Sashana Thanks :) I know it'll be good because it's Jennifer Cruise. I'm going to see if my library has it.

message 52: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Sashana, it looks good and if it had been in pa, I would have bought it. My friend stopped reading her cause the didn't like the new stuff but her friend who owns a bookstore (yeah I know, could you just die?) said that Crusie's latest is like her old stuff. So now my friend is getting it from the library.

I loved Bet Me. I think it's one of my favorite Jennifer Cruise books. I haven't read Clockwork Angel yet but I plan to (soon) because it is one of our BOM.

Heather | 504 comments You know I am so looking forward to No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon!!! From the buzz I heard, Kenyon has yet another winner. I still have to wait for it from the library and I hate waiting!

message 56: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Heather, I just requested Maybe This Time from my library. Sadly, I have to wait for 40 people to read it before I can :(. You’re the second person to mention Sherrilyn Kenyon today. I have to check her out now.

message 57: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Hee-hee, yeah I know, I have excellent taste eh? Don't worry, I have to wait for Kenyon's book and knowing how badly the library is now. You are in god company..

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Next Dark-Hunter book by Kenyon is due out on August 2, 2011. It's #20 and called Redemption (The story of Jess & Abby):

Here is the synopsis Kenyon put on her blog http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/book_p... -

"Harm no human...

A hired gunslinger, William Jessup Brady lived his life with one foot in the grave. He believed that every life had a price. Until the day when he finally found a reason to live. In one single act of brutal betrayal, he lost everything, including his life. Brought back by a Greek goddess to be one of her Dark-Hunters, he gave his immortal soul for vengeance and swore he’d spend eternity protecting the humans he’d once considered prey.

Orphaned as a toddler, Abigail Yager was taken in by a family of vampires and raised on one belief- Dark-Hunters are the evil who prey on both their people and mankind, and they must all be destroyed. While protecting her adoptive race, she has spent her life eliminating the Dark-Hunters and training for the day when she meets the man who killed her family: Jess Brady.

A gun in the hand is worth two in the holster...

Jess has been charged with finding and terminating the creature who’s assassinating Dark-Hunters. The last thing he expects to find is a human face behind the killings, but when that face bears a striking resemblance to the one who murdered him centuries ago, he knows something evil is going on. He also knows he’s not the one who killed her parents. But Abigail refuses to believe the truth and is determined to see him dead once and for all.

Brought together by an angry god and chased by ancient enemies out to kill them both, they must find a way to overcome their mutual hatred or watch as one of the darkest of powers rises and kills both the races they’ve sworn to protect."

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Lisarenee wrote: "Lacy, How'd you like the mating symbol on the cover of No Mercy?"

I really liked the symbol. It was different. Now that you really have me looking at it again I'm thinking that it would make a really cool tat.

message 67: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I can see a rush on those already. Kenyon should make a list for all the mating symbols and people could pick the one from their favorite character.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments That is a great idea. Maybe one day I really will go get something put on my body, but I have to get over that fear of needles first.

message 69: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I'll never get a tattoo. I couldn't deal with the pain. Did you ever look at her Facebook account? It has some tattoo from her fans listed.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Yeah, I drop by to look at them sometimes. Normally I start looking when my sister starts talking about getting another tat. She has five already. I think they are beautiful works of art and I've been working my way up to getting one for a while now. It just a really hard choice because once it is done it is there for life.

message 71: by Lisarenee (last edited Sep 17, 2010 06:15AM) (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I got my ears pierced when I was little by my doctor when I had my tonsils taken out. I was totally knocked out or I'd probably have screamed. Some of the tattoos are very pretty. I agree they'll be there pretty much for good. It is a hard choice.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Well I already have two cartlidge piercings in my ears. The first didn't hurt at all, but I had some really great eye candy at the time and the second hurt like hell. Those piercings will still be in my ears when I am 80 and they can take them out when I die. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I really freak it I have to see the needle they are using.

Sans Lacy, my tats didn't hurt that much. It felt more like a deep itch. I have a largish one on my lower back, some kanji above that along my spine and a Celtic knot along my spine above my shoulder blades. I had a labret and an eyebrow piercing done when I was 20 (took them out a while ago) and those didn't hurt beyond a sharp pinch.

Yeah my sister keeps telling me that the tats don't hurt and she has one on the top of her foot which is supposed to be one of the most painful places. I'm thinking I may get one in Nov. in remembrance of my father, but I have to figure out exactly what I want and where I'm going to put it first.

Lacy, that would be cool if you got one for your Dad. I did the same thing for my Mom when she had surgery and 'died' for 4 minutes after the surgeon sewed her up. I have one sleeve (right arm), left arm is almost a sleeve (still one spot left), my chest, lower legs (both) and my lower back (nope, not a tramp stamp but my friend calls it that). Once you feel the first jab of the needles, you will be on a high..
