I have read some previous paperback novels from this author that were quite pricey so when I saw this Kindle one for free, I was quick to download.
I'm not a fan of cheating but it is handled well although when the discussion to end the marriage comes between her and her husband I found his reasoning strange and we never really understand why he had become how he had or why he didn't want to try. I suspect that was to make us feel empathy for the heroine and that it was acceptable she became unfaithful.
As with this authors books there is a lot of erotic sex but at the beginning, I was surprised at Debbie's over confidence during sex 'will you let me swallow'?!, 'I want to touch myself for you, I want you to watch'! I would have expected her to be more shy and a little less forward but then this is erotic fiction!
Stephen knows Debbie but she doesn't realise who he is when she first meets him. All she know is this stranger turns her on. There is not a lot of romance as it definitely reads like an affair with them just meeting up for sex ...I'm not sure I felt them fall in love (the I love you's happen quite early on).
It's worth a read for a freebie but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of her previous novels.
Gorgeous, sexy book, i reccommend this book! I love Jasmine Hayes books, she knows how to write a sexy romance book. This was one of her best so far that I have read. I fell in love with Stephen from the first time he was in the book, omigawd, he was a hot 50 year old man! Who would not want a Stephen in their lives? Debbie's character was less easy to like, because she was stuck in a rut and did not do anything about it other than breaking Stephen's heart, and yes I think a man's heart can be broken even if he is the other man, it's the married person who should shoulder any and all blame for cheating. I would say, Debbie almost didn't deserve Stephen, almost. The reason I did not give this book 5stars was the rushed ending where the intensity of their love could have been explored, instead it was all very cut and dried until they re-united, and even then it was a little cold. All in all, though, a good book by JH, only because of the Hero, Stephen.
So while the erotic elements of this story were well done and I enjoyed the story characters as individuals this story unfortunately rubbed against one of my plot issues. I severely dislike cheating. Especially in a case like this where there's really nothing wrong with Debbie's husband. He's not a bad guy, but their relationship has deteriorated. If you're that unhappy in your life, cheating isn't the answer, getting out of the relationship is. This bugged me throughout the whole story and really took me away from enjoying the relationship that was developing between Debbie and Stephen.
This sexy, quick read was about Debbie, who was living in a passionless marriage, and Stephen, an business contact that Debbie has never met in person but chats with via email daily. One night Debbie's girlfriends go out to celebrate one of them getting married (again) and go to an exclusive sex club. What Debbie doesn't know is that one of her friends has arranged for Stephen to be there to seduce her.....
This was a very sweet erotica, and written with care considering Debbie is still married but so very lonely and missing the passion that used to be a part of her married life. Stephen is great. We believe that he fell in love with Debbie via email and their connection in person is even more electric. Very nice read with an older May/December vibe. (Debbie is almost 40 and Stephen is almost 50.)
I love Jasmine Haynes. Review borrowed from an Amazon reviewer This is the type of Erotica I like, it doesn't get too kinky and no one gets hit, spanked, or tied up, just some good sex with lots of passion... and it has a story to go along with it... But I did take a star off for one thing, the women was married for 15 yrs. to a nice guy who had some problems and he didn't show her any passion. I don't agree with cheaters, male for female, she should of divorced and then did her exploring. I might of even been able to handle it if her husband cheated on her first or something but he was a nice guy. Anyway.... other than that little detail, this was a good story and it held my interest and I will look into getting some of the others in this series... I like that this author makes each book a stand alone book... and it has some interesting characters...
3.5 Stars I really like this authors writing. They always have Hot Steamy sex scenes and are always a pleasure to read. Each book in this series is a different couple! So none of that cliffhanger, serial, overpriced need to read numerous books to get your HEA. Great characters and they Are Not your new adult whinny books! I need to get as many of her books as I can and I'm avidly working on that.
