Years ago I saw the films “The Prestige” and “The Illusionist.” Then I read The Prestige by Christopher Priest and The Barnum Museum: Stories by Steven Millhauser, which contains the story "Eisenstein, the Illusionist." So I read a non-fiction account of a Victorian/Edwardian era magician/illusionist, William Robinson (aka Chung Ling Soo), who lived a life of deceptions, on and off stage.
15.8 From a Different Perspective – The Painted Drum by Louise Erdrich 304 pages
There are four “parts” of the novel, each from a different POV. The first two are characters in the story, the third is an omniscient narrator, and the fourth is an epilogue by the first narrator.

Relating to this goal, I read A Father's Odyssey: 75 Marathons in 75 Consecutive Days by Terry Hitchcock. This is about a gentleman (who lives in my town!) who ran 75 marathons in 1996 to raise awareness for single parents.
