I received my Black Science V3 the other day and when I put it on the shelf, I realized that for V3 I bought the DCBS variant, but I didn't for the other two. And I still have the original glued binding of V1.
For those with the DCBS variants on all three, do the front covers connect into one big picture? What color is the text on the spines?
Obviously the contents are fine but on the shelf they are a mess and my OCD doesn't like it.

I don't have all the DCBS variant for all the Black Science books. I looked at the spines last night. Thanks to the bar set by the DC spine design department, there wasn't enough spine differences in these three volumes to trigger my OCD. :P
From IST I ordered the James Bond 007 Warren Ellis HC omnibus (standard size), the Lady Killer library edition, and the last couple available volumes of Witch Hat Atelier to have me caught up on that series.

Also finished the mount and frame of my Ken Lashley Daredevil sketch I bought last month: https://imgur.com/a/gmtgZif
Love seeing people get their art framed. Thanks for sharing. :)
Looks like the Lady Killer Library Edition and She-Hulk omnibus are sold out on IST. They are backordered with the distributor. I like to think they will get more copies in.

IST just lists things as unavailable when their stock is depleted. If it is still something they can order from Diamond or another distributor they usually restock. With everything going on I'm not sure we can get really solid info on what is available for restocking from Diamond. Still waiting for some things to be released that were supposed to be in Diamond's warehouse already.

I do have DCBS variants for the black science volumes 1 & 2 and the covers not the same as the variant for Vol. 3.
Vol. 3 is the only DCBS variant that is the entire cover, the first two volume variants are different art, but still have the white column on the left with the black science logo. Blind . . . Your vol. 1 & 2 may be variants if the full cover vs white side bar cover is how you are determining variant.

Yes, the different designs on the covers are what made me think one was a variant and one wasn't. Turns out my V2 was a variant also, have to double-check my V1. Thanks for the confirmation.

Ordered the Silver Surfer Omnibus (regular Buscema cover). It's a little bittersweet. Waited a long time for this before I broke down and bought the MMWs a few months ago.

Looks like IST sold out of both covers already. Hopefully they will get more. This pandemic issues continue to impact distribution but it is hard to tell how much might be other factors (low print runs?).

IST needs to do something about these low stock items. I’m willing to wait on a lot of stuff if I have some assurance from IST of a restocking, but with something like the SS Omni (a reprint of a long out of print and expensive aftermarket) I’ve got to go with Amazon.
I’m curious about the lower discounts from IST and CGN and I’m sure others. I figured they are trying to recoup lost revenue from the last two months and less revenue because of less product and fewer stores ordering? Not really complaining just wondering.
IST is expecting to get more copies (regular cover only) of the Silver Surfer omnibus. No exact date available as of yet.
Finally read Bone by Jeff Smith. It's a zany fantasy story written and published over 10 years you can read it all in one go in the color one volume slip cased collection hardcover. It has plenty of action with some bloody scenes but no real gore, sex, or profanity. It's certainly closer to family friendly than not. The book won 10 Eisner awards and awards from a half dozen European countries.
The first couple reviews on Amazon (US site) contain pictures of the book that may be helpful if anyone is interested: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/188...
This book periodically goes on sale on Amazon and drops down to around $65. Not really sure what to compare the series to. It has a touch of innocence and humor that reminds me of reading the newspaper funnies, adventure that reminds me of reading Carl Barks/Don Rosa's Duck comics, and a story fit for a good fantasy novel.
Overall I enjoyed this and I'm glad I read it. It hasn't leaped to the top of my list of favorite comic books but I suspect had I read this as a teen it would have been. I could see myself reading this a again in a year or so, something I can't always say after finishing a book.
Edit to add: It looks like I have six Goodreads friends who have read and rated this book and all gave it five stars. For those who follow fantasy, Brandon Sanderson reviewed this on Goodreads and speaks well of it.

Jesse wrote: "I've been interested to read the John Wick. That's Pak isnt it? Hes so underrated."
It is by Greg Pak. His Planet Hulk story was excellent. I'd be interested in hearing about whether his Wick story is good too. :)
I'll have to pick up Isola vol 2 and the final volume of Drifting Classroom. I felt like the second volume of Drifting Classroom wasn't nearly as good as the first volume.
Also interested in Wagner's Batman book. Can't tell by Amazon if it standard size for sure but I suspect it is. It does have 488 pages so that's a fair amount of content. Content description: This volume collects all of Wagner's meticulously crafted tales from the pages of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #28-30, Batman: Riddler--The Riddle Factory, Batman Black and White #3, Batman: The Monster Men #1-6, Batman: The Mad Monk #1-6, and Batman #54. Wagner's beautifully painted covers for Batman #626-641 are also presented here for the first time in a special gallery section, together with his iconic covers for Detective Comics #647-649 and more!

Yeah, this is what Diamond is listing but I don't know that everything listed was actually released last week on IST (if it did the quantities were limited enough they sold out right off the bat).

I'm probably going to pick up Fourth World also. I'd like to read it, just don't know if I want to pay for 3-4? volumes of it. If the Omnibus is the same size as the Hellblazer, I agree it is too cumbersome.

Glad to see Berserk DLX vol 5 still available when I finally got a break from work. Ordered that and Isola TPB vol 2 and TIANANMEN 1989 Our Shattered Hopes HC.
A bit disappointed Absolute Fourth World didn't make the 50% off list.

I already have one piece of Matteo Scalera art from Black Science (Issue 18 page 21) but decided I wanted another. This isn’t representative of his style in the book, but loved this page (Black Science Issue 36 p.22):

Very nice pick up Nick! Looks great, and having something more unique like that is always ideal.
Now that I finished Black Science I can fully appreciate what he’s capable of. Congrats on the pickup!

Excited to get it, feels like a lifetime since I got a new Spidey HC (Didn't manage to get a copy of JMS Vol 2 before it was pushed back)
Steve wrote: "Just added the Captain America Vibranium Edition from Ollie’s for $39.99. It normally retail’s for $200"
That's a great deal. :) I'd pick one up at that price too.
I'm waiting for the Garney cover for JMS Spider-Man omnibus 2. Not sure when copies will drop.