Yes, this has low ratings. My advice is, If you love super steamy stories with Real Adults, ignore the ratings and go for it. Just pick any of her books and I guarantee it will set your kindle on fire!
The story about a woman whose husband apparently does not find her desirable any more. She has the opportunity to go to a no questions asked sex club for a bachelorette get together and she decides to go just to find out if she is still desirable to other men.
Little does she know that someone that she has done some work for and only communicated with through email is also there to meet and hopefully to do what he can to bring her out of her depressed state that he has sensed in their computer communication. Their first encounter is enough for Debbie to desire more, especially with the man she had been with the first time.
After two more trips to the club, she hears nothing from the man and does not receive any more invitations. Has he grown tired of her? Is she less desirable after the three encounters? Debbie finally agrees to meet Stephen, the contractor, for whom, she makes stained glass windows. She feels betrayed when she discovers that Stephen and her mystery man are one and the same, but at the same time she realizes that she does need him.
After some soul searching and a discussion with her husband a divorce is decided to be the best. She continues to receive work from Stephen but in all other matters she ignores him. He finally receives and invitation to the sex club and the two meet and start their life together.
The moment I started reading this, I just couldn't stop. The problem of having an impotent husband got to me. It's my first time to encounter the subject in erotica, because usually, the male leads are alpha males who just leaves the heroine breathless from great sex. Anyway, going back to Invitation to Seduction, I found it unique because of its elegant and mature vibe. It sets an ambiance that just lures you into the story, involves you. A good book does that. Needless to say, it was well-written.
It just goes to show that if it's meant to be, then it's meant to be. If someone truly loves and is meant to be with you, he/she will be there, waiting for you, once you're ready.
My only problem with it is the connivance between Stephen and Stacy. It was a bit too coincidental, in my opinion. But maybe that's just life, right? The most unlikely coincidence may just be one's ticket to a happy ever after.
This story is like a lot of people I know go through where their spouse and them don't click anymore and avoid each other but when it's one sided like this one is sad. When you try your best to feel connected to your partner and they want no part your heartbreaks and makes you feel so alone and that part would hurt me to the core. Debbie is sweet but is a very sexual person who has a partner who doesn't care and Stephen is already in love from just writing emails back and forth because he hired her to make glass work she makes. Debbie is so drawn to him just through emails and she thinks it's crazy to feel this way when you never met someone. But when her friend invites her to a sex club for her bachelorette party she can't say know but what she doesn't know it's on purpose they bring her and that Stephen is there also. He knows her instantly but she has no clue who he was and after the first night does she return to see if she can see the mystery man. This book is great and sexy as hell.
Loved this story. It's about 125 pgs. Very detailed and good story line. This one hit home for me. It's a story about a loveless marriage. Debbie has been married for 15 years. There is love and respect in their marriage but no bedroom love. When her husband refuses to change or find out why, she knows there is no hope for passion to be I. Their marriage again. Her best friend seen the changes she went looking for her friend a soul mate. Stephen is in love with Debbie before he met her just from the passion of her work and the business emails they send back and forth. When her friend takes her to a sex club to explore she meets Stephen but doesn't know his name since everyone uses fake names. They hit it off. Slowly he shows her love and passion. She finally talks to her husband and he still refuses to change or see a doctor so she decides it's time for divorce. She contacts Stephen again and the know the love and passion still burn between them.
Debbie Carter is frustrated in her marriage. For months her husband has avoided sharing their bed. Feeling alone and undesired, she joins her two best friends for a bachelorette party at a sex club. When she attracts the attention of a handsome stranger, the fire between them sets her desires ablaze and his seduction becomes addictive. She wasn't planning on cheating on her husband or to have an affair, but it has been so long since she felt alive and wanted that Debbie couldn't resist it. Stephen Knight arrives at the club with his sights set on the woman he's been falling for months now. She is beautiful, sexy and has no idea how much he wants her. In his bed. In his life. But she is married, and if a wild night is all he can have, then so be it. Invitation to Seduction is a steamy romance about self discovery and falling in love. It is extremely sensual and will test set boundaries.
