I was wondering, don't know if this was asked before but when leveling up if I read a 200+ book and want to use it for level 2 but haven't read a 100+ book for level 1 would it still count for level 2 or would I have to complete level 1 before moving on to level 2 etc ??

You can store books as long as you want in your backpack. If you read a 1000+ page book then you could store it until June or whenever you were able to utilize it. So saving specialty books may be of benefit to you. You can't level to level 2 though without going through level 1.

Bestiary of the World
Common Monsters - Common monsters exist everywhere in staggering amounts. After you kill one though the others scurry back into their holes for a week. You may either wait a week for them to become hungry and venture out again or bribe them out by using one of your spare books. Unfortunately, books used in this way are eaten and aren't good for anything else.

-Goblin - A green little angry fellow that likes to stab weary (and unweary) travelers with sharp pointy sticks.

Uncommon Monsters - Each of these monsters only has a limited population left. After exhausting the remaining population they will be extinct. Since there are so few of these monsters, they stick around each other like glue. Killing one won't scare off the others.

-Omnibus Troll - The Omnibus Troll is the perfect mix of all trolls in one. It's big and ugly and can occasionally sing Disney based songs when near donkeys. (Population: 3)
7 Attack 35 Health - Reward: 3 Experience, 1 Heal Potion.

-Lexicon Ness Monster - The Lexicon Ness Monster is a close cousin of another more popular lake dwelling creature. It spends it's days frolicking in the water, making bubbles and eating unsuspecting boaters. (Population: 2)
10 Attack 30 Health - Reward: 3 Experience, 1 Minor Poison Potion.

Rare Monsters - Only one of each of these monsters exist in the world. Killing them will be challenging but will reap great rewards.

-Great Red Dragon - A flaming fiery beast with one molten eye that gleams with the fires of.... well, you know. This beast is highly magical. Your magic staff will only do half of it's normal damage however your sword has an additional 2 attack against this beast.
15 Attack 50 Health - Reward: 30 Experience, Orb of Fire (Adds 3 attack to a magic staff)

Great Green Dragon - This earth dragon lives deep under a mountain of steel. This beast has become almost immune to the touch of a sword but fire will soften his armor. Your sword will only do half of it's normal damage however your magic staff has an additional 2 attack against this beast.
18 Attack 40 Health - Reward: 30 Experience, Orb of Earth (Adds 3 attack to a sword)

-Great Blue Dragon - This dragon rules the seas, and lakes, and streams, and inlets, and fjords and probably lots of other water related terms. Both of your weapons have a tendency to hit a bit softer on this beast (half as hard if you want to know specifics). However, for each healing potion you use, the blue dragon loses 5 health points.
15 Attack 60 Health - Reward: 30 Experience, Orb of Water (Automatically heal one health at the end of every fight)

-Great Yellow Dragon - This dragon rules the air. Yes... Like all the other flying dragons. But this one rules it extra special. Your one advantage is bat wings. Yes, bat wings. You can use 2 bat wings for a turn to fly up and meet the dragon on it's own turf and increase your attack power by 5!
15 Attack 80 Health - Reward: 30 Experience, Orb of Air (For quests requiring 4 or more items, this reduces the amount of items needed for a quest by 1).

-Great Novel Dragon - The king of all dragons, the Great Novel Dragon has been featured in stories far and wide. To fell this mighty beast you must be the strongest of all the hero's in all the lands in all the worlds in all the universes and so on and so forth.

I know first is quest, but I don't get what's the difference in healings beside 'solving' them?

I think the only difference is that the first one earns you a minor heal potion (which you can use any time) and the second earns you hp (you would only use this if your character has lost hp in a battle)

Also, I think the healing potions that you get from the healing quest can be used during battles where you run out of HP mid battle. They will give a big hit of HP in one go. Whereas the general heal can be completed anytime, likely after a battle to top up HP and could probably be classed as a heal over time since you get 1 HP per book you read for it.

10 Hp is your max starting so you can't heal over that. Remember that when you level you heal to your new max so if you're at 1 HP then level you're up at 12 then :)

Oh, but a note is that you could store up "heal" books in your reserve to use at a later date.

You'll need them for sure to kill off the rare monsters. I estimated needing about 10 of the good healing potions to kill off the Great Novel Dragon even with good stats. They'll be more ways to earn them as we go along in the year.

You get the HP just from the act of leveling. It's also full hp at that point so any damage you've taken is gone.

This challenge is a bit confusing at first.
For the monster we don't have to wait for a quest. They can attack whenever they (you, really) want. Common monster can only attack once every week. The uncommon monsters can attack only 2-3 times and the Rare monsters only once.
Here is where Kelly explains it in detail.

1) You can do the Healing spell-it-out as often as you like. You can do the Healing quest (for Minor Healing Potions) as long as the quest is available.

2) Rules: "Quests may be embarked upon at any time while they are posted on the quest board and may be completed only once per Hero. During the course of the year, quests may be taken off the board and new quests added." You can finish the quest only as long as it is on the Quest board!

Rules: "Timewalking potion. Allows one quest to be completed after it has been removed from the current quest list."

If this happens to you (the quest is taken off the board) while you have the quest in progress, you can use the Timewalking potion and finish the quest.

3) There would be new quests added as the game progresses. Some of the items are not available yet.

Angel, this question is more difficult to answer.

The rules state "spell a healing word". I would interpret it that you should spell the whole word. I find it more logical and more in the spirit of the challenge. If you could change the word every single time you needed to heal then what would be the point of setting up a spelling-out challenge the rules could simply say: "You regain 1 hp per book (i.e. any book)".

But this is just my interpretation. You should probably wait for one of the mods to settle the matter. :)
