Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments Hi Kami,
We have so many books in common on our TBR lists that it was hard to narrow these picks to just one on each. I also found some more to add to my own TBR list from yours. Like I needed more. LOL

Hope you like your picks.

From their TBR/new to them

1. The Biggest Loser - A Storm of Swords A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire #3, Part 1 of 2) by George R.R. Martin - I noticed you really liked the first two of this series. I have not read them personally but I have quite few friends who have and love them.

2. Modern Family - if you want to try a really good contemporary/slightly paranormal book try Garden Spells Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen . I absolutely loved this book.

3. Channel Surfer - If you like anthologies try Bite Bite by Laurell K. Hamilton . Or if you would prefer a short story try: My Soul to Lose My Soul to Lose by Rachel Vincent This was a great beginning to this series and helps add some background to the story.

From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - I noticed you have this on your TBR list and this is a series I really love. Something from the Nightside Something from the Nightside (Nightside, #1) by Simon R. Green

5. Dancing with the Stars - I noticed you don't have many sappy romances on your TBR list so here is my favorite guilty pleasure: Message in a Bottle Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks

6. That's So Raven - The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King this book features a young girl lost in a forest. I'm not usually an avid Stephen King fan but I really loved this one.

Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race - Clockwork Angel Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare I would love to visit London, England and would love to a buddy read on this book too.

8. My Favorite Channel is... Based on my love of True Blood TV show and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well I picked All Together Dead All Together Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #7) by Charlaine Harris - It looked like this was the book you were up to in that series as I am as well and would love to do a buddy read on this.

Thanks Polina, hard choices on what to start first! I have both Redeeming Love and Les Miserable so might start with one of them. I have to admit Forbidden Love is definitely out of my comfort zone but I might try and get my hands on it and give it a try.

Also planning to read Shit my Dad says - It's one of the monthly reads for another group so that will work perfectly :)

Isabella Queirouz | 201 comments Hi Christine

It was a little hard picking for you, I was a little worried cause we have different taste in books and I was trying to put something you might like, so I hope I'm hitting the target in here.

1-The Biggest Loser: The longest with 1011 pages, Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
2-Modern Family: One that end up on my TBR, The Darkest hour KGI 1 by Maya Banks
3-Channel Surfer: One of the author you rate 5 stars Ilona Andrews in On The Edge The Edge 1
4-Law and Order: I see you never read Nora Roberts, so maybe Born in Fire Born In trilogy 1 is a good choice.
5-Dancing with the stars: The book Thief by Markus Zusak
6-That's So Raven: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern It's not a YA book but involves children in a significant role.
7-The amazing race: Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

Acheron (Dark-Hunter, #15) by Sherrilyn Kenyon is an amazing book. It was the perfect story for Acheron. I read it the first time in one sitting (on a plane trip from Baton Rouge to Seattle) and still reach for it every so often. Kenyon did an amazing job in that book. Kleenex warning however!

message 333: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Lacy, hope there's something here that you like:

1. The Biggest Loser -Jane Eyre (this is just an ok book in my estimate, but so well-known it’s good to read)

2. Modern Family- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (warning—very disturbing violence, but good characters; also, you'll likely want to read the other two books, so it's LOTS of pages)

3. Channel Surfer The Alchemist – a short, uplifting fable

From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations)- Very Valentine (2 of the 3 are out)

5. Dancing with the Stars –this was difficult, since your reading is so varied :) -The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Mccall Smith

6. That's So Raven - Eragon by Paolini

Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race – To Wed a Highlander by Sinclair

8. My Favorite Channel is... – American Idle by Holliday (I’ve already read this one, and thought that it was very cute, spoofy chick-lit)

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho Very Valentine by Adriana Trigiani The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, #1) by Alexander McCall Smith Eragon (Inheritance, #1) by Christopher Paolini To Wed A Highlander (McTiernay Brothers, #2) by Michele Sinclair American Idle by Alesia Holliday

I'm also going to try to squeeze in On the Edge and The Darkest Hour.

I hadn't heard of NIght Circus, but it looks really good, so I placed a request for it at the library (I resist buying hardbacks). There are 156 people ahead of me on the waiting list, so I don't know if I'll get it by the end of the month. : ( If not, I'll still read it when I finally get a copy.

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Hey Isabella, I am sorry for the delay but here is what I have come up with for you. If you don't find anything let me know.

From their TBR/new to them
1. The Biggest Loser - The Host is like 600 pages, but if you are feeling really ambitious you have already read book 1 so you could read book 2 World Without End with only 1014 pages
2. Modern Family - Garden Spellsor The Sugar Queen anything by Sarah Addison Allen always makes my list for a great contemporary with a bit of supernatural aspect to it.
3. Channel Surfer - Moon Shadows you really don't have any anthologies or short stories on your TBR (that I could see) so this is one of my favorites, it is a paranormal anthology
From your read
4. Law and Order (in all its iterations) - Lord of the Vampires (Royal House of Shadows, #1) or The Darkest Night both are good series, Royal House is unique because it is 4 authors each writing one of the stories.
5. Dancing with the Stars - The Perfect Wife or Mine Till Midnight you have a few historicals, but not many that I saw.
6. That's So Raven - City of Bones really enjoyed City of series, and we have both read Perfect Chemistry and both of us seem to need to read Rules of Attraction
Buddy Reads
7. The Amazing Race - The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
8. My Favorite Channel is... - (SciFi Channel) The Lightning Thief

The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer World Without End (The Pillars of the Earth, #2) by Ken Follett Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen Moon Shadows by Nora Roberts Lord of the Vampires (Royal House of Shadows, #1) (Harlequin Nocturne, #119) by Gena Showalter The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter
The Perfect Wife by Lynsay Sands Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry, #2) by Simone Elkeles The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan

It happens every month

but we are still sitting at nearly 80% of recommendations provided, so doing good