After 15 years of marriage Debbie is at a loss since the intimate side is at lowest ebb. Her friends have planned a bachelorette party where she encounters Stephen. In fact Stephen has been corresponding through email for business with Debbie. She finds him attractive and respond to his invitation at an adult club. They become lovers and Stephen confesses his true identity after several weeks and admits being in love with her. However she is not ready to admit defeat in her marriage. Eventually she divorces her husband and comes back to Stephen who promises to cherish till his last breath.
I am not a fan of storylines. But this one did a really great job. I liked the characters overall, the only thing that bugged was the male lead was a bit creepy obsessive, but I tend to find a certain type of behaviour creepy and it somehow did not detract from the story. This was also a SUPER quick read. Lotsa sex too. Since I know that's what you really want to know about ;). So, if you like steamy reads and are not completely turned off by , I'd recommend this one.
I was honestly surprised by this book. I didn't expect to like it at all, so that fact that I was able to appreciate it for what it is--an overtly sexual plot with cheating an integral part of it, speaks for itself. Definitely don't expect a very developed story line here, but the plot that exists is actually believable to some extent, or at least makes the reader curious about what (and who) is really out there!
Stacy, Virginia and Debbie are going to a sex club for Virginia's bachelorette party. Stacy planned it but not for the reason Debbie had thought. Stacy knows how unhappy Debbie is and hopes add some excitement. But she doesn't wants Debbie to get hurt so invites Stephen to the club to watch over her. But Stephen has other plans. He cares for Debbie but she doesn't know it but he can't do anything because she is married. So he us there but wants more.
I'm not a fan of reading about cheating spouses. Even though I understand why she did it. I didn't understand the husband not wanting to do any thing to help his problem. That was never made clear as to why he wouldn't get help. He was very weird. Did not like the Sex Club at all. Having said all that I think Jasmine Haynes is a good writer she evoked several emotions from me involving this topic.
so many good books and when you cant get out of bed books are your best friends. this was cute and sexy and a guilt free read. A brides last night as a single woman turned into a sexy affair, by one of the other woman attending the party cant say I would disagree with Debbie, self masturbation and a loveless marriage making you feel as unwanted when you meet a man who sparks your skin how can you say no.

I know people cheat. Sometimes it's hard to read about it. This isn't one of those times. These two characters are perfect for each other. The author did a great job with the steamy scenes and their dialogue. You should definitely check it out.
This was a very good story. It is sadly a reality in many marriages. It gives a behind the scenes look into a dying marriage and the wife's struggle with having an affair. Lots of hot scenes as well.
the story was good and realistic.I applaud the woman for finding herself and then knowing that she had to make a decision about the rest of her life without the passion she craved.
I haven't read erotica in a long time. This was very well written with a couple taboo situations from cheating to partnering up in a sex club. I actually felt bad for Debbie. The book is very descriptive and has a happy ending. Thanks for the entertainment.
The erotica was good but I just didn't get the adultery or why she wouldn't leave her husband for Stephan or why she was upset that Stephan was the contractor.
Debbie is in a marriage that has become platonic. Her husband is unable to be what she needs, and she is devastated at her loneliness. With some friends she attends a Sex Club and meets some one there. Of course, you know how that ends. Writing is OK but nothing special. A time passer for me.
This book is very good. Although the adultery part was hard to accept, but I could understand how it happened. I love the characters and how the book is just like real life.
I really enjoyed reading this it was adults my own age an not 18-25 it's nice to read sexy things about grown ups. This is a HOT sexy good read. The charters are great and intreging. Can't wait to grab up the next in th set.
This is not a book I would have normally picked up but read for a book club. I am not a fan of cheating and after reading this read. I know I will not read one like this again. It simply was not for me. I did however like the authors writing style and will definitely pick up another of her books.
