Bwahaha! I hear ya! It took me weeks to finish my resume and I didn't apply for a certain position until it was 4 hours away from no longer being open, but I could sit here and plan my reading for days on end.
We should do like a crazy TT that runs for like 6 months or something lol

I wonder how long it will take us to reach 20,000 points. It seems like a lot but when you consider how many people are salivating at the thought of buddy reads giving them points, it might not be as hard to obtain as one might think.

That's what I mean! We should do something like 100,000 points and see how long it takes lol Okay, may be going a little overboard

TT is my absolute favorite 'challenge' because it can be so fun and motivating to watch team points go up, to interact with your own team as well as opposing teams, plus it just feels like a fun game to me and I love games. Oh, and it doesn't require you to read a certain number of books each week.
Last year, there were some fun little inter-team challenges and battles being waged to see which of two teams could read more pages within a certain time span, and so on, not to mention all the puzzles that the mods threw at us so we could earn "cupcakes" (currency) to spend on points. That got a little crazy but it was still fun and creative on the mods' parts.

Thanks. I've been wanting to read it for a while now but haven't had the motivation to. I think reading with friends is just the motivation I need.

I already couldn't wait for this challenge, and now you have made me ever more excited which I didn't think was possible. Mentioning cupcakes? Shoot.

Now I want a cupcake. It's bedtime and I have none.
I'd want all the Nicolas Sparks books on them so I could eat them and pretending I'm destroying the actual books.

I would also love to add myself to the upcoming Outlander buddy read here, yay!!"
Sure Nicole, I'll make a note of it. I have you down for Crime and Punishment on November 12th, Outlander on November 17th, and The King's Curse on November 8th. Any others that I've missed?

lol!
I have to read The Notebook for one of my RL book clubs.... groan... I'm just going to keep picturing Ryan Gosling and remember it is only about 200 pages

So, would that count as a BOM for the Tower Teams, or a Buddy Read? Since it's an old BOM, can you still write discussion questions for the points? If not, it'd be better for it to count as a Buddy Read, since you get 10 points more for BRs.

Sure! We can do it around November 8th and then both just read slowly while I do some other buddy reads. If that's okay with you?

Could I join in? I've just recently got this book and never done a buddy read before. :D

Absolutely!

I want to read Halo, I can't get it from the library until Dec. 30th. I also have Touch on my TBR list. So I'm tempted to join one of those.

Let me know if you decide to read them and then we can set a date. :)

I just reserved Halo from the Library, so if you can wait by reading it until January that would be perfect?
Touch I could read in December if you want?

I just noticed I have access to this one. So I might join you also, if I can make it fit into my reading plans :)

For the Buddy Reads Requests, you have Becky requesting a buddy for

While you're there, I put in a request for another series buddy read. :)
Thanks!!

I think I caught up with everyone.
