My favorite channel was the Sci-Fi channel when we had cable. I wished I had a chance to watch the TV version of Neverwhere, but I’ll have to see if it’s on Netflix or at the library!

Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen Out of this World (Includes In Death, #12.5; Immortal Witches, #4) by J.D. Robb Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison Ender's Game (Ender's Saga, #1) by Orson Scott Card Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

1. The Biggest Loser -

For this month I guess I'll try The Host and Garden spells for it's the second time you recommend this latter to me, and last time I didn't find it at the library, but now my request was answered and I've got the book whew at last! :)
I'm also up to the buddy read The Girl with the dragon Tattoo and I'm wondering which date is good for you? for me it could be or at the beginning of the month or toward its end.

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Lili,

Sorry for it being late...but here you go! Hope you find something you like...if not let me know and I will try again! Happy Reading!!

From your TBR
1. The biggest loser: It is you longest book on your shelf-Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
2. Modern Family: Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis. This one looks good...so good that it is going on my TBR!
3. Channel Surfer: Unbelievable (Fantasy/Tantalizing) by Lori Foster. She is one of my favorite authors....and this one is another one going in my TBR!!
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis Unbelievable (Fantasy/Tantalizing) (Hqn) by Lori Foster

From my read
4. Law & Order: Lori Foster's SBC series starting with Causing Havoc. I loved this series....well I am also a big UFC fan too! Or Sarah Maclean's Love By Numbers series starting with Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake-like this series a lot also!
5. Dancing with the stars: So much variety in your shelves that I was not sure what your "out of comfort zone" is. But Troublesome Creek by Jan Watson is a good start to a good Christian Fiction series.
6. Thats so raven: Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. Really good book that has romance and mystery with a couple of children playing an active role in it.
Causing Havoc (SBC Fighters, #1) by Lori Foster Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers #1) by Sarah MacLean Troublesome Creek by Jan Watson Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

Buddy Reads
7. The amazing race: I would love to visit England-When Harry Met Molly by Kieran Kramer
8. Favorite channel: I watch all different channels so I chose a book that somewhat relates to one of my favorite shows this season "Once Upon a Time"-Awakened by a Kiss by Lila Dipasqua.
When Harry Met Molly (Impossible Bachelors, #1) by Kieran Kramer Awakened by a Kiss by Lila DiPasqua

**Let me know about the buddy reads. I might be able to do one, but would have to have time to request them from the library.

message 420: by KJ Shadows (new)

KJ Shadows (kjshadows) | 20 comments Dear Amy Jay,
Sorry it took me awhile to figure out who I was picking for! Was kinda confusing this month for me...hah. Well here are my picks. If you don't like them I can always re-pick :) Let me know. We have a lot of different tastes.

1. The Biggest Loser - I picked this one because it has been sitting in your TBR shelf for awhile and I've actually read it! Believe it or not it wasn't that bad. While some people say its like twilight, it is MUCH more creative and better. I liked the first book best. It could stand alone. Evermore by Alyson Noel. Deals with a pyschic girl and her family dieing and all kinds of creepy things.

2. Modern Family - Violet Midnight by Allie Burke. I haven't read this one but it looked interesting in your pile. I figured a "normal" girl in california would be considered contemporary but I think there might be a hint of paranormal in it. But it looks really fun and was the best match I could come up with :) I mean people scared of trees? sounds freakin awesome.

3. Channel Surfer - The Princess & the Penis Yeah...there isn't really much to say except it sounds hilarious & its completely free. Infact you can read it on your computer or download it on your ebook from the link.

From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - Divergent by Veronica Roth. First of the series. If your a fan of dystopian book this is a super +. I really enjoyed it and was a fun read! Also great if you want to try something new & its out of your comfort zones. The world is amazing and really makes you think.

5. Dancing with the Stars - Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. If you enjoyed Vampire Academy, reading bloodlines is kinda fun even though I didn't really enjoy the book as much as VA. VA is way better however its great to see some of the characters in this story also Adrian who is hilarious throughout the entire book.

6. That's So Raven - A Monster Calls by Siobhan Dowd/Patrick Ness. It's actually middle-grade/children's book but don't let that fool you. This will be a timeless CLASSIC! One I highly recommend adults reading. To some in may seem sad, but in reality it is beautifully written and so inspirational. One that I can see myself recommending a lot now, don't even think about it just go get the book asap lol. It's words and pictures are powerful, I was greately moved by it.

Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race - Wolf Tower by Tanith Lee. I know I've recommended it before but even though the world is NOT real I've always wanted to go to the city with clockwork people. I mean how cool is THAT? NOTHING competes with her world in this story. Ever.

8. My Favorite Channel is... - The Initiation and The Captive, Part I by LJ Smith. I watch Vampire Diaries & Secret Circle! Love them both. Read this book and it reminded me of THE CRAFT. If you watched that in the 90's you are officially cool. I love witches and its a good one on the subject of the old fashioned kind.

**Buddy Reads - I actually WONT be able to do buddy reads most likely because I'll be in Mexico for a week and making up hours at work after that. Fun Fun. But I provided a list anyways as stated.

Evermore (The Immortals, #1) by Alyson Noel Violet Midnight (The Enchanters, #1) by Allie Burke The Princess & the Penis by R.J. Silver Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness Wolf Tower (Claidi Journals, #1) by Tanith Lee The Initiation and The Captive, Part I (The Secret Circle, #1-2) by L.J. Smith

Thanks for your picks! There are several books that I'd like to read.

I'd love to read Bloodlines, but I don't think that it's going to happen this month. I'm on my library's wait list for the ebook. I don't think it will be my turn until December. If I get it earlier, I'll definitely read it.

Alyssa (jynx66) | 52 comments Wow! So sorry, Moviemavengal, been going through a lot lately and totally forgot about this! Ok....here are my recs...

1. The Biggest Loser - I'd say
Unraveled (Intertwined, #2) by Gena Showalter cause I adore her books and it's one of the longer books on your list.

2. Modern Family - hmm....how about Lucky Break (Lucky Trilogy, #3) by Carly Phillips . Looks cute enough. XD

3. Channel Surfer - ooh! how about Burning Up (Includes Iron Seas, #0.5; Children of the Sea, #3.5; Psy-Changeling #8.5) by Angela Knight . I like Angela Knight and Nalini Singh! ^__^

From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - oh I so know this one!!! DEFINITELY try Jennifer Lyons' Wing Slayer Hunters series ( Blood Magic (Wing Slayer Hunters, #1) by Jennifer Lyon is the first book) or Pamela Clare's I-Team series, ( Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare being the first book.) I love both series!

5. Dancing with the Stars - erm...um....maybe Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft ? It's erotica. -shrug- I really have no clue here... =/

6. That's So Raven - I've always liked Hawksong (The Kiesha'ra, #1) by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. One of the first YA books I picked up and I still enjoy it.

Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race - honestly i couldn't find a book that fit this category, so i decided to take a book from a place I've been that I enjoyed greatly. The Seducer (Seducers #1) by Madeline Hunter is a book I have been wanting to read as well. I'm up for it if you are.

8. My Favorite Channel is... - I watch all sorts of paranormal and scifi shows all the time, so I am definitely up for reading either Hotter After Midnight (Midnight, #1) by Cynthia Eden or Covet (The Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward . Both sound really good to me.

I hope you like my recs! Let me know if i need to go back and redo them! Happy Reading!

From your TBR

1. The Biggest Loser~

This is more of a Adams family instead of Modern Family, but it is good and there are some laughs.
