Jex is right- you've got to see it in a theater. On its own merits, it's a sucky movie. And if you see Rocky Horror in the theater, there's the advantage of seeing a bunch of men in fishnet stocking drag! Well, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's gross. If you search online, I'm sure you can find a supply list of things to bring to a show.

The first time you go to see Rocky Horror in a theater, make sure to tell everyone you're a "virgin".

I need to get to this one soon. Reyes is hot! But I heard he wasn't in the second book as much, which is a bummer.

BAH! So sorry, Sashana! I need to pay more attention when I'm typing! Consider me properly flustered by my mistake. >_<

message 666: by Jessica-Robyn (new)

Jessica-Robyn | 69 comments I think this is my third trip to the library in two weeks. And It's only going to get worse when I start going there to do school work.
Books Currently on Loan Total: 12 (new) + 7 (at home) = 19
Thankfully because I've only been at this library for 3 months my account has a cap at 20 books so I'm cut off for now. *starts to twitch*

I'm just going to see how many of these actually get read, or have to get returned before I even get a chance.

message 667: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments Jessica- I always have to return books before they get read too. I hate it, but my reading moods change so much I have to have a lot of variety at one time. Those I don't read in time get put on my library account wish list and I try again later.

Storm (stormgerlock) I just went to my new library since I moved and I already had things waiting for me on hold.

Checked Out:

Ripple by Mandy Hubbard Nearly a Lady by Alissa Johnson The Finishing Touches by Hester Browne Sabertooths and the Ice Age (Magic Tree House Research Guide, #12) by Mary Pope Osborne Black Blade Blues (Sarah Beauhall #1) by J.A. I think I'm going to read Ripple first cause I've heard a lot of good things about it.

message 671: by Jessica-Robyn (new)

Jessica-Robyn | 69 comments Sashana, I hope you enjoy Lola and the Boy Next Door! I just spent an all nighter finishing it yesterday and it was the best.

I went to the library today and have had another one of those hauls. I've smartened up though and brought my wheelie bag with me so I didn't have to kill myself on the walk home.
Check Out: Love*Com (Lovely*Complex), Volume 2 by Aya Nakahara Love*Com (Lovely*Complex), Volume 3 by Aya Nakahara Bakuman, Vol. 2 by Tsugumi Ohba Bakuman 03 by Tsugumi Ohba Bakuman 04 by Tsugumi Ohba Psych A Fatal Frame of Mind by William Rabkin Persepolis 2 The Story of a Return by Marjane Satrapi The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag (A Flavia de Luce Mystery #2) by Alan Bradley The Book of Awesome Snow Days, Bakery Air, Finding Money in Your Pocket, and Other Simple, Brilliant Things by Neil Pasricha Great Big Book of Fashion Illustration by Martin Dawber Graffiti Japan by Remo Camerota Deadly Cool (Deadly Cool, #1) by Gemma Halliday

I've also gone kind of hold crazy this month! My library gives each lender 50 free holds for the calender year. Every hold after 50 must be paid for (something like $0.50 each). Since I just got my card a couple months ago I have all these holds left! So, I've started planning ahead for 2012 and am putting holds out on items that are on order or have a seriously long line!

message 672: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Thanks, Jessica. I've decided to hold off on reading it until Janurary.

message 673: by Jex (new)

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments I managed to get the audiobook and the regular book of Juliet Immortal at the same time. The book had a long line so I put in for the audiobook. Funny how things work out in the end. Now which one do I want to use?

message 677: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I picked up:

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer - which is a movie being released this month and will probably be my first book of 2012

Journeys of a Lifetime 500 of the World's Greatest Trips by National Geographic Society - much bigger/heavier than I expected but the pictures are amazing.

message 678: by Jessica-Robyn (new)

Jessica-Robyn | 69 comments Carol, I just added Divergent to my list last week and it's great to see everyone has something good to say about it!

message 679: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I didn't love it (sorry to be a buzz kill). I thought it was okay. The truth is, I'm not sure if I'm a fan of Dystopia. I haven't enjoyed a Dystopia since I read inhaled the The Hunger Games trilogy. It's a tough book to follow though.

message 680: by BJ Rose (new)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 253 comments Just got back from vacation, so requested a bunch of books, including
The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies, #2) by Pittacus Lore - When Santa Fell To Earth by Cornelia Funke - 1022 Evergreen Place (Cedar Cove series, #10) by Debbie Macomber - Sing Down the Moon by Scott O'Dell - Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson - Indigo Blue (Comanche, #3) by Catherine Anderson - Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld

message 681: by Jessica-Robyn (new)

Jessica-Robyn | 69 comments Since I'm just starting in the Dystopia genre I'm trying to work my way up to godliness that is The Hunger Games. Divergent seems like a solid story but I can understand how difficult it is within such a strong genre to find books that will live up to past experiences. Sometimes you can also just like a book/series without liking the genre overall. :)
